The Bible has always used the word "tongues" in place of languages. God confounded all of the tongues or languages after the tower of Babel and spread the people about. I have been taught that being given the gift to speak in different languages so that the gospel can be communicated to help others along in their salvation. The jibberish,, laughter, barking and rolling about done in these pagan churches has nothing to do with anything of God, but instead, more to do with demonic possession and/or fakery. Thank you so much for bringing awareness to this!
The new testament was originally written in Greek. In the Greek our English word " tongues" is singular not plural and means " another language" and " a language. So, for instance, when the believers in Acts ch.2 recieved the Holy Spirit it actually reads,"..and they began to speak in another language" and "..and they began to speak in a laguage". The examples you use such as believers barking like dogs, etc. are not then or have ever been the norm among those who speak in " tongues" and I believe you know that. Look at it this way, there are only three examples in scripture that tell us of believers recieving the Holy Spirit and what happened the moment thar they recieved, Acts ch.2,10, and ch.19. And the Word says that the first thing that happened was that they spoke in the one language that we call " tongues". Your disagreement isn't in opposition to anything but Gods' Word.
@Robert Nieten that may not be the "norm" in what you've experienced, but it absolutely is the "norm" among the pentecostal and New Age churches in my area and among what I have seen on mainstream television and social media sources.
@@hahna77 Thanks for your reply. It's the norm in most pentecostal churches. My church Is apostolic pentecostal. Unfortunately, the focus much of time is by people that don't understand what's happening in pentecostal churches focuses on the extreme disorderly expressions of joy and discount those expressions of joy that are the norm for those who have recieved the Holy Spirit.
*Ok, If Pentecostal Churches need to hear this? Why didn't Corinth need to hear this? No one ever stops to think about WHY PAUL wrote I Corinthians. He never once said that corinthians had a TONGUES or PROPHECY problem. NEVER. No, Corinth had a SPIRITUAL MATURITY problem. Not a TONGUES problem*
Been there. Feel for you. It can seriously damage one's soul to suck into this kind of pressure and judgment. IMHO, those folks are toxic, mislead, or truly in sin. Take your pick, but guard your mind and spirit from these individuals. Or you can battle them like I did in debate and slowly grew my own backbone, so to speak. It's not for everybody. ( My comment here is moreso for encouragement, not to tell you what to do. )
I came from that brand of church, their soteriology is so wrong, they believe baptism saves you and when you come out of the water you will speak in tongues, which was jibberish and NOT an actual language like in the bible. They also believe you can lose your salvation, but dont have a solid answer on how to get saved again. Thankfully the bible clearly spells it out that Yeshua saves us by faith in him alone.
@@MattH-nd9qk The Bible does give several warnings about backsliding. The OT, in the wilderness shows this too, that many dint make it to the promised land. There's a point of no return and once you get to that point, it is impossible to get back. I believe this is what many euphemise as losing your salvation. Either way you interpret it, the warnings are several, which is why we ought to take heed. Take for example in Hebrews 6: "...For it is impossible, in the case of those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, and have shared in the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the age to come, and then have fallen away, to restore them again to repentance, since they are crucifying once again the Son of God to their own harm and holding him up to contempt..." Likewise, Paul does warn in one of his letters to Timothy that there will be a falling away. This is what believers must guard from. Follow the crowd and church culture of today and you are doomed. Also, most people just want to be saved from the penalty of sin but Salvation is much more than that. It's not only about the forgiveness of sins; it goes on to being in and walking in holiness and righteousness (faith and action) and on that day we shall be away from the presence of sin, aka glorification, and be just like our Trailblazer. Titus writes that we belong to Jesus and as such saved, set apart, for good works. Again, follow the church culture of lukewarmness and you're trading on a dangerous path. As Paul writes, it is a race. You are responsible for getting to the finish line. Should you follow the casualness that's currently sweeping through the Body of Christ, which by the way, is alarming, there's a possibility of not making it to the finishing line. But we must, God said He will make sure of it (Ezekiel 36). But should you choose your own way, He hands you over (Romans 1). Don't you want to see the Lord? Because with out holiness one can't see the Lord. Let's all take heed to the warnings and quit debating about the validity, power and authority of the Scriptures. God's Word is very clear! "To him who by means of his power working in us is able to do so much more than we can ever ask for, or even think of: to God be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus for all time, forever and ever! Amen."
@@aliaschannel8877 great question! This channel is not Adventist. Adventists believe in the teachings of Ellen G. White along with the Bible. This channel only follows the Bible as the Word of God. Throughout the entire Bible, the day of rest and worship is listed by God and Jesus is the Sabbath, which is Saturday on our calendar. This is true even when Jesus discusses the end times (Matthew 24:20). So there are several non-Adventist churches that go to church on Saturday. This channel represents a Christian church that observes the Sabbath and Biblical Feast Days. My denomination is 7th Day BAPTIST (using caps for emphasis, not meant to yell😉), which is often confused for Adventists. We are basically Baptists who go to church on Saturday. Anyway, hope that helps!
@@priscillamacias-rosa3385 What about here is Asia where employers force workers to work six days a week? Is there not grace for those Christians to rest on Sunday, as the majority do.
@@aliaschannel8877 I'm sure there is Grace when you are in circumstances beyond your control. Even in the Old Testament when the Israelite were enslaved by the Egyptians (and were unable to worship on the Sabbath), God didn't condemn them for not following the Sabbath, instead he heard their cries and freed them. I'd say if someone is in that predicament and feels God has convicted them to celebrate on the Sabbath, pray that if it is God's will, He will find a way to do so for them. Until then, take a day for God when you can and/or try to do good on the Sabbath. This is the beauty of Jesus' grace for us because He knows our hearts and will advocate on our behalf.🥰
One of the important purposes of tongues or praying in the Spirit is in the believer's prayer life : as in Jude 20 to build faith; Ephesians 6:18 to fight the good fight (the 7th piece of armour); 1Corinthians 14:28b private prayer; 1Corinthians 14:4 it's understood that it edifies the one praying. It's wise not go beyond what the scripture says. Do your own research is a common phrase but it applies to us all who believe. We are exhorted to do just that. 2Timothy 2:15
Thank you for your comment, I just asked this question in my comment. I guess I should have read a little deeper in the comments. Maybe, for others who might have this question, you might reply to my comment. That way others months or years from now could learn too.

