The truth is that there is no proper kilometer range for chain cleaning and chain lubing. What's practical is to do it according to the range mentioned by Bullet Guru or whenever your chain gets dirty enough to qualify for clean & lube, whichever is earlier. The amount of dirt depends on which conditions you are driving, monsoon, sand, dirty mud with rain etc. It's better to clean it just before it starts getting too dirty.

ATTENTION: Guys please be careful with this chain lubrication process. Today my cousin got his fingers crushed and permanently lost two of his fingers 😢. I don't even have a RE but I wanted to share this personal experience as I don't want any of you to go through that. Please let whoever in your circle that owns a RE bike know this. Be extra careful during this process and spread the word 🙏
P.S: The information I got from a third party tells me that my cousin was doing this with the engine turned on. Will mention the exact incident after contacting him directly.

The best chain lube by far is engine/gear oil. Make sure it is unused and not burnt oil which many mechanics are using in their shops.
Kerosene plus motul chain lub is best for the O ring chains but kerosene is hard to find plus you cannot carry it for touring ! but as long as you are doing breakfast rides and returning home, then kerosene is best for cleaning

I have used many chain lubes on my duke 250 over the past 3 years and i found "OKS chain lube" the best and comparatively cost effective. this lube is easily available at any bajaj service center. bike runs like butter with this lube

same feeling bro. i have been using motul but it won't last for long and not as smooth and it easily attracts dust. But once I don't have the availability of motul then i bought "oks chain lube" for the first time which has Been suggested by shop guy. i was totally surprised by its performance. very long lasting and butterly smooth.

I have been using wurth chain spray which is a bit thick and does collect dust like any other lube, but the life despite agressive riding is always within 800-1000km range

I used 68 no oil after using lube fir one year. 68 no is hydraulic oil which is thinner than gear oil which is 40 no. Bike is much more smoother than with lube. Pick up is also better after using 69.

Bro you shouldn't recommend diesel and petrol for cleaning chain as they might damage the o-rings which are made of rubber. The best cleaner is Kerosene (recommended almost universally by every motorcycle expert).

Nope. You shoukd watch fortnine videos. Kerosine gets inside the oring/xring/zring rubbers. Best is gear oil.

U can use Diesel but don't use petrol cuz it damage the chain rings
Diesel actually happens to be a good cleaning agent as it has good degreasing properties and is not that harsh on the rings either.

Bhai, is waxol greese is good to apply on chain. because other lubricants stay for maximum of 250 to 400 km but greese is staying more thism 750 km.
80/90 gear oil is the best in my opinion and cost effective.What one spends in 250 ml of motul chain lube ,you can get 1 litre of 80/90 gear oil .Just get a oil can and you are set .It comes off easily and not a mess to clean .Does a perfect job lubricating

If u r looking for easy availability and cost effectiveness....then use the following (from my experience of past 2 yrs on Royal Enfield)
1.Chain cleaner:Diesel spray (Rs 70to 77/L)
2.Chain lube:New unused engine oil of any brand(Rs100 to 300 per 500ml)
3.Tyre polish(Take a cup,put 1 tsp of sugar n 50ml water.....mix it properly till all sugar dissolves...use it over the cleaned tyre surfaces.....works great n effective)
3.Matte engine polish:Clean the engine with shampoo water to remove all the dirt n dust n after drying it spray some diesel n wipe with a cloth)
4.Glossy paint polish: use Carnauba wax (Rs300 to 500 per 230gm container)......

i purchased vista after watching this video . thought 500ml in very cheap price and good reviews is very good deal but it is worst ......
Vista hardly bear the rain ...within 15 mins of rain ..vista washes out form chain . i have tried all other lubs also . nobody survived compare to royal enfiled chain lube. RE chain lube survives minimum 6 to 8 hours of continous rain.

Vista....no way...I have been using this..it is durable...but the dirt accumulating is a lot.. Takes a lot of time and effort for cleaning....BT in motul it's super easy to clean...o suggest motul ..if you think price is high....I say it's worth it

Engine oil bahut jaldi dry hota hein.. every 2 day lubrication karna padta hein..not so efficient
sticky wala mai sayad milage kam ho jata hai ..mera experience se bol raha hu motul lagana se feel hota hai sb clean hai acha se move hota hai but sticky wala aysa lagta hai thora slow hai so milage kam hoga
i use motul. chain clean and chain lube... works fine for me
