My first attempt at a jumpsuit. I turned out great. I don't believe I would have been successful without your video. Thank you so much. I'm going to make another one. I really like my finished garment. Blessings to you! 🌹
Excellent instructions, thank you! I’ve been sewing for at least 6 months and this “beginner” pattern was harder than making a corset with boning... you made it so much easier, thanks again :)
Love this jump suit, so cute. Great zipper application. Thanks for showing the ‘fix’ for the V at the top of the zipper. This happens a lot in real sewing and well worth the effort to make a garment look outstanding. Great video! Thank you, thank you for the belt loop lesson...😎
Brittany, Your Jumpsuit looks fantastic!!!! I love the color and the linen fabric. I always appreciate it when you show the little hiccups. It is so helpful for everyone to see what happened & how you fixed the area above the zipper. Great Job!! Love to our Military family, Take care & God Bless All.
I ordered this pattern, last night, after coming across your pictures of you wearing it (looking amazing in an amazing looking jumpsuit!) on instagram. I've just watched this video to pre-prepare myself for its arrival! (I also watched your video opening the pattern and tools needed, etc). I'm sure I'll be back watching again when I have my pattern and am getting ready to begin! Thank you!!
Brittany, I bought this pattern this year. I didn't like how the pants looked on the pattern but they look totally different on you. After seeing the finished garment ...I absolutely love the look! You look beautiful in the red jumpsuit! I will definitely refer back to your channel when I begin sewing my make in spring 2022. Thanks.
Another GREAT tutorial! Thanks for the link to Erica Bunker's video! So much easier than the way that I was taught! The red looks fabulous on you. Really well done.
What a cute looking jumpsuit on you, Brittany! I love the style and color. It is surprising how ordinary the pattern cover picture looked. I didn't think twice about this pattern when I saw it in the latest Mccalls catalog. I am amazed at how cute this jumpsuit really is! This is a must-have. What a fresh summer look. Great tutorial. As always another winner. Happy sewing!
Love your videos. You may find it much easier/quicker to use a crochet hook to make the belt loop. I was glad to learn something new though, had never seen it done that way before.
You look great in that jump suit 😊 love the red linen ! Great tutorial ❣️ Just wanted to add...I ordered the pattern from mccalls and can't wait to make me one! 🥰🥰
You are so inspiring!! Looks great on you and makes me want to make mine now that I see it can work on someone with a little curve! I'm a beginner and your instruction makes me think this is actually doable!
Thank you so much for this video. I have lost half of instructions. It was a great help. I have managed to stitch one leg with a back seams. Unpicking afternoon I had 😅😅😅
I just found your channel and I think it will be a good fit. I need all the help sewing I can get. lol That said my machine of choice is my 1913 Singer treadle sewing machine. I call her Miss Singer. I also have a 1907 hand-crank model I call Miss Cranky, Miss Singer's older sister! Once my life stabilizes a bit I'm going to try and make this jumpsuit. It looks wonderful on you!
What a great video! It reminded me of sitting with my MIL, watching her sew. I learned a lot that way :-) I have a number of jumpsuit patterns and need to make some-you inspired me! The red linen looks terrific on you. Thanks for sharing from a new subscriber.
Brittany, I learn so much from you! I am an advanced beginner sewist, but still have so many questions. First, on a fabric like this, where the right and wrong sides are not so obvious, how do you know and keep track? Also, do you make a muslin of your projects? Fit is the biggest problem I am having (small shoulders, full bust, short waist) so I have decided until I get a better handle of those issues, I am gonna have to muslin...so much extra time (and cost of fabric, but I buy sheets at goodwill, etc). Thank you so much!
Hey Brittany - I want to tell you how awesome you are and I just love your videos. I found you through Mimi G’s channel and you totally stole me from her. Keep up the great work! Thank you so much for creating great content!
Thank you for this! I'm so glad you showed the zipper issue. That's the kind of thing that always gets me (a beginner+)...and then I toss out the whole garment b/c that zipper is "front and center," right?! That jumper is fantastic on you btw!!
Dee Gilbert hi. I have the Husqvarna Viking Epic 980q. It’s a lot of good brands available. Husqvarna Viking has great beginner machines, so does Brother, Singer, honestly I recommend thinking about what you want from a machine (sewing, embroidery) find your price range and start there. Also check out Sew it Academy they have a great beginner list of machines on their site!
The jumpsuit is really beautiful. I will appreciate if you can direct me to where I can get the patterns Thank you so much, your videos/tutorials is one of the best.
Hello Brittany. I love how the jumpsuit turned out and the video is great. I checked out the fabric where you purchased it at lafinchfabrics.com and noticed that the care instructions say to wash gentle and lay flat to dry. My question is with the laying flat to dry. I want to buy about 4 yards of this fabric but I'm wondering how did you dry your fabric? Did you lay it on the floor or is there some other way that I'm not aware of? Thanks you.
I really like how this turned out, I do have a couple questions, you didn't say how the crotch depth was, being that you are 5'4", did you have to adjust the depth? Also can you lengthen the sleeve? And where did you say you bought your linen fabric from, I really like what I've seen of the ones you have, I'm New to you posts and I really enjoy you and you are articulate and easy to hear and you explain really nicely!! In one of you videos you have shown a mustard linen? & and olive green one as well as this red, I like them all, what would you say the weight is..... sorry for all the?'s 🙋♀️🙄
I'm late to the party but I do have a questions LOL. I think my measurements are between the M and the L. How does the bust area fit with the 6in difference? That's similar to my situation. Did you have to make any adjustments to the bust?
would the finished product look good if the pockets and front or back were cut as one? have you ever used the serger threads to make belt loops? do they look as good ad the hand braided? do they last as long? the way you made the belt loops is essentially crocheting a chain without a hook.
EndlesslyHopeful Hi. It depends. I’ve come across maybe 3-4 patterns in all my sewing that I needed to have added an inch to the back curve but for the most part adjusting between the sizes is my everyday adjustment.
The jumpsuit is really beautiful. I will appreciate if you can direct me to where I can get the patterns Thank you so much, your videos/tutorials is one of the best.