Yes, there’s the gift for speaking other languages. The tongue that must be interpreted is when spoken in public. But there’s the angelic tongue that is spoken between you and the Lord in private…the enemy does not understand the perfect prayer that Holy Spirit is speaking through you.

LEX, The word of GOD unravels so much, And his word makes it perfectly clear, Thanks "lex", And I am in agreement with the word, And the purpose of tongues, Thanks for Unraveling the lies.
Thank you for your explanation. I came to a similar conclusion, that tounges are actual languages and not gibberish (as I hear most people who claim to speak in tounges display).
*Based on what? Actually? You want to know what the earliest Extra-Biblical DIRECT explanation of tongues actually refers to tongues as being? Good because Im gonna tell ya anyway. 2nd Century between 140 & 160 A.D. a church member is writing to a Bishop named Philemon & asks Philemon 'I do not understand these 'Tongues?' Can you please explain?' You want to know what Philemon writes him back in Papyrus 87 which has only recently in the 20the century been translated? Here are Philemon's PRECISE & EXACT words in response VERBATIM - You ready? Sitting down? Ok. - 'Tongues are GIBBERISH which CANNOT be understood without DIVINE INTERPRETATION or REVELATION.' That is the EXACT word used in this translation - Tongues are GIBBERISH. In fact, some early texts reference 'Tongues' as Murmurings or Un-intelligible Utterances. Jesus in Mk 16:7 said the would be 'Unknown or UnKnowable Speech or Utterance.' You did not come to this conclusion. You watched several UA-cam channels like this one which simply repeated BAD DATA about TONGUES & you believed it because you WANTED to BELIEVE it based on your own 'FEELINGS.'*
When I was very little, I read the Bible myself with no idea about denominations and doctrines. I learned then that speaking in tongues means to speak different languages. The Bible is very clear and is easy to understand even by little ones if read and understood correctly through the power of the Holy Spirit. It is not biblical to say one should have certain experience to “prove” the faith. Faith is the substance of the thing hope for and the essence of the thing unseen. Faith only occurs in our minds, regardless if there is any external proves or evidence. If anyone asks for evidence of acceptance for the faith, it is no longer faith anymore, and without faith it is impossible to please God. Anything done without faith is a sin. To ask for the external validation is a sin of disbelief.
"God is not the author of chaos" So very well said Lex! The Pentecostal - Charismatic movement of the 80's and 90's almost destroyed my faith. Chaos rang supreme in those churches and I always felt like something there just wasn't quite right. I also felt that something was wrong with my faith because I could never speak in tongues. I could pray with the Spirit giving me every word to speak, but it was always in English. I finally learned that the problem wasn't me, although I'm far from perfect, but was bad teachings from bad pastors that are deceiving the masses and many are doing it intentionally. Overall, the Church in the US is broken and has fallen far from God. Pray for the Church worldwide but especially in the US because it has gone astray and it knows not.
@@YeshuasTrueWay Indeed! Speaking in tongues was very much needed in the early church for the only ones who knew the gospel were Hebrews. As time progressed and the good news was spreading like wildfire, it was being preached by people of many differing tongues. As the gospel was spreading the incidences of tongues were waining and by the time we reach Revelation tongues had almost disappeared. Can the Spirit give a tongue now? Certainly in the case of giving the gospel to those who could not understand your native language. Do tongues happen in pentacostal services? Yes, but after 30 years of attending those churches and see few real conversations I will testify that it's not the "Holy" Spirit giving them.

Thank u for the confirmation.. I just don’t feel like this thing that I’ve done is real because I can’t interpret n neither can anyone else.. I stopped it shortly after I started then tested it again and it just doesn’t seem right so thank you for confirming Amein
*The Gift of Tongues doesn't have squat to do with speaking to a foreigner. THIS did not come from Scripture or even early N.T. Church leaders. In fact? This CONCEPT does not appear for CENTURIES after Pentecost. NO ONE among the early Church thought 'Tongues' were an actual LANGUAGE or LANGUAGES.*
I am from a Pentecostal church but not originally, so the practice speaking in tongues was new to me when I joined. I experienced times when 12 to 15 were "speaking in their heavenly language" and I received a word which wasn't easy to deliver. Since then I practice tongues but I do it quietly. I find it opens my mind to the Holy Ghost and THAT is what I was taught about the difference between "speaking in that heavenly language" and speaking in foreign tongues by my leadership: It's for edification of the "self". It's a direct communication from your spirit to the Holy Ghost. I can attest to this latter practice and tell you through experience that it's true; quietly speaking in a language that naturally flows from your lips when praying is akin to meditating. It really should only be practiced by someone who has a mind full of the knowledge of the word because otherwise it turns into a weird "mimicking" experience rather than a genuine experience from the Holy Spirit. I have noticed pressure from the leadership at times where they have put people on the spot during a service to speak in tongues in front of everyone and they couldn't do it. It happened to me once where a group of people surrounded me early on in my experience with the Penecostal church and actually had a microphone in my face waiting for me to speak in my heavenly language. But I'm going to stop right now and I want you to know some thing: my leader ship may not have this exactly right, speaking in tongues that is. It was explained to me by a dear brother who recently died that it's "an action that you take which demonstrates to God that you are serious in wanting to communicate with him. It's something that you do to show God that you're serious about worshipping him". My leaders are genuinely filled with the Holy Spirit and maybe a gentle nudge and course correction is needed. don't toss out the baby with the bathwater though; we are an eager people who desire to do what's right. We preach the gospel ...that is the resurrection of the dead and those who make Christ their savior AND Lord will be saved from eternal death. At least that's what I believe. ❤️
What you are speaking of is Kundalini or Kabbalah, not Christianity. You have bought into a lie. You need to repent and pray about this and free yourself from the invading spirits of untruth and confusion.
@Looseel Scott yeah, I bet you think barking, so called "holy laughter" and flopping on the floor like a fish with your eyes rolling back in your head is all "of God" too, right?
