I’d say if they’re crawling off the bar stool that they start with hitting the gym, then the range, then when they get their life back in order, let the farmers know they can help. Service members are useful because of their level of fitness and discipline.

I'm a 65 yr. Women who live alone in the woods, so I appreciate your ideas about defense. In a war situation, I will hide my car on the nearby state land, then cut some trees down over the entrance of my driveway and scruff up the ground, erasing all signs of a driveway. Then, I will dig large holes in the ground with pointed spikes in the bottom of the holes. Finally, I'll cover the holes with branches. I'll also do smaller holes throughout the woods, twisting the ankles of those approaching. I've also got a few tree stands to shoot my arrows and other weapons from.

A few things could be changed at or near the gate.
The mount system that you mentioned make it in a L shape to put your OP
At the gate turn the driveway 90%to the house so any vehicle coming is broadside to the house.
Raised beds use concrete culverts 3-4 ft across stood on end filled with soil. Great barriers for vehicle.
Build trellis to direct people in the direction that you want people to travel. They might have concealment but no cover.
    Tangle foot planted with raspberry
Use of motion detectors mounted in blind areas that have remote lights.that will turn on lights behind the the person or animal setting it off. So as to highlight them. You see them they don't see you. Also it will confuse them for a few seconds.

If u need to fallback to your house, you could always set fire to your perimeter & rely on your firebreak IFF you also have a wide driveway... nail a soda can to a tree -- next to 1 of the approaches to the house (a path in the forest, e.g.) fill TANNERITE into the soda cans, then seal using hot wax... Mount 2' above soil & where you can SHOOT these cans from your home's windows...place GASOLINE N SOAP into a 1 gallon Hawaiian Punch plastic bottle under each tannerite-can, or include steel-scrap in the tannerite... Gasoline will LIGHT UP their position so u don't need NODS to see & pick-off the survivors (try to let 6 men get past the tannerite-laden tree). But WITHOUT a firebreak, u risk burning yourself.
EASY CHEAP ideas to slow intruders: leaking garden hose DRIVE 3"long NAILS THRU IT, EACH 120* (360* = 3 x 120*) TO ASSURE 1 NAIL IS ALWAYS FACING "UP" -- repeat each 8" so most truck tire widths get nailed -- LIKE A POLICE "STOP STRIP".
OLD STEELCASE AMMO: turn it into a "foot (mini) land mine": Hardware store find metal tubing or pipe to fit the diameter of your size steelcase (or REALLY worn reloaded-12-times brass). Find a STEEL WASHER the correct size to fit or slightly larger than your tube. Glue BALL BEARING into center hole of washer -- this ball is your "firing pin". This is your "lower tube". Cut it JUST longer than yer steelcase. Replace berdan primer & load 100% full of powder -- you won't crimp a projectile into it. Buy a slightly-smaller diameter tube that rests atop the shoulders of a rifle steelcase OR atop the pistol steelcase's lip -- when a foot (or tire) pushes this upper tube, anything >15 or 20lb off weight drives the brass/steelcase into the ball bearing enough to detonate the primer. FILL WITH BROKEN GLASS, BENT SCREWS & OTHER TRASH. It'll turn the foot (OUT TIRE) into ground beef. Since he's WOUNDED NOT DEAD, this slows at least 1 unwounded man in his squad. WRAP A CONDOM AROUND EACH SO RAIN WATER DOESN'T NEUTER THEM. Alternative: fill a wine bottle with gasoline n soap. Bury the tubes deeper so the wide/bottom-end of this bottle is barely peeking above the soil grade. Don't pack soil too tight against the "shoulders" of wine bottle. Turn the cork-end of the bottle UP if u want more weight to be "the only thing that can detonate it". AVOID WILDLIFE & PETS/KIDS setting it off by putting these BETWEEN TWO PERIMETER-FENCES, PARALLEL TO EACH OTHER. Use a soda can if worried heavy trucks can break the bottle -- this is more of an "area weapon (4-5 men if they're dumb enough to "bunch up") and (if steel scrap added to gasoline) puncture+enflame unarmored vehicle interiors.