You have the PRETTIEST shoes! The jumpsuit is lovely and you model it so well.
Joy Bernhardt thank you so much❤️❤️❤️
Super and clear....great flow. I loved how you fix 'glitches' because we all make them and you showed a good solution.
I love how you instruct-- I love your channel
Your video is fantastic. Love how you show the real part of sewing and how to fix common problems!! Thank you so much!!!
Oh yes.......looks gorgeous.
I really do like your teaching process.
🌹
Me too!

You rock that jumpsuit! You should teach sewing. Maybe at your church. You would be surprised how many people would love to learn to sew.

+1 I think that is essentially what's being done here: crocheting without a crochet hook?
Stunning jumpsuit! 👌 Thank you.
This turned out so cute! YAY! Love it.
Very beautiful, thank you for sharing the information about the zipper.
So cute, came out great, love the zipper adjustment tip

Stunning, this is a pattern I’d use at least a couple of times. I’ve seen thread loops, never knew the technique to making them...thanks.

Love it Brittany!! I totally passed this pattern by but I think I need it now 😁.
Awesome Brittany! I really don't like jumpsuits because of my curves and to much belly but I just might give this one a try.
Great video Brittany! And thanks for the link!
Erica Bunker hey Ms. E you’re welcome! Your video was amazing, you made it click for me❤️

This video is so helpful , thank you. One question though. When putting the zipper in, do the teeth go on the centre line marked on the pattern. Xx
The jumpsuit is really beautiful. I will appreciate if you can direct me to where I can get the patterns

Thanks I’m going to get this pattern. I try jumpsuits on in the store and they don’t fix right. I going to try sewing the the petite. I am 5’2.
Hi Brittany wanted to know if you increase the length of the jumpsuit? It’s said the total length is 54” but it measures as 58”
would the finished product look good if the pockets and front or back were cut as one?
have you ever used the serger threads to make belt loops? do they look as good ad the hand braided? do they last as long?
the way you made the belt loops is essentially crocheting a chain without a hook.
very cute. thanks.
beautiful!!!!
Beautiful
When you Serge your pieces before your sew do you use all four threads?
crimsondiva82 hi! Yes I do.
Oh 1 more 😏 did the zipper bulge out when you sit down?? Would you do buttons instead? Thanks
Hi Brittany! I know that you merge different sizes but I wonder if you have to adjust the crotch curve? Or does the pattern fit you as is?
EndlesslyHopeful Hi. It depends. I’ve come across maybe 3-4 patterns in all my sewing that I needed to have added an inch to the back curve but for the most part adjusting between the sizes is my everyday adjustment.
@@brittanyjjonestv Hi Brittany! Thank you for your reply. I find that I always have to add room to the seat area and cut between sizes. Weird right?!
Lady in red!!
Hi Brittany. I know this is old, but can you give me the name of the fabric store for this fabric? Thanks
How do u shop this patterns and other Mcall patterns.
I want it e-format. Thanks
Hey! McCalls has PDF patterns available for some of their pattern on their website.
❤❤❤
I think panic is my middle name.
Do wash your material before u sew
J Treadway hi! Yes I do. I like to rinse dyes out, shrinkage and germs.
@@brittanyjjonestv
Love your sewing alone. I stop for while.
Ready to start back sewing. Thanks!!
You should have verified the zipper before doing the understitching.
The jumpsuit is really beautiful. I will appreciate if you can direct me to where I can get the patterns
Thank you so much, your videos/tutorials is one of the best.
