Possibly the vuelta. In your calculations you bank on him loosing at every major challenge. With a red jersey on the line. And if he defends just properly 2 times of those 6 mountains that might just be enough. I believe only a Vingegaard or a Pogacar could bring this time in without a major problem. Roglic is more of a question in this regards.

@@andrehufschmid Well it's risky. But O'Connor also lost already more than a minute on stage 4, will lose a lot of time in time trials etc... And yes, he was fourth in the giro but 12 minutes away from Pogacar, more than two minutes behind Daniel Martinez. It's not like he performed anything crazy. Nothing he has shown yet seems to indicate that he will be able to compete with Roglic for three weeks. He could hang on to the jersey, even though it isn't really likely we never know, we know that leader's jersey helps guy dig way deeper than they would otherwise, he most likely just secured a good GC position with that stage. I think Bora was right not to care that much about him, it's more of a mistake coming from other GC teams like Movistar, Quick-Step or Bahrain to let a guy you gapped back into the race with that much of a head start. But saying the vuelta is over is kind of crazy to haha, it's still the first week and even though AG2R has a very decent team, it's gonna be a big task controling the race in some of the stages that are coming up. He might win and pull a Pereiro, he might finish podium, top 10 or he might just explode on any mountain stage. Let's just watch the race before calling it over, there's 14 stages left to fight.
