Hi Missoula, A quick suggestion for another video . . . There are several methods to entering Sitelink Extensions. And they don't behave the same. For instance if you select a particular ad from the drop down list at the top of the page, and then select Assets from the left navigation panel, and then add your Sitelinks by clicking the big round plus sign, you can enter all of the Sitelinks you want at the Ad Group level. On the other hand, if you go into your actual ad (Campaigns >> Ads) from the left navigation panel, select a particular ad group from the dropdown list at the top of the page, and then click on middle of that ad in the table so you can edit it . . . You will see the full ad with the Headlines and the Sitelinks, but all of the Sitelinks will be blank (even if you added them earlier from the Assets page). If you add Sitelinks in this page the Sitelinks are automatically defined as Campaign level Sitelinks and they override the Sitelinks for all of the Ad Groups. It took me hours to figure out that in order to have proper Ad Group level Sitelinks you have to do all of the Sitelinks in the Assets page. Any time you add a Sitelink to an Ad Group in the Ads page it completely messes up all of the other Ad Group's Sitelinks (looking at the preview in the Ads page). Anyway, as mentioned I have been working on this for hours trying to figure out the relationship between the Ads, the Sitelinks, the Ad Groups, the Assets, the Campaign level assets, and the Ad Group level assets, and how the various settings and entries interact with each other. I have watched a few videos regarding Sitelinks, including yours (which was very helpful - thank you for that), and no one has mentioned this tricky behavior in Google Ads. So, I thought you might be interested in explaining these potential issues in another video. Thanks again, Missoula. Have a great day.
Thanks for the video. I don't like the prefilled sitelinks when I click on create new sitelink. I don't want the prefilled sitelinks and I simply want to add one new sitelink to my campaigns. There is no delete function for prefilled sitelinks and I have no clue if it works reliably to clear the fields in the preset sitelinks. How do you behave if you see prefilled sitelinks you don't want to use?
*Thanks!*
