    This is really cute. I would use this as a cover for the same size of a regular button to give it a stable structure to use on a coat or sweater. I plan on doing just that. I have not been able to find any buttons to place on a crochet sweater I just made, so I will use extra yarn from the sweater, make these as covers to slip over the size button I need, and VIOLA buttons that will MATCH the sweater! THANK YOU so much for making this video 6 1/2 yrs. ago!!

    I crochet different. I guess you could call it weird. I started knitting English style, which uses a different finger position, so this was what was natural for me when I taught myself to crochet.

    I like to use a bobby pin for my stitch markers, saved me from snipping lil strands and is pretty much no cost. Lol TY for the vid this is perfect for a bracelet I made my daughter

    got to be one of the most confusing magic circle instructions i've ever seen and reminds me why i never do magic circle. cute buttons though!

    • @misselanys1219
      @misselanys1219 2 роки тому

      The magic circle is a huge pain in the astribula but so worth learning. Having a hole or mis-shapen starting circle is so amateur looking. Please keep trying.

    If you put a shirt button inside you can use it for a button on sweaters.

    • @Marny5580

      you might need to sharpen your scissors - or buy a new scissors. ;-) I have tried breaking yarn, too - scissors are better. Johnny is strong, aside from talented.

    which knitting book did you did find this tutorial? your hands and fingers are doing some kind of weird tai chi crochet and I can't make out what the fuck you're doing.

    • @yarnistco
      @yarnistco  6 років тому +1

      It's just how I taught myself to crochet. My technique doesn't have much to do with the actual finished item, but there are plenty of other great crochet channels on UA-cam that you might enjoy more. :)

    Please put the end of the working yarn between your ring finger and pinky! Then it stays out of the way and you don't have to be constantly pulling it away from the tail. At least do it for videos because the way you let the working yarn get all mixed in with the tail or the project is annoying and a bad example for newbies.