@@hahna77 do you find your words loving or judgmental? Do you think it is wise to jump to rash conclusions? I would encourage you to be wise with your words and love with your heart. @Josh Gellock I find my words to be honest. I have family that attends these types of churches and I have also seen many videos on these false Christian sects, that have lead so many astray. I was once a follower of several pagan religions, as well as pagan versions of Christianity before Jesus was so merciful to come to me personally with a message and save me from my destructive lifestyle and wrong-think. He has guided me over the years and lead me away from my worldly ways and given me eyes to see and ears to hear. It pains me deeply to see others still fooled by all of these false beliefs, so it is my life goal to try and spread truth to all that will hear and hopefully lead them to our Saviour and His Word, and away from what the world has taught them in replacement. I agree, I don't always say things the right way or in the most kind way, but my intentions are always out of love. I hope you'll except my apology for this, but I also hope you will consider what I've said, and go to God with it. If you sincerely repent and ask for His guidance, He will not allow you to be lead astray.
I believe theres difference between tounges for personal edification / praying in The Spirit And tounges to preach the gospel to ppl speaking in a foreign tounge Praying in The Spirit sounds like something all should be having since its Gods language for personal edification
Thank you for this. I feel so much pressure and wonder why I have never spoke in tongues but I promised God, I will never fake anything whether it’s tongues or prophecy. If it doesn’t come from the Holy Spirit than it isn’t truth! Which also makes me question others a lot, I want to believe because I truly do know that the Holy Spirit does give these gifts but many of the people claiming they have these gifts are the same ones who are casting judgement over others for not having them which makes me think would the Holy Spirit be working through them in this way knowing they are judging others like this and making them feel like they are not close enough to the Lord. We are to humble ourselves and often those people don’t seem very humble. This video has helped me. Thank you
*No one is casting judgement over anyone for not speaking in tongues but thats what you're doing in saying that. You're trying to cast judgement on those who do because you DO NOT. Do you know how the Bible defines HUMILITY? Humility within the Biblical Context is 'WALKING with TRUTH' or 'AGREEING with GOD.' What did Jesus spend His last night on earth with his disciples talking about?*
Yes the Bible says to remain silent if there is not an interpreter it is still a gift given to that person and a communication to God through the spirit
@@patriciaorozco9046 exactly so if tongues aren’t being spoken, then what are we to be silent about if there’s not an interpreter? The point is tongues are being spoken if not, there would be no need for an interpreter. I think they’re missing it.
It's obvious that we all have different spiritual gifts. I've had visions since I was young and I have strong discernment while my wife has incredibly powerful discernment. The last leadership we were under was mixing Hebrew Roots with Pentecostal. The pastor was trying to force my wife to speak in tongues along with various other things that weren't biblically sound so we left that church, amen.
Thank you for your very thorough and truth-filled videos. I wanted to say that I do believe there IS a difference between our Holy Spirit prayer language (tongues) and the gift of tongues (as you’ve referenced in 1 Cor 12) which involves the ability to speak many foreign languages, previously unknown. I believe we are all given an opportunity to receive the gift of a Holy Spirit prayer language which helps build ourselves up (Jude 1:20 “But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit” / 1 Cor 14:4 “He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church.”) I absolutely do NOT believe that you must exhibit tongues to prove your Salvation- I don’t believe it’s a measure of righteousness, but rather an available gift to ALL, something we should desire as we get closer to God. It’s evident there is a “distribution of gifts” written about in 1 Cor 12, but this seems to be referencing a special gift of “divers kinds of tongues”, as one translations states. Of course, always aiming and willing to hear/learn more as we dig through the Word together! Thanks again for your great content, I’ve been truly appreciating it, so far.
Thank you for this comment and the scriptures! I speak in tongues only as I have utterances during prayer. There is obviously a purpose and a reason the Holy Spirit gives me the utterance and I know it is because I don’t know how I should pray as I ought, so I am truly thankful for this gift! ❤️🙏🏻
Yes I agree with you completely there is a difference between tongues as speaking another language and a Holy Spirit prayer language. I wish he would have spoke about this. I came from Pentecostal background and I don’t believe what they said about tongues but don’t throw the baby out with the bath water either.
You are correct, and the way you shared your thoughts is beautiful. I usually jump straight to the point and could benefit from having more tact and grace as you have shown. God help us all.
*The Gift of Tongues is NOT the 'ABILITY' to speak Foreign Languages. It NEVER was. There isn't a SINGLE SUPERNATURAL GIFT of the SPIRIT that can be REPLACED with a NATURAL MEANS. Tongues having passed away because the world has changed & we don't need 'Tongues' to communicate the way we did 2,000 years ago. THERE IS NOT A SINGLE GIFT of the SPIRIT that can BE REPLACED by NATURAL MEANS. If just 1 GIFT of the Spirit can be usurped by NATURAL MEANS? ALL 9 GIFTS become a FRAUD.*
There are tongues which are exclusively for prayer ( personal edification & available to all believers)and tongues which are a prophetic message ( given only to some)which must be supernaturally interpreted so that a congregation may be editfied

Doesn't it mean If I can speek to a Greek in his own language yet I have never taken a Lesson on how to speak Greek , isnt it the same for any language, I agree with what you are saying ,
I have long held the same belief that if there isn’t an interpreter then that person is only edifying themselves and being selfish and making a fool of themselves. That is not the way God intended. There must be someone that understands what that person is saying or it is just gibberish.
When I pointed out these things to my friends, they claimed that their churches do have an interpreter. I could not get across to them that you can’t tell if it’s an authentic interpretation. Therefore, how do you know the person is not just making it up as they go along. Even if they are sincere, in their belief that the word is from God? They said these people are approved by the elders and pastors to do interpretation. How would you answer this assertion ?
Surely those receiving this type of gift would also be the type not to brag about it to others, so its unlikely they are well known to most or that they would even likey tell others anything of it.
@northernpike56 well they deleted my comment and all the links, just as I expected. Just type in pastors experiencing glossolalia into your google search bar and you'll get some results.
Can you elaborate on having a "prayer language"? Many say it is speaking in tongues but its not any earthly language at all like the Gift of Tongues is
No, it isn't. Because not all have the gift of speaking in tongues. With conversion every believer is baptized in the same Spirit and that's when the Holy Spirit indwells the believer. Not at any later point.