Thanks, fellas. I gotta say, it warms my heart to see a few badass dudes standing around, chatting about the tactical applications of permaculture.
Far too few people factor “defensibility” into their property selection process, which will create HUGE problems for the homesteader post-collapse, when folks become hungry and desperate, and emergency services personnel opt to stay home and protect THEIR loved ones.
If you and your family is shelter-, energy-, food-, water-independent when the SHTF, you can bet your ass your less-diligent neighbours will figure it out, and try to take what you have.
Best to “prepare to prevail”, methinks - and THAT begins with selecting a property you can defend from raiders, and a community that can help you do it. 😎👍

For everyone that says this can’t/won’t happen. My grandmother (born in 1923) would tell stories about how her brothers had to patrol with rifles on her family’s farm perimeter in Oklahoma. She said people were so hungry that they’d peel the bark off the fruit trees. She said they’d help when they could but sometimes they only had enough for themselves. Remember Americans then were more civil minded much more moral and knowledgeable about how to do the things necessary things to feed themselves.
As a side note she said the boys in the her class would ride in off the range, after working in the morning, and sit down in class wearing their pistols. I never asked her why the boys would need to wear pistols.

These trenches surround the property and there's one permanent bridge and we can erect a second one in about an hour with one person or less with additional crew. They're 6' deep and 8' across. THey are also for flood mitigation too though.

What a great group of real men. Thanks for all the great info. I got some great nuggets out of this and some even better takeaways. Looks like I've got some work to do. I live on 10 acres at the top of a hill, my property is fenced along the main dirt road and I can only see one neighbor's house other neighbors are about 100 acres away. Takes about 10 minutes of rugged dirt roads before you get to a paved road, there are two other ways to come up my hill but you better have 4-wheel drive and one of them you have to rock hop. So I can hear cars coming from any direction.

Mississippi grass shrimp in ponds with fertilizer and chara algae will producing thousands more lbs of production in aquaculture for those eating out of their ponds. Using a small pond as a backup culture of the shrimp is a good idea too. Old research for anyone interested could be cited.

The draw bridge is a fun idea but I like pressure switches. Wired up with noise makers and flood lights gives you early warning that you are not alone. Also one being none and two being one an expensive but helpful thing would be a wind or solar driven pump moving well water to a tower storage system gives you water and an elevated observation platform. Another thing is a simple bicycle for fast, quiet movement that saves your energy. Lastly get a drone for "fun" that will afford remote observation and scare tactics.
    Fun video! 😎

I'm I Mo just posted a interesting question i ponder. Smaller dogs but more or bigger few dogs.
MO has added water and you cantbeat lots of fish without restrictions. Our water is not good just look at Mo conservation booklets. Al the nasty crap in our fish.
Lots of game! Good climate and growing season.
      Good gun laws, homeschooling.
Like everything lots of pros and cons.

    • @spoperquimix1
      @spoperquimix1 10 місяців тому

IMHO your answer depends on budget. Bigger dogs are more expensive Veterinary wise, do not live as long, plus cost more to feed. Smaller dogs are opposite of that. From a self defense stand point no one is running from a Chihuahua, while anyone with a working brain cell will run from a Belgian Malinois. As a wise man said "Like everything, lot's of pro's and con's".@@nunyalastname-ej8vl

Damn it Billy!!! You are a General in Yah's military.. I am listening to Ep.26 PIMP cast. Early on in the episode I got a great picture of the tapestry of the Body of Christ while listening to you guys.. Before you ever said tapestry. I was amazed to see how each one of you guys who are reaching certain groups of people have a different perspective and it makes a whole picture when you see it all together. Many of you guys are Generals. You Better Not Quit. I just found y'all a few weeks ago and you guys have changed my life. Praise Yah!!! HalleluYah!!! Praise King Yeshua!!! You guys are amazing. Keep growing. Keep taking ground. After I listened to the episode with John my life changed radically. Then I listened to it again and realized I was doing what you guys were telling me to do. One day soon I will have a piece of land and I will need to get you guys to help me with it. Give me a basic plan of what to do with it and how to defend it. Love you guys. What an amazing family you are. Shalom.

I like survival videos of all kinds. This is the best I've seen. It covers the whole picture. Subbed.
Something I think is crucial but I never see (maybe that's why, it's there but invisible) is tower's and spider holes. You need a mini bunker, stash of weapons and ammo, small stash of food where you can see them from a great position to get them away from your central. Something within Walkie range.
If you needed to, you could leave central, watch for a few days, and reclaim your central at your leisure after you know the enemy details.
You guys are a great team! ❤

This video is great info! We incorporated our swales in our EA to disrupt AOAs and funnel COAs to specific areas that basically become large funnel kill zones. Using a ditch on contour that is 18" deep and 60 " wide and planted on the berm side naturally funnels activity into more open terrain that is easier to traverse alongside the swales. Once someone is in that zone they are sitting ducks!
