Finally, Sony gets me covered by this stereo. This stereo comes with HDMI Input so i can hook up an portable Blu-Ray player or add wireless mirroring even TV Tuner.
I'm seeing people complaining about wireless apple car play and android auto Through my personnel experience, your phone battery loses charge quicker on wireless Apple Carplay, so wired one the best option, i use wireless carplay on BMW and on other side keeping the phonecharging.
Yeah, when he said that at the end it left me wondering who did. Without showing us other head units that do all those features at the same price, otherwise it defeats his argument against the lack of those features.
I would’ve gone with this, but the lack of wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and no Maestro compatibility was a dealbreaker for me, so I went with the Pioneer DMH-W4660NEX instead. Shallow-chassis, capacitive touchscreen, HDMI port, Maestro compatibility, and WIRELESS CarPlay and AA capability! That unit was just so much better
The 1kHz @ 4 ohms, volume was set at 34 but the pre amps test the volume was set to max. Was this because the radio sends a clipped signal at 34 but unclipped to RCA? Thanks so much guys. Solid review.
Imagine hooking up a blue ray player via HDMI to watch a movie on a 400X800 screen in 2021. Come on Sony, you built the blue Ray player, now use a damn hd screen GODDAMNIT!!!.
Quality Mobile - I think you are being unrealistic on your expectations for a head unit priced at $500. If you want wired Apple Car Play or Android Auto you need to spend about $400 regardless. The Sony AX-5600 adds HDMI which is huge for video options. It also has 2 USB connections so you can add a music stick along with the Spotify option. Is it so hard to plug in your cell phone when you get into your car to activate this head unit? I own a 2018 Toyota Highlander which has a stock radio which only displays audio info. Other vehicle data is displayed on another screen by the speedometer. Don't need iDatalink Maestro to add this to my radio display. I guess an auxilary input would be nice but not a deal breaker. However I agree with the lack of a HD display which is my only gripe. However no other radios including Pioneer and Kenwood offer HD at this price. To add all of these missing items would push this unit to over $1,000 I believe. For $500 I feel this is an excellent unit with a 3 yr. warranty as well. If I am missing something here let me know. However a good review otherwise.
I have a 2021 Dodge Ram 1500 Bighorn. I found that when trying to hook the unit up, my back up camera and steering wheel controls no longer work. We were able to finally find another cable after searching for over a month that worked (another $145) but the steering wheel controls still do not work. Any idea how to get those to work?
I just bought this today I think it’s pretty decent . At first I bought a boss and the screen went blank. I took it back to car toys and got the Sony . Well I’m happy for 450$ I suppose
hello everybody. what can you recommend to buy same like 5600 (or 5650) but with good screen (hd or fullhd not resistive) and wireless android auto? and not 9500ES 😉 budget is 600-800 usd (now I have XSP-N1BT and I satisfied by almost everything but I would like to install backside camera) thx
@@gabrielgalaxyghwired also is more stable and sounds better. Even in a personal vehicle that has wireless and wired from the factory I always choose wired for that reason. So I don’t know why people complain about this unit not being wireless. They prefer poorer sound quality?
@@highmm2696 i bought a sony 5500 for now..but i would like wireless android auto..but those kenwood units seem overpriced..im debating on just waiting for newer models or what.
No you still can! So this is the kit you'll need to replace your factory headunit which comes with SWC harness: www.qualitymobilevideo.com/99-5841b.html

So which head units DO have all of those features at the $500 price point?
no One 🤣
Yeah, when he said that at the end it left me wondering who did. Without showing us other head units that do all those features at the same price, otherwise it defeats his argument against the lack of those features.
Boss Audio. 920wcpa. Slightly lower price. More features; wireless, two cameras, rca in..
but this Sony has the hdmi and xm .
Why do none of the Sony units have wireless Android Auto?! It's frustrating that in 2021 we still require tethered devices to use features.

no it’s not 🤣
Why is it not?
I think I have the old unit, but I can’t tell because this looks and operates the same.

💯 was about to ask some of the same questions, lol. About to be running over 5k withthis thing.
Audio quality is so good as per your test
Undecided. Overall seems good though, but the wireless CarPlay and android auto would make it much better like you said
Yea, it's a tough call for me personally. I use wireless AC everyday, it's totally worth it. Plus the cost is high for the missing essentials
Personally I say skip this and go with an android head unit of the same price.

We are trying to push the manufacturers, the Android units are starting to nip at the major manufacturers heals and they can no longer wait.
Had mine installed yesterday!
Nice! 👌
@@Qualitymobilevideo It wasn't until I dug into the equalizer and sound settings that I got the grin that I made a good purchase!! Sounds killer.
The screen killed it, coz someone has to use 10years old display supplies....
yep
It’s a car radio. Keep it simple. Screen res does not matter much. So long as is can see and read in all lighting conditions and angles.
@@billybobbarker3175 If I want just radio, I dont need display at all. If I want radio with big display apparently I care about that display ...
What double din head unit do you personally use?
What's the difference to the 8100?
#1 10 inch screen
which ones do you recommended?
Do you have to hit close every single time you start up your car?
It will disappear after 10 seconds.

So for a sub do you only plug in one of the rca?

Is it possible for them to update the firmware at some point and change the user interface?
Sony for the love of god put a 720p display.
For real!

stupid question: do the USB ports charge cellphones or are they just inputs?
They are both!
@@Qualitymobilevideo thanks so much
Can you search for music on the USB using voice control? 🤔
Does the 5v make a difference vs 4v from the 3250 model
It’s a lower noise floor, depends on length of run, types of RCA’s and amount of amplifiers.
Do you mind explaining the wired versus wireless Android auto for me? I'm not familiar with these new systems just yet.
With wired you you have to keep the cord plugged into your phone to use it. Wireless you don't

Velcro Strap - Everyone wants to know where the Velcro strap is, but no one ever asks the Velcro strap how its doing.
BAHAHA
What are the differences between the ax5600 and ax7000?
There may be other differences but the main ones are, HDMI on the 5600 (and 8100) and the 7000 has a more powerful built-in amp. Both are capacitive
Pretty much what he said. 5600 has hdmi and 55watt... 7000 has no hdmi but 100watt so the speakers will sound great
Thanks so much for this! Appreciate the pros and cons. Is there an Alpine model that is superior to this Sony 5600 at a similar price point?
Is this the same as the XAV-AX5650?
Can I reuse the wiring harness in my AX5000 with the new AX6000?

Is there a way to run 2 cameras with this unit? I spend a lot of time off-road and a front camera is very useful.
Yes, you can use our AVS210 or AVS 200 switcher

Maybe Kenwood DMX8020Dabs or Sony XAV-AX5650
You can't go wrong with either.
