probably because you changed the capacitors around so rather than having two good ones on one side and two bad ones on the other channel you now have one good one and one half bad one on each channel. you should have checked the esr of the capacitors.
You look like a master. Can you just point me in the right direction? I have a Mark Levinson no.27 amp. When I turn it on I heard a strong pop on the right speaker and then the unit went into protection mode. Even time I turn it on after that the power switch would pop back to off with only the pwr cable plugged in. The power light still lights, fuse is good.
I have that same problem with my amplifier, somebody told the cause of that protection mode could be dust. What he you are doing to fix it is a bit too much for me. How about if I opened it and air blow the whole thing? Will that help?
