You are truly amazing! I can’t get over how you know where to lay down your stitches and what colors that just give your birds such life and personality! WOW!
It's the simple things in life that bring pleasure. You've brought the common house sparrow to life with simple stitches, nothing fancy, no bright or gaudy thread. He perches proudly with a glint in his eye against the lovely background fabric, oblivious to how many people will admire him. Another top job Marion!
I'm so joyful that everyone has loved him. I thought people would rather have kingfishers and barn owls,...but I've just ended up stitching the ones I see every day..💐
I never tire from watching you stitch 🐦 🐦⬛ ❤birds It is magical how you bring them to life. I am in awe of your ability to bring to life with needle and thread.❤
This is simply beautiful. I love how you gradually built up the whole by adding layers and highlights and shadows. He's delightful. I too am an avid birdwatcher, feeder, bird lover. My grandmother's surname was Sparrow!
I watched your video on Sunday - stellar as always! I came back to read the comments- warms my heart to read them and see how much joy you are spreading with your keen eye for noticing detail and your trusty needle and snarled thread ball!!!Marion’s World inspiring the world- how wonderful!
Thanks Diane. It's really warmed my heart to see the lovely comments about the sparrow. I thought people wouldn't like the bird feeder part.... but everyone has loved it. It's made me so happy to think about it...🪡🧵
Hi Marion, Your House Sparrow is lovely! What a precious memory of your Husband feeding the birds of your yard, that makes this page in your book extra special. I have lots of House Sparrows I feed everyday, thanks for stitching up a well overlooked yard bird🪶
Sunday funday with Marion’s World….. and I happened to be already getting caught up on my videos when the notification from your channel popped up…. So here I am making my mark as the first comment 😂 silly am I?….. Thanks Marion for filling my Sunday with joy, relaxation and inspiration.
He is stunning ! So lifelike, and so personal, as much of your work is, making it extra special. Watching you create is such a treat ! Thank you for sharing xx
That little fellow came to life the minute you added the eye! Love the idea of the bird feeder and you captured it so well with the backpack fabric. And the seeds just were the frosting on the cake! Bravo Marion🎉
Marion, I look forward to each of your creations. The sparrow is so cute.. here in the United States ( the state of Arizona central desert region) our very simple cactus wren looks dull compared to your birds. Looking forward to you next bird design come alive from your hands/fingers
I looked up your little cactus wren... they're beautiful. They have speckled breasts, stripey tails and white eyebrows! I think you should try stitching one on a 🌵!
Just what I needed to watch you stitch another lovely page for your book Marion😊 I'm sitting stitching in my Sewing Room while my husband's watching rugby on the TV in the room. Both just found we've got Covid for the first time so for me at least I'm needing online friends to keep me company as I stitch. Enjoy your break soon I think. Thought I was the only one with crewel wools like that in my stash! I must finish a kit of a crewel sparrow that a late friend gave me when we moved here. I think it's a Nicola Jarvis design. I enjoy working with wools for a change.
Oh no...the dreaded covid! I hope you're both on the mend now 🤞 I haven't had it at all thank goodness. And I hope it stays that way too! At least you have something to do if you're well enough to have the concentration 🤞🪡🧵
I so look forward to seeing your creative book pages!!! Your little House Sparrow is the cutest bird 🐦... sooooo lovely with the use of your fabric and threads to bring the Sparrow to life!!! Blessings to you dear Marion ❤
Thanks Bridget. I knitted it a couple of years ago. I'll definitely have some knitting coming up as the weather changes. My fingers are starting to want the needles 😅
Absolutely beautiful ❤ Love watching all your videos, they are encouraging me to experiment with different materials and techniques in my own embroidery 😊
Wow Marion, your work is amazing, lm new to your channel, which was recommended by a friend, lm glad she did lm going to enjoy watching you create. Hugs Susanna xx 😄♥️🧵🪡🐦
Your sense of color is amazing. I think because you work in so many mediums, you have the ability to understand how they will interact with each other.
Once again Marion, you have excelled. Your eye for detail is out of this world. Your stitching is mesmerising, and the way you bring simple shapes of fabric to life is wonderful. You are a treasure. Grateful thanks as always. Vicki.