In the Slavic church I visited (there are many old Slavic grandmas at least 3) that claimed to speak as prophets and during church service they would start to babble something to then “translate” it themselves and continue on Untill they are done.. doesn’t seem right. To add not detail the whole church would be quite and listen and then when the prophet would be done speaking the whole church would pray and pray in tongues.

Thank you for this video/teaching brother Lex. So what exactly does speaking in tongues sound like? I’ve come across and have been exposed to so many doctrines that oppose one and another ironically … people trying to teach people to speak in tongues, having them just mumble away. And It just never sat right with my spirit because it was a room of people speaking in “tongues” not even understanding not even a fraction of what’s being said.
There is a difference of tongues. One is to built up the person's spirit. Another to built up the people , who hear the tongue. The first one comes mostly, when you get the holy spirit. This is, what I've learned the last two weeks through watching videos like this. The other one comes after time (or not - depends, which gift you've got). This is my experience. I watched a video of kathryn krick and after the second video I suddenly spoke in tongues. I can't remember, if I asked for it, I just repeated some words, she was spoken while the deliverence-video. (I'm a german, by the way. I had to search a lot of unknown words to really understand, what was going on.) After she started to speak a few words in tongues I opened my mouth and there came something, I had no control over it. First a little syllables. Sounded and still sounds like nonsense. But later it came more fluently and suddenly I spoke so fast, I couldn't believe myself. But at the same time, something/somebody raised my hands in the air while I was speaking in this tongue. And suddenly I had to cry so much and after that my hands went down and gave me a hug and so I instantly knew, Jesus tried to show me, that he really loves me. After this, the tongue sounded harder, it seemed to me, that the spirit prayed further for me and the deliverence. "Somebody" used my hands in the same way, the apostle krick did in the video to cast out the demons. Not a big move, but I felt, this someone did something big for me, although I didn't reallly realize, what. 😅 Now after almost two weeks I experienced, while I was praying in tonges, suddenly another sound came slowly through. Finally it sounds to me like an asian language. Really amazing for me, too. Now I would like to figure out, what language it is and what the holy spirit wanted to say... I hope, he sends me to the right people, to find it out soon. Thank you so much, Jesus. By the way - after this experience, I wanted to find out more about Jesus and tongues and stumbled over a teaching of Derek Prince and he told a similar experience with his hands and the start of tongues. I'm so thankful, god leads me to the right informations to learn more and more about god's love and his wonders. You can also search for Daniel Adams. He is a very anointed vessel, too.
I have a question, please. Can we still pray in tongues? I was raised that it is just a part of my prayer time (maybe not every time). Is this false? I was taught that by praying in tongues, I was praying the perfect will of God into a situation I had little knowledge of or knew God's will for that situation.
"This sign shall follow those who believe.." does not speak to the person who preaches the gospel, it talks about what happen to those who hear their message and believe.
it clearly states to SOME the ift of tongues. It doesnt say everyone receives it. And as mentioned, why babble in other tongues if it serves no purpose? Then you can just as well speak in your own language
Greetings brother Lex, I believe in my body's structure there's a combination of genes that are there because of my ancestors. My blood line goes back to the Roman empire and the language that I learn from my parents is about 55% Latin, 20% Slavic, the other 25% German, and Turkish and other Semitic languages. I'm fluent in a few languages but when I pray or read the bible I read and pray in languages of my mother tongue or the language that I feel more comfortable understanding the Word of God. And these languages are proper languages understood by people of those nations ( the accent differs) but it can be interpreted by any person who hears that uttered. By God's Grace I can understand your language and it's not my mother tongue.
Is praying in tongues different or the same as speaking in tongues? is speaking in tongues temporary until the written Word of God is complete? when and why do tongues cease?
*Tongues & prophecy & knowledge & wisdom ALL ceast at the same time 'WHEN THAT WHICH is PERFECT has COME' Paul to the great dismay of many explains what 'That which is PERFECT COMES' means. So is grace Titus 2:11-12. for grace is the ability we receive to keep the commands (be righteous). You misinterpret Pauls letters. there were people those days like essenes who wanted to get saved by law obedience, and they influenced new believers who started learning about the law and obeying it through faith. Rom 2:13 paul says not the hearers of the law are just in the sight of YAHUAH, but the DOERS of the law will be justified. rom 3:31 he says we ESTABLISH the law through faith. Paul kept the law and preached the same message in all the churches 1Cor 4:17, also see 1Cor 11:1
@Mr K Wants Bible the fact is, the bible teach law obedience is part of salvation. Thats what YAHUAH taught, thats what messiah taught and so did his disciples. IF YOU CAN ONLY MISQUOTE PAUL, YOU NEED TO RETHINK YOUR BELIEFS SINCE IT IS NOT IN LINE WITH 98% OF THE BIBLE
@Mr K Wants Bible SO, feel free to mention verses from any other bible books besides Pauls, as proof for your beliefs, see if you can find anything in the rest of the bible.
Hi! This verse about mixed fabrics is often poorly translated.. it's not all mixed fabrics but only wool and linen (which, to be honest, I haven't encountered really often, if at all..) Leviticus 19:19 "[...]neither shall a garment mingled of ➡️linen and ➡️woollen come upon thee." Deuteronomy 22:11 "Thou shalt not wear a garment of divers sorts, as of ➡️woollen and ➡️linen together." The KJV translation of Deuteronomy might sow doubt because of the comma and "divers sort", but when reading other translations, we see that it really means just woollen and linen ➡️NASB "You shall not wear a material mixed of wool and linen together."
@@Haggai2.9 we are ALL Israelites if we are redeemed by Yeshua, there aren't two sets of rules for two different people, never were, never will! ➡️ Exodus 12:49; Leviticus 24:22; Romans 11:17-21; Ephesians 2:11-12
@@psalm1047 I reckon you mean interpretation of the text because I believe it is correctly translated: " do not wear cloth made by weaving wool and cotton together." Deuteronomy 22:11. That's pretty clear. Yes, that was the law. But we are not under the Mosaic Law. However, there's a principle derived from this the Body of Christ can and should adapt. The principle is that when serving God Most High, do not mix 2 different things, e.g one foot in the world and one foot in service for God. While wool is a type of human effort, linen is a type of spiritual purity. So there's a need to always examine ourselves whether we are sowing with mixed seeds. Is it the rightenous acts of Jesus Christ or own fleshly nature. Ultimately the blessing of God will not remain on that which is impure. Sowing with mixed seed will yield a harvest that God does not accept as holy. May the Lord continue to guide and help us open the Scriptures for us.

