Well, I really want this to have a wholesome and happy ending between Taker and Lucy, but I have a feeling that's not where this will go. I'll probably be sad and depressed when this ends.

yeah him doing what ever ritual he did to get to hell before death in the first place insured his "damnation" the only real problem would be lucy would have to find which skeleton he turned into which might take a year or two at best and they can return him some flesh eventually if they get azazel to start researching it like she did in the examtaker timeline dlc when she became the science demon

You know in a weird way its kinda tragic considering Lucifer (as a serpent) originally tempted Adam and Eve to eat from the Tree of Knowledge which doing so would cause them and those that followed to die (aka Helltaker is human and mortal and dies eventually). Kinda like how tempting Azazel in the Examtaker timeline caused her to take over Hell. I'm beginning to think temptation is bad in more ways than one.

Okay my guess is that we will see Loremaster/ the curious angel killing taker by accident and fusing/ pushing/ putting... takers soul into the "Roboter/ Abysstaker" so they can all life together.
But Lucy doesn t get the memo or thinks she fcked up and he died while Loremaster/ the curious angel is trying to accomplish what I wrote above.

@@thedeepfriedpotato8157 Ofcause you may ask, but no there (examtaker) doesn t happen anything like that, but "the problem" which beel mentioned could kill him by accident. For example she takes pride in her research and falls (Fallen Angel) the reaction or whatever you want to call it, when she looses her halo or when it turns black could be a shocking scenario for that she looses her "normal" sanity and welp (my brain is exhausted add the rest of fantasy by yourself)

I guess even though Taker knows that Azazel will take over Hell in the future and is trying to actively stop that, fate has other plans.
Can the man overcome destiny itself? Will love conquer all? What exactly is Cerberus's job? These are questions that must be answered.
