I want you to do an encyclopedia of birds & flowers instead of a book because i don’t want you to stop doing these pages! I have so enjoyed watching you create these mini works of art!
Crikey! That would take me a long time.... I've already got an idea for the next book after the birds are finished. And also, there will be plenty of other creative types of things to show....
Mr Robin Redbreast is so beautiful!!! I love him💕 I look forward to your videos eagerly and I learn so much...even these straight stitches used in the shading is impressive....thank you Marion for passing your creative knowledge on to us....blessings to you dear Marion ❤
You’re awesome, Marion! The bird look so content and beautiful! Love the cute mushrooms 🍄 and everything on your page. Thank you for sharing your technique. 🌷tess
I just love how you take a few bits and end result of a beautiful robin red breast on a mossy fence post, beautiful. I really enjoy watching you stitch, beautiful work. Thank you for sharing.
What a lovely little robin you made. A few years ago there were 2 robins in my garden and they eat from my hand. They sit , take a dried insect and gone. It didn't take more then 1 second. But it is so wonderfull. Last year there were robins too, They came very close, but not on my hand. I try this winter again. Have a nice week, Marion.
That's so wonderful Marjan. I have had one take a grub from my hand before. As you say.... there and gone in a second! It was a few years ago now though.
That was sooo nice! I really enjoy knowing your process - so again thank you for taking your videos from bare fabric through painting and embroider to the end.
Well I spent most of my working life either working on a nature reserve or running my own gardening business. I just stopped around this time last year.
How pleased I was to see you stitching a little robin red breast, such lovely little birds and you have done him proud with your stitching, he looks so realistic. Another fabulous page for your bird book, I must have a go at stitching one, I think it would make a lovely Christmas card. Thank you for sharing again Marion

Ooh...you'll enjoy having a play around with them I'm sure Diana. I do love mine. It's a shame they don't do the other colours in a matching set though. I'd like the lot of them but it's just too expensive and I'd be getting doubles of the ones I've already got!
This is filled with unspeakable beauty Marion....You are wonderful. " A robin appears when a loved one is near." I will be stitching a Robin as soon as I gather my supplies and time is on my side, remembering my beautiful late brother who passed just one year ago. Thank you, be greatly blessed as you so deserve. 💖
The first bird I saw this misty morning as I opened the curtains was a Robin hopping along the fence so I enjoyed watching this video. My daughter's having a few days birdwatching along the Norfolk coast so I'll have something to tell her when she rings us to list what species she's seen that day. Her few days at a YHA base has gone ahead as thankfully we've avoided the floods and this is the third dry and sunny day! Stay well, warm and hopefully dry.
I really love the robin it’s so beautiful , you always do such a great job. I wish I lived next door you are a great joy. Take care ❤❤😊 Linda your friend
What a beautiful little bird. I love watching you bring him to life by adding stitches in just the right place . It’s one of the joys when turning the soil in the garden to have a robin a few feet away feasting on the worms and insects. 😊
Oh, he is precious. I just love the way he came out, and the fence post looks great with your moss added to it. I think we are all going to be sad when your books are finished. We all love to watch your creations. I never watched anyone put little bits of fabric together and make amazing pictures out of them. I am so enjoying your books. Again thank you for all the inspiration you give us.
Just found you Easter weekend 2024. You are an amazing artist. Will continue to watch and hopefully stitch So many wonderful ideas. May God bless you in 2024.
I'm enjoying visiting some of your older videos while I wait for newer ones to be loaded. Your creativity and use of recycled textiles is very inspirational. The little Robin came together so nicely. Our Robins here in Canada are different than your species over there. They rarely bother with eating seeds, instead, are more interested in worms and caterpillars. ❤❤❤ 🤗
You are so, so talented!!! I'm hooked!! 😊. I totally agree with a comment that I've just read. Please do an encyclopedia on birds, I wouldn't be able to do them myself, so I can live them through you!! Every new one I see is my new favourite!! Love watching you lovely xxxxxxxx
Enjoyed watching you stitch this Robin, he is stunning. Learned so much too, watching you soften the fabric edges with stitching and working different shades of colour into his redbreast. The little silky mushrooms are a lovely organic addition. You are so wonderfully creative. I am an amateur, I stitched a little Blackbird brooch last year after befriending a blackbird in my garden. You have inspired me, a robin sings in my garden most days just before dusk, I may now try to stitch a Robin too.
I'm so pleased to hear that you felt you learned something. I count myself as an amateur too. I've only ever taught myself to do things, but I'm always interested in learning new stuff too!

Over the years I just started calling it my tangle. But it's actually not tangled up at all. I never pull threads into a knot and I can gently pull free whichever thread I want to use. Anything too small to use again goes in the thread jar for me to use up if needed. I used some of the thread jar to make the blackbird's nest, which was page 2.😊

He is beautiful. I looked for the Robins when I was in England. They flit about so fast they are hard to spot.
They are fast. They're here all year round but are so much more noticeable when the tress and shrubs are bare of leaves.
Golly, Marion! I thought your robin was all wrong, so I looked to see if your robin is different than our American robin. Our robin is much bigger, and pretty close in size to a blue jay. Gardening or Bird magazines are the type of thing I use. They usually have really good photos with good colour and definition.
Fantastic robin and such a joy to see your work. What do you use for templates for the bird pieces? Card stock? Freezer paper?
I just use backs of envelopes or paper that would get thrown away. I draw out my bird and then try it out for size before I start cutting the fabric.