What about praying in tongues at home in your prayer closet called the “prayer language”? Is this false is it from God? I never know what I’m saying. I was told it’s my spirit praying for me to God because I do not know what I’m in need of. When I have no words I pray in tongues. I feel it bubble up and I give in to it.
Lex explain 1 Corinthians 14:14 and 14:18. If you’re going to talk about tongues talk about all the scriptures not just the ones you pick out to support your argument
Verses 15 and 16 give clarity to verse 14. But Notice he says "my spirit" not "The Spirit" prays. He says his understanding isn't fruitful if he prays in another language because he doesn't know what he is saying. So his solution is why not pray with his spirit and understanding also? If there's confusion about "spirit" see what Mary said Luke 1:46 And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, 47 And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.
Why didn't you mention 1 Corinthians 14:1-5? He who speaks in unknown tongue edifies himself. He who speaks in unknown tongue, speak s unto God! How be it he speaks mysteries hallelujah. 1 Corinthians 14:14,15 if I pray in tongues my understanding is unfruitful, My spirit prays. :15 What is it then? I will pray with the Spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also, I will sing in the Spirit and sing with my understanding also. When you teach a biblical subject, please include all the verses, especially in 1 Corinthians 14.
What I don't get is why would someone be given the gift of tongues back in bible times, and there needed to be an interpreter? what would the purpose be to be given the gift of tongues if there was no one that spoke the language to begin with? an example, you'd be in an English speaking church and all of the sudden someone would be filled with the Holy Spirit and start speaking Russian? why?
Who says the gift of tongues was ever given before the tower of babel and confounding of the languages? I'm fairly certain all the verses on the gift of tongues are given after this.
The speaker begins his study saying that the purpose of speaking in "tongues" is not to prove that we have the Holy Spirit. There are only three instances in the scriptures that tell us of believers recieving the Holy Spirit and what occured the moment that they recieved.( Acts ch 2, 10, and ch.19). In each instance the first thing they did was speak in " tongues". According to the biblical Law of Repetition the Word commonly will repeat something said or an occurrence three times in order to direct our attention to an important spiritual truth. Now the question that those reading this comment is, does God see these three examples as sufficient proof to believers that they should expect to speak in " tongues" to confirm that they have recieved the Holy Spirit ?
I don't see why "speaking in tongues" couldn't just mean fluently speaking another language. The interpretation, in this case, obviously being translation for those who do not speak the language. From the text alone I see no reason to assume "speaking in tongues" means anything except the speaking of another language.
what is then the purpose of speaking another language to God in order to strengthen me personally? Why is Word saying that? Has no sense right.. so obviously thats more than just a language
While all you have said is correct, any one exercised in this gift will readily testify to the benefits that arise from speaking in the spirit...viz personal spiritual edification and a point of ignition resulting in greater levels of the corporate presence of the Holy Spirit and as the faith of Christ saturates a gathering other gifts are manifest with less hindrance. Many highly rational and intellectualized saints may find it a bit of a leap into the unknown but Christ is always glorified when people overcome such fears (not the receiver of the gift as it is a rather humbling endeavor at the best of times.)
Could "Speaking in tongues" mean simply learning another language? I too hear gibberish anytime I hear someone speaking in tongues. There was never an enterpreter and it was like 3 or 4 people shouting in Native American tongue or something. I come from a Pentecostal upbringing. I've been seriously studying the word and found the holy spirit in the past year and a half. Sorry if this is an obvious answer. Thanks!
Great teaching, but can I add that “unknown” tongues are different from “other” tongues. Paul says if I speak in an unknown tongue, I edify myself and speak unto God. And so if I’m at church and not being disruptive, I can speak in an unknown tongue to edify myself, my neighbor can do the same, and if all who have the ability to speak in unknown tongues are edifying themselves to strengthen themselves spiritually, it creates an atmosphere where miracles and deliverance can take place. Edifying oneself will increase one’s faith, if many in the room are edifying themselves at the same time, it allows supernatural activity to happen. Remember Yeshua said once when he was in a place that he could not perform miracles for their lack of faith. I do not believe speaking in tongues is the only evidence of having been baptized by the Holy Spirit, BUT I have learned the benefits of praying in the Spirit, allowing myself to be edified. Just like I have freedom to yell out “hallelujah” in the middle of service, I have the freedom to yell out an unknown tongue. Neither instance would need interpretation. Hallelujah might be understood, but you would have no idea of what I was shouting hallelujah about. An unknown tongue CANNOT be interpreted, only “other” tongues can be interpreted. There’s a difference.
thanks for the comment sister.. i mean i am not sure about unknown tongue cant be interpreted.. i mean if Holy Spirit gives the words.. and about other tongues do u mean the other foreign languages?
Yet Paul said, "I speak in tongues more than you all" and forbid not to speak with tongues. You are confused about tongues, which are the tongues of angels (prayer language) Groanings that cannot be uttered, and what should go on in the church. Two different things!
We are all the same in regards to our humanity, what we look like is irrelevant. The only person a believer cannot marry is a non believer. Yahweh obviously loves variety. I think we are all beautiful in our own special way.
@@oleksandrhafurov3246 I am surprised I received this comment, No longer subbed to this. I am subbed to a wonderful channel, but won't be on UA-cam much longer. It is only about the bible. And the truth of the Old and New Testament
"And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.... because... every man heard them speak in his own language. And they were all amazed and marvelled...." Acts 2:4 +6,7. So with true "tongues" there is no need for an interpreter everyone hears you in their own language. Interpreters involved in other tongues is just like normal communications between two (or more) people who don't know each other's language and need an interpreter. True tongues is meant for the end time Christian witness -"...when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye; for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost." Mark 13:11. - And, everyone one will hear it in their own tongue... So it is.... End Time Witness.
