  • In the early 1900s, the Lancaster and York Furnace Railway, better known as the Pequea Trolley, took tourists from Millersville to Pequea, and occasionally up to Rawlinsville for camp meetings. Today, a section of the line from Martic Forge to Colemanville has been preserved as a hiking trail, and together with Adam Zurn from Uncharted Lancaster, we're on a quest to find any remaining evidence of Lancaster County's quirkiest light rail transit!

Thank you very much for this fascinating and informative video presentation, it is great how you produce these videos as it helps to keep the memory of the trolley line alive. It is amazing how much of the random stone walling survives, it was certainly well built in the past.

Super cool! I grew up in Marietta, and there are still many stone trestles in the Circle Creek campground area, at the bottom of Chiques Hill.

Yes!! Thanks! I've always been curious about old abandoned places like that. I've seen some leftovers of that trolley and have always been curious!

Us locals call this the, Colemanville trolley trail. It also is part of the Conestoga trail system. Edit: I have to chuckle, because I made this comment before watching the video, because the video just kept buffering. My friend that I sent this to drew this to my attention and said, why did you repeat what he said.