That was mesmerising Marion, to see that little chap emerge on the fabric. I adore sparrows and yours is just gorgeous ❤️. Thank you for sharing your process.
You are right that our backyard feeders are full of life. You might even say life at its finest too. Plus your sweet bird equals another fantastic project page completed and so enjoyable to watch. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for sharing your talent and flair for bringing your birds to life. The sparrow is so realistic I feel I can reach out and touch. Exquisite workmanship ❤❤
Excellent! Amazing to watch it come together. My favorite parts are the feeder and seeds. I just love the realism the feeder added. We have house sparrows here in Wisconsin. They are non-native birds. My father called them sputzies. Of course, I googled that: “Sputzie” is likely from a German word for a small brown bird. They ARE sweet little birds that are everywhere here. Thank you, Marion. You always make me think and remember. You also inspire me daily to be creative and use what I have.
Hello Mara. I really thought people wouldn't like me putting the bird on the feeder.... Just shows you how much I know!🤣 Really interesting about the German word.. here in the North East of England and in Scotland too I think, they're called spuggies. That's not too dissimilar ....🤔
Absolutely gorgeous Marion and it was a joy to watch this little fella come to life. I enjoy all your projects but I think these books, the birds, the flowers, are my all time favourites - so far! You are a talented lady and thanks for letting us take a peek into your world. xx
What a sweet little bird. Reminds me of the one I made friends with when I lived in Hartlepool. She would come every morning as I sat out at breakfast, and I would throw her a handful of seeds. It wouldn't have taken much encouragement to have her feeding from my hand, she was so friendly. You make such beautiful things, thank you for sharing them with us.
Thanks Rachel for sharing that. I did have a blackbird that almost came to my hand earlier this year. But I'm not out as much now since the weather has changed...
Hello Marion, watching from Cape Town, South Africa. I am so amazed how your birds come to life as you stitch, so so beautiful you are a true artist. So happy I found you and have watch all your videos and look forward to many many more. Thank you for sharing and your charm and true enjoyment as you work on all the different media you work in , Take care and keep stitching it is good for the soul. Lots of love Heather.

I am amazed at how you take a few pieces of fabric with various threads and end up with a gorgeous needlework bird. Absolutely amazing!! Thank you so much for sharing your time and talents.😊
Hi Marion! Wonderful! So skilled and creative you are! I’m a Christian and one of the songs I grew up on in the church is “His Eye is on the Sparrow’. You should research it and listen or read the words. It’s about Gods love for us. He loves you and has blessed you with creativity and many other things. His eye is on you to my UA-cam friend. Prayers for you❤. Thank you for sharing 👏👏👏👏👏
Truly amazing!! You clever, clever lady!! Someone mentioned the simple things in life....this tiny bird gets overlooked by many. You've brought him to life again for me. Thank you 😊 Xxxxxxxx xxxxxxxx
Thank you so much! I sort of thought that myself. I knew people would think I would stitch kingfishers or barn owls or something. But the little sparrows are there all the time and have such antics 😊
What a wonderful sprightly looking bird you have made. And I love that you made him on the feeder too. Thank you for giving us a chance to watch another beautifully embroidered picture for your book. It will be a shame when you are finished with it. Love all the fabrics you chose, they are perfect.
Your sweater is beautiful. I love this page and how much texture and dimension you created. You are such an excellent teacher. Thank you for sharing your projects. 💕
I did enjoy that and so pleased that you decided to include the humble little sparrow in your book. He looks quite splendid enjoying his feed. It’s amazing how your supposedly random stitches portray such a life like bird….impressive Marion ❤
Sweet little House Sparrow, so easily ignored among all the other showier birds. So much fun to watch your simple stitches create a beautiful image. Love seeing all the different threads you are using. I'm still working on my "Summer" flower book but have got waylaid by other projects for the moment.
I used to photograph birds in my back yard but your work of art is absolutely amazing! I really enjoyed watching you create this Sparrow! ❤ can’t wait to see the next one you create for your Bird book. 🙂
