I’ve always had the heart for the homeless but never had the means to do anything because I always grew up in poverty and growing into adult I always had financial struggles but I always told the Lord if ever I had the means I want to serve the homeless and be a bless however I could, if I had major money I’d buy homes for homeless families.
That's one reason why God saves us is to help and love those in need.

In the late 70's.. the 80's and 90's. While the music of the world raged on the radio.. It was groups like the Hemphill Family and the Goodmans who were real STARS to us. I'm confused though, just a little bit: The gentleman who introduced her to the 'people living under the bridge' thought that might be a cure for a medical condition called 'Depression'? It should have been noted there is a vast difference between being depressed.. and a medical condition known as Depression.
Candy Christmas is one pretty lady never age. She has the same compassion for the homeless like i do.

We've had the Hemphills at our church years ago and gave to this worthy cause. We have all changed a little over the years but Candys smile and compassion for the bridge ministry is still infectious after all these years. What a story and a worthy cause.
One of the most tenderhearted of the Homecoming Friends. Tom Grandy, I also would watch the Homecoming concert videos, often looking for how she would react to what the featured onstage artist was singing. When she would be overtaken by the Spirit, I would be as well. What a sweet witness of the Holy Spirit.
Bobby Rich told me about all this when my wife and I visited him in Madisonville a few years ago. We went to his monthly gospel music singing. He had beginning stages of cancer at that time. He stayed with us when he came to Alaska with Richard Kiser. I miss chatting with him on the phone. you are doing a great work!
I miss the old Candy. Bright and bubbly. I am glad God is using her. I just miss the spirit she used to carry.
My spirit knows Your spirit Candy. "A spirit knoweth a spirit". You are beautiful both inside and out. I would play bass guitar and guitar for You for free. Every musicians and non musician that has heard me play bass guitar which I write songs on consider me the Most Blessed bassist theyve ever heard. I do things with it that no one does including putting harmonics over each note including arpeggios and chords.

I have suffered from depression for many years! especially since i lost my brother in Vietnam and then a short time later i lost my Dad!!! this was 1969-and 1970 I can't seem to overcome it!!--David.

That is hard, I am a born again, spirit filled Christian who has ptsd, if you need to, take prescribed medication and keep trusting God to give you daily strength to overcome and to get through, one day at a time, and keep praying and trusting God for healing

@@mhba9047 Did she not say she was worried about her place in the singing world? Maybe that was is the Mark Lowry interview. Then she realised her problems were small compared to the homeless.
I'd like to know if she embraces the truth that her Father found in 2005 and now teaches which is the true gospel of Christ. It's a departure from Mainstream doctrines. Difficult for many to accept but I have and I wonder if she has.