Thanks for your attempt to explain the purpose of tongues but I have to point out some errors. Starting with the last thing you said here, no, tongues are not only given for the purpose of ministry. This negates what Christ said that it is a sign that will follow all who believe, not only those who are sent into ministry work. Paul also emphasized that speaking in tongues is only fruitless in a public setting if it is not supported by an interpretation of the tongues. He went on to explain that the person should instead speak to himself and to God in tongues. This means that you can and should speak tongues to refresh/edify/build up yourself and to communicate more effectively with God in prayer or worship. Jude v20 essential says this, and it wasn't addressed to ministers only. Let's not veer to the other extreme of restricting what Christ Himself had instructed all believers to practice. There has been some misuse, yes, and that needs to be corrected, but we should encourage all to speak in tongues for their own personal blessing and spiritual growth in prayer and worship. Let me also state that the manifestation of the gift of tongues appeared each time a group of people came to salvation in the book of Acts. They were almost all lay people and the Bible never records they had interpretations only that each one glorified God in new tongues. When Paul asked the rhetorical question of if all spoke in tongues he was referring to the public ministry usage of the gift. Else it would have been a major contradiction to himself when he later said he'd like for everyone to speak in tongues and to Christ who said all who believed would speak in new tongues. It was asked within the context of ministry gifts including word of knowledge, prophecy, healing, etc which you'll notice are not for personal application. There is a public ministry application of tongues if it is backed with an interpretation - in which case it becomes equivalent to the gift of prophecy - 1 Corinthians 14:1-5. Other than that it is for personal ministry to self and to God. Remember we are all called to be priests to God - Revelation 1:6, and are to partake in God's mission of reconciliation - 2 Corinthians 5:18? Well Jesus said we should only do that when we are baptized with the power of the Holy Spirit - Acts 1:4, 8. Every Christian should seek to manifest the gift speaking in tongues because: - Christ our Lord said we would - Mark 16:17 - Paul encouraged us to do so - 1 Corinthians 14:5, 39 - The early Christians did - Acts 2:11, Acts 10:46, Acts 19:6 - We need it for deeper levels of prayer and worship - 1 Corinthians 14:2,14, 16-17 Ephesians 6:18, - It is evidence of God's seal over the believer which is the Holy Spirit - Acts 2:38-39, Acts 10:47, Ephesians 1:13 Don't get discouraged by the confusion over this matter, even the early church struggled with getting it right. The above points should help our appropriation and application of this very important spiritual gift.
Five Different Uses of Tongues 1) Personal prayer language (prayer/worship/edification) 2) Intercessory prayer language (Spirit intercedes) 3) A prophetic message for a congregation (the Gift) 4) Singing in the Spirit (worship manifestation) 5) Evangelistic language (like at Pentecost)
The gift of tongues benefits the person speaking in tongues although they may not know and they do not know what they are saying it is a benefit for the Holy Spirit to communicate with God through them their Spirit United with his it benefits the perfect person that is gifted with the tongues
Yes 🙌🏼 1 Corinthians 14:2 For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries. 1 Corinthians 14:3 But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort. 1 Corinthians 14:4 He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church. 1 Corinthians 14:18 I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all: 1 Corinthians 14:19 Yet in the church I had rather speak five words with my understanding, that by my voice I might teach others also, than ten thousand words in an unknown tongue.
Speaking in an unknown tongue (language) to a church who doesn’t understand you does only edify yourself because the church doesn’t understand you. How will the congregation say “amen” if they do not understand? You’d be speaking to God only for no man understands you. Howbeit you’d be speaking in mysteries
It’s an attribute of the Holy Spirit. No man made explanation needed. Paul laid hands and men spoke in tongues. The Holy Spirit speaks in a heavenly language. Done. Believe the word or believe doctrines of man.
@@notwhoyouare1543 I think a lot of doctrines get carried away with perspective. One man believe this another that… and they hold onto them pridefully instead of fully believing the word and all things on it… and never put God in a box. We can never understand all of God fully.
The book of Acts is how the Apostles carried out what Jesus said to do. Acts 10:44-48. Speaking in tongues is a sign that one had been filled with the Holy Ghost vs. 46, For they heard them speak with tongues and magnify GOD. I usually agree with you. Speaking in tongues is also for prayer. Jude 20. Most christians won't even bother to get baptized in Jesus Christ holy name. Please get all you can from GOD. WE ARE GOING TO NEED IT❤
While Saul/Paul had barely finished killing believers Peter was teaching jew and gentile alike about salvation in Jesus Christ mighty name and speaking in tongues as a sign of the fullness of the Holy Ghost.
You strayed a little in your explanation. Speaking in tongues need interpretation. But praying in tongues is for an individuals edification, s/he is speaking to God and not the church. Paul says i pray in tongues more than you all
The Bible has always used the word "tongues" in place of languages.

Take for example in Hebrews 6:
"...For it is impossible, in the case of those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, and have shared in the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the age to come, and then have fallen away, to restore them again to repentance, since they are crucifying once again the Son of God to their own harm and holding him up to contempt..."
Likewise, Paul does warn in one of his letters to Timothy that there will be a falling away.
Amen."
You nailed it!

Just to hear the word "purpose" is refreshing but then to hear a purpose that is actually given in Scripture and not just someone's feelings.
What made these works DISTINCT from the Gift of Healing? What about Miracles? What about Knowledge? Wisdom??? Why do we see the SAME OPERATIONS & FUNCTIONS occurring WITHIN the GIFTS of the Spirit also present OUTSIDE of the GIFTS of the SPIRIT? What makes their FUNCTION within the GIFTS of the Spirit DISTINCT?*
Thank you so much!
Love to you again Lex. Love this information on tongues. Clarification on very important topics are needed for sure. Thanks for helping me UNLEARN the false things I have accepted in the past.
Perfectly said, we are not YESHUA alone as HE is. We are the Body of Christ and the body has parts and different gifts go to different parts and persons. The LORD YESHUA HAD ALL THIS BY THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
Thank u for the confirmation.. I have a sibling who is always urging me to speak in tongues n pray in the spirit.. tho I have done it before I just don’t feel right unless I were given the gift upon speaking to a foreigner.. I just don’t feel like this thing that I’ve done is real because I can’t interpret n neither can anyone else.. I stopped it shortly after I started then tested it again and it just doesn’t seem right so thank you for confirming Amein
*Don't 'FEEL' right huh? Well, as long as your 'FEELINGS' are all that matters.* ) -
*The Gift of Tongues doesn't have squat to do with speaking to a foreigner. THIS did not come from Scripture or even early N.T. Church leaders. In fact? This CONCEPT does not appear for CENTURIES after Pentecost. NO ONE among the early Church thought 'Tongues' were an actual LANGUAGE or LANGUAGES.*
Thank you🙌🙌
This I agree with.

