Best Tips For Heat Embossing

Have you learned how to heat emboss on your cards? This is such a neat way to add raised, glossy accents to your projects. Embossing is not difficult, but knowing a few helpful tips can really help to prevent frustration and be successful when embossing. Watch along for my best tips for embossing!
1. Use an embossing buddy
2. Use a stamping platform
3. Keep your Versamark pad well inked
4. Use a tray or coffee filter to catch powder
5. Flick the back of paper to remove excess powder
6. Use a paintbrush to remove excess powder
7. Hold paper with tweezers to protect fingers from heat
8. Use a silicone mat to protect work surface from heat

I have just started doing more heat embossing, my sons card I made him for Fathers Day, I heat embossed and he loved it , said it

Can I use leather with heat embossing?

Hi Nee, I've never tried it, but I would imagine it would work as long as the heat doesn't cause any problems for the leather.

That tray has too much static and has too much powder in there still. Coffee filter much better and very inexpensive. .
