Vietnam has recorded its highest-ever temperature of 44.1 degrees Celsius (111.38°F), as weather forecasters warned that the new level could soon be surpassed because of climate change. The record was set on May 6, 2023, in the northern province of Thanh Hoa. Officials warned people in the area to stay indoors during the hottest times of the day. Record temperatures have been reported across Southeast Asia since the start of a heatwave in April.

Oh my! It's like 10 degrees less here in Malaysia and even this is so hot. I don't know how they are enduring that. I hope everyone get through this well and take care of their health.
wdym malaysia was that hot too. ive been there in april-may

Really? Oh... That's why....
It's freaking 44 celsius in central of Vietnam today, this is crazy
Saigoner here, the heat is more unbearable day by day, we could only hope for rain to make it better
I heard rain today in saigon, how did you like it.

Meanwhile, its an usually cold day in Zhejiang. Was below 10 Celsius this morning
As a Malaysian, I am extremely worried, not for myself but for the people of Vietnam
Nah South East Asia in general, temperature is getting hotter over the years,😢😢😢
In Canada in the Northwest Territories this year at the start of May temperatures climbed to 30 degrees or above
@@goblinslayer6375 🥵 Last summer here in the UK was deadly
Can't you just say "I am extremely worried for the people of Vietnam"? I don't get how letting others know you are a malaysian has anything to do with it.
Firstly we are ALL humans. We should take care of our fellow human beings. Nationalities have no place in these issues.

Its so hot i cant even track how much water i drink per day now
Dont forget to drink more water my vietnamese brothers and sisters. Love from Indonesia.
Coupled with Vietnamese humidity, I hope everyone is alright. This amount of heat would literally feel like suffocation.
It's insufferable here in South Vietnam. The sky is overcast with dark clouds yet the rain doesn't fall.
@@ALIEN_857 keep crying 😢

@Mister Big seriously get out of here, why do you post something negative about India in every video? I’m not even Indian and I’m annoyed lol

it is so hot in Singapore that I can't imagine how ppl can endure in such a hotter weather! Hope the ppl there stay hydrated and have enuff facilities to cool themselves down! 🙏🙏🙏
I can survive
In Singapore we are used to this
I can't stay in my room during the day and just go sit in the mall in Bangkok.
All the humidity probably makes that awful, like a Sauna you can't leave
South Vietnam terrain is almost all flat and there are not many lush green in the cities and rural areas. The whole place is like a furnace most of the time.
Go and retreat in the mountainous area of the north 😢
So. What? Its Sumner in Vietnam...
Why does the music sound like an apple ringtone
Stay cool in the shade and keep hydrated... 🕊
If it's high of 40 degrees why are ppl in the video still wearing long sleeves lol
Vietnam is hot everyday. People are probably used to the heat. Who knows? But the most logical reasons: 1) Avoid tan or sunburn , 2) mosquito 3) the cloth fabric are probably thin enough to stay cool
New record is 44.2
Heat waves are hitting Across States like Rajasta, karnataka,Jharkhand.
In Malaysia also hot 26C - 32C 😭
Development has its own cost
why Philippines is not included in this 😢 we have 45°C temperature
And they say global warming is not real
Indonesia just 30-33°C

lamb shank & mutton shoulder is still the best for me
I call this bs. People don't want to give up the comforts which the fossil fuels provide them with, so they keep pushing this lame vegan propaganda to feel better.
People, bring your portable air conditioners. 🇻🇳👌
Imagine if the UK had these temperatures back when they had their heatwave
Hope the heatwave in Vietnam doesn't last too long.
As it does every year.
Save 💦, drink 🍻
Largely caused impart by Vietnam's own industrial pollution of their cities and cutting down their forests.
Meanwhile here in Tokyo, Japan, the weather is pretty nice as it is still springtime.
Not to sorry, your time is coming. It will take a couple of more years.

I think here in Singapore is even worse
But since we have Aircon we can survive
33°c and 67% humidity as of right now
I think I die already
How are people still walking around in long sleeve shirts?
Because the sun
They like doing it that way, I don't know
It weird when foreigner see Vietnamese people wear jacket when they outside which is not familiar with their mindset. But it just like the mechanism of clothes keep you warm. It keep a thin layer of air inside which is cooler than the air from outside (44 celcius). Beside, It protect your skin not burned out by direct contact with sunlight. Some of the jacket also has cooler fan (same kind used for doctors when wearing protective gear during the covid epidemic)
To avoid the UV index's impact. And this is an extreme heat. Imagine when you expose your skin to the severe sun and high temperature, can you bear it?
Up next, the floods.

The earth is moving from a "goldilocks" state, towards a low-"goldilocks" state. Back and forth from a geological hot earth to a geological cold earth like some planetary respiration over it's existence.
And it is doubtful that the equatorial regions will be a better life for great grandchildren. Migrate your family and descendants towards the poles, sparse density countries with large fresh water lake to live around and ample ground water beneath decent growing soil. Countries in need of immigration to keep their populations growing where there's a lot of room to fill.
Countries where totalitarian, is a word used to describe other countries.
Climate unpredictability and instability due to a geological phase of Earth is not a personal threat. It's more a multi-generational family threat, that must be survived, not endured.

The Philippines has yet to reach temperature of above 40°C this summer! The last time we had temperature of above 40°C was years ago! So far this summer, our highest temperature during the day is just ranging from 31°C to 36°C depending on location. This range of temperature is just normal during the Philippines' hottest months of the year which is April & May! Iba naman po kasi ang air temperature sa damang init or "heat index".