Ty sir
WORD this message is biblical and timely. Thanks Lex
Amen & Amen
I really appreciate your continued exploration on this topic. Good work, it's very informative and edifying.
YAH bless brother
Very timely
I am from a Pentecostal church but not originally, so the practice speaking in tongues was new to me when I joined. I experienced times when 12 to 15 were "speaking in their heavenly language" and I received a word which wasn't easy to deliver. Since then I practice tongues but I do it quietly. I find it opens my mind to the Holy Ghost and THAT is what I was taught about the difference between "speaking in that heavenly language" and speaking in foreign tongues by my leadership:
It's for edification of the "self".
It was explained to me by a dear brother who recently died that it's
"an action that you take which demonstrates to God that you are serious in wanting to communicate with him.
@@hahna77 I know enough to know that we have nothing to do with Kundalini or Kabbalahism. Thank you for your advice.
Asking questions is a good thing and dialog with others is not a bad thing - however, to jump to a conclusion, and condemning someone - you should be very careful.
TRUTH!!!
Explained plainly and clearly thank u
SPOT ON THANK YOU
I believe theres difference between tounges for personal edification / praying in The Spirit
And tounges to preach the gospel to ppl speaking in a foreign tounge
Praying in The Spirit sounds like something all should be having since its Gods language for personal edification
So perfectly articulated thank you so much for what you’re doing I love this! now I have a channel that I can share with friends!!!!
Thank you
Thank the Lord for working through you so I can receive this message
Ahmein! No one OWNS the gifts! Everything has a REASON for the father... even if we don't understand! NEVER question your father!
I believe we are all given an opportunity to receive the gift of a Holy Spirit prayer language which helps build ourselves up (Jude 1:20 “But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit” / 1 Cor 14:4 “He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church.”)
I absolutely do NOT believe that you must exhibit tongues to prove your Salvation- I don’t believe it’s a measure of righteousness, but rather an available gift to ALL, something we should desire as we get closer to God.
That before anything else is PROOF that those that refer to 1. Tongues as the Ability to Speak Languages & 2.
Very well explained sir.Thank u.
There are tongues which are exclusively for prayer ( personal edification & available to all believers)and tongues which are a prophetic message ( given only to some)which must be supernaturally interpreted so that a congregation may be editfied
THANKYOU!!!! I used to attend a Pentecostal place of worship until the pastors wife told me that before I left service that day that is be speaking in tongues. She the processes to touch my forehead and I wouldn't let her, thinking on no the neck I wont.!! Jesus said don't stand around and babble like the Pharisees do!!
This was explained perfectly, correct 👏. God bless you.
1Cor.14.15 - What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.
1Cor.14.18 - I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all:
How can you explain this
Doesn't it mean If I can speek to a Greek in his own language yet I have never taken a Lesson on how to speak Greek , isnt it the same for any language, I agree with what you are saying ,
One more thing, just found you channel and subscribed to it.
I have long held the same belief that if there isn’t an interpreter then that person is only edifying themselves and being selfish and making a fool of themselves. That is not the way God intended. There must be someone that understands what that person is saying or it is just gibberish.
Love the short videos 20min or less.
Great message Lex! What are your thoughts on the Azuza Street 'Revival'?
Do you have any thoughts on this revival?
Excellent video! He Hit all the scriptures and key notes. Speaking in tounges is just Speaking a understood language!
False, that’s not what scripture says.
'Speaking in tounges is just Speaking a understood language!' *Then how could it be a Gift of the Spirit idiot?*
🔥
Do you know "one" who has been given the gift to speak in tongues and "one" who can interpret that person speaking tongues?
Surely those receiving this type of gift would also be the type not to brag about it to others, so its unlikely they are well known to most or that they would even likey tell others anything of it.
@@hahna77 I've never heard of anyone with either of the gifts in post biblical times... Anybody?
@northernpike56 I suppose that I'm not sure what it is that you are actually saying, but I still stand by my original comment.
@@hahna77 I'm asking if anyone, anyone can cite one instance that speaking in tongues is real and documented . Post biblical of course.

Can you elaborate on having a "prayer language"? Many say it is speaking in tongues but its not any earthly language at all like the Gift of Tongues is
It is the evidence of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.
Paul said "forbid not to speak in tongues for I speak more than you all".
The beast wound is healing and even now we are in the beginning of sorrows when the man of sin persecutes you because you do not abide by there immorality do not fear the great and mighty and holy one will bring you back up
When praying to god and a person cant understand what there saying is that angelic toungs or just speaking in toungs?
Now after almost two weeks I experienced, while I was praying in tonges, suddenly another sound came slowly through.
So the gift of tongues cease
Speaking in tongue = Speaking in a different language.
Simple!
👍
Is praying in tongues different or the same as speaking in tongues? is speaking in tongues temporary until the written Word of God is complete? when and why do tongues cease?
*Tongues & prophecy & knowledge & wisdom ALL ceast at the same time 'WHEN THAT WHICH is PERFECT has COME' Paul to the great dismay of many explains what 'That which is PERFECT COMES' means. It is after the end of the Church Age when Christ has RETURNED & the Saints are Transfigured into the likeness of Christ. When we become like Him. That is 'That which is Perfect.' You've probably noticed this has not happened yet. Therefore, that which is perfect has not yet come & thus, TONGUES, PROPHECY, KNOWLEDGE & WISDOM have NOT CEASED.*
Good message but how do you explain 1 Corinthians 14:2 He who speaks in an unknown tongue speaks to God what's the unknown?
