I happen to be a real estate lawyer in the UK. If one of my clients was purchasing through a LTD company, as often they do, I am under strict requirements through regulation and legislation to carry out checks on the company. This will include verifying the identity of the directors. Mr xxx xxxxx would not be purchasing a property with me as their lawyer.
Isn't the problem with this that you do not actually own anything yourself? What if the registered person reports it and the government seizes your assets, you would not be able to do anything against it. It's not like the government won't question the source of your investment, they will, the only difference is you will not be able to defend your assets. Of course this video is just a joke, but I am genuinely interested in how laundering money would work.

- give yourself relatively low salary as the CEO, divide assets between various sub-companies and charity funds that your family controls. Mansions/ jets that you can use freely belong to the company and you have a low income. If those sub-companies juggle bills between each other properly, they can report high operating costs and even losses (despite growing and being profitable). There is no tax on losses.

@@shardj5151 Not fake, real company. Yes, there is a paper trail, and govt. can know who's who's friend/ family member, but so what? It's all legal and your "on paper" salary and stuff you own is very little. In my country there are politicians who own nothing and their wife or ex-wife (but still together) is a multi-millionaire on a minimum wage (or unemployed). There is nothing tax bureau can do against it as there are no laws to counter it and politicians have 0 interest to introduce those laws.

If anything, today there is far more justice. Then once you cash it out, the wallet you cash it out with will be associated with an identity, and then from there the transaction would go to a bank account which would also have an identity, if not the same one. Sure, there's methods to launder bitcoin, but on larger scales it's impossible which is why it's not done.

Actually I just opened a business account this Saturday at SumUp (Point of Sale Systems/Card readers) and ordered a credit card. It just arrived today. I kid you not, all I had to do was give my name and birthdate.
I called the support and wanted to know where I do the whole ident verification because I was looking forward to holding my ID in 50 different angles. Nope. Nothing, already activated, ready to go.
I could outright commit crime with this card. Launder money. Receive laundered money and get it paid out at an atm. Commit cyber fraud.

Well technically yeah, but For most people it's not worth the hassle + You'd need a bank account, and since you don't have ties with high level bankers, you'd need to do identity fraud to make one
I think there are probably easier ways, if you are unfortunate enough to be in britain, this video is a good reminder of how it would be morally upstanding too!