Not speaking in tongues does not mean you don't have the Holy Spirit. The Bible says when you accept Jesus as you LORD and saviour the Holy Spirit comes to live in you. 🙏
1 john 3:24 and John 14:15-16 says only those who keep the commands (through faith in Yahushua) receives the Spirit of YAHUAH. Again, the Spirit serves a purpose, Her purpose is to remind us of Messiahs teacings and to WRITE THE LAWS ON OUR HEARTS. If you dont desire to stop living lawless, you surely dont receive the Spirit that writes the laws on the heart. Thats why the Spirit is caled the Spirit of grace Heb 10:29. For grace is the ability we receive to keep the commandments of YAHUAH. Titus 2:11-12
@Mr K Wants Bible so what do you think biblical believe means? James 2:17 believe is actions, what actions? depends on what you believe. You believe Yahushua died for your previous lawlessness Rom 3:25 you show your belief by stop living lawless. When you are willing to do that, you receive the spirit of grace 1John 3:24, John 14:15-16
@Mr K Wants Bible Faith saves you but faith is works James 2:17.righteousness is also law obedience. Luke 1:6, Isayah 51:7, deut 6:25.
Leviticus 19:19 can you please explain? Are we really not supposed to mix fabric?
Not you.
But the Israelites, yes. They were really not supposed to mix fabrics.
@@psalm1047 No! We are not all Israelites. Unless you're an Israelite born of Israelite parents, you're a Gentile. We are Gentiles, drafted in, adopted.

Hi Lex...is it possible for a profit be meant for one person?
Lex explain 1 Corinthians 14:14 and 14:18. If you’re going to talk about tongues talk about all the scriptures not just the ones you pick out to support your argument
Verses 15 and 16 give clarity to verse 14. But Notice he says "my spirit" not "The Spirit" prays. He says his understanding isn't fruitful if he prays in another language because he doesn't know what he is saying. So his solution is why not pray with his spirit and understanding also? If there's confusion about "spirit" see what Mary said Luke 1:46 And Mary said,
My soul doth magnify the Lord, 47
And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.
In Acts ch.10, how did Peter and those with him know that the gentiles had recieved the Holy Spirit ? Because they spoke in tongues.
*Because his intention is to attack something he fears.*
Tired of all the "shakala bobos" thankyou...Always felt something inside me recoil with disgust at the gibberish
I can speak a strange language that isn't of any language of humans. I have no clue what it is but I can speak it like it's a natural language.
Its the sign God comes in. Acts 2:4
It's not a complicated issue. But I think one of misunderstanding by people who don't fully understand what they are reading.
1 Cor 14: 4
While all you have said is correct, any one exercised in this gift will readily testify to the benefits that arise from speaking in the spirit...viz personal spiritual edification and a point of ignition resulting in greater levels of the corporate presence of the Holy Spirit and as the faith of Christ saturates a gathering other gifts are manifest with less hindrance. Many highly rational and intellectualized saints may find it a bit of a leap into the unknown but Christ is always glorified when people overcome such fears (not the receiver of the gift as it is a rather humbling endeavor at the best of times.)
What about acts 2:38
Although I do have the gift of tounges,EXCELLENT Teaching Brother,I wish more understood what you are saying,Peace 👍
Yet Paul said, "I speak in tongues more than you all" and forbid not to speak with tongues. You are confused about tongues, which are the tongues of angels (prayer language) Groanings that cannot be uttered, and what should go on in the church. Two different things!
Can I get a truthful answer to this question? Is it a sin to marry in Interracial?
You can marry different races, but God didn’t want believers to marry with unbelievers.
We are all the same in regards to our humanity, what we look like is irrelevant. The only person a believer cannot marry is a non believer. Yahweh obviously loves variety. I think we are all beautiful in our own special way.
Why do people " speak in tongues now"? Nobody understands them, but they still do it
They are blaspheming the Holy Spirit.

Have you or anyone else known a story like this? People speaking tongues?
Ben jij, net als ik, opzoek naar de waarheid, en heb jij vragen over bijbel? Dan raad ik je aan om het youtube kanaal: B’nee emet te bezoeken!
Every Christian should seek to manifest the gift speaking in tongues because:
- Christ our Lord said we would - Mark 16:17
- Paul encouraged us to do so - 1 Corinthians 14:5, 39
- The early Christians did - Acts 2:11, Acts 10:46, Acts 19:6
- We need it for deeper levels of prayer and worship - 1 Corinthians 14:2,14, 16-17 Ephesians 6:18,
- It is evidence of God's seal over the believer which is the Holy Spirit - Acts 2:38-39, Acts 10:47, Ephesians 1:13
Don't get discouraged by the confusion over this matter, even the early church struggled with getting it right. The above points should help our appropriation and application of this very important spiritual gift.
Five Different Uses of Tongues
1) Personal prayer language (prayer/worship/edification)
2) Intercessory prayer language (Spirit intercedes)
3) A prophetic message for a congregation (the Gift)
4) Singing in the Spirit (worship manifestation)
5) Evangelistic language (like at Pentecost)
The gift of tongues benefits the person speaking in tongues although they may not know and they do not know what they are saying it is a benefit for the Holy Spirit to communicate with God through them their Spirit United with his it benefits the perfect person that is gifted with the tongues
Yes 🙌🏼
1 Corinthians 14:2 For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.
1 Corinthians 14:3 But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort.
1 Corinthians 14:4 He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church.
1 Corinthians 14:18 I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all:
1 Corinthians 14:19 Yet in the church I had rather speak five words with my understanding, that by my voice I might teach others also, than ten thousand words in an unknown tongue.
Speaking in an unknown tongue (language) to a church who doesn’t understand you does only edify yourself because the church doesn’t understand you. How will the congregation say “amen” if they do not understand?
You’d be speaking to God only for no man understands you. Howbeit you’d be speaking in mysteries
Did the gift of tongues cease
It’s an attribute of the Holy Spirit. No man made explanation needed. Paul laid hands and men spoke in tongues. The Holy Spirit speaks in a heavenly language.
Done. Believe the word or believe doctrines of man.
Indeed, but not everyone is given the gift of tongues.
@@notwhoyouare1543 agreed! Yes!
@@notwhoyouare1543 I think a lot of doctrines get carried away with perspective. One man believe this another that… and they hold onto them pridefully instead of fully believing the word and all things on it… and never put God in a box. We can never understand all of God fully.
@@jeprodigalson792 - And when my Christian ethics are not quite the same as my Brother or Sister? Well....that's when it gets interesting! LoL.
@1987iuli yes to help us be a witness instead of just witness… they are to help us “BE” a witness. Inside and out. 🙌🏽❤️🔥
