Thanks. I actually planned to submit it, but I've been having a hard time getting the 'blender_manifest' file correct. It seems simple enough, so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I probably need to read the documentation a little more carefully. 🙂
I have it working with the manifest file and have submitted it as a Blender extension. Looks like they're at least a month behind reviewing, so it may be awhile before it goes forward. Stay tuned.
Im not sure how you created chains and xmas lights using your modifiers . I don't see them in the modifiers when I go there... do I need to put those forms in to blender myself??? I am wanting to make a tentacle.. so just beginning my studies here!
Hi @dlebow, yes, you need to create/import the modifiers. There's a number of tutorials for both xmas light and chain geometry node generators on UA-cam. Wolf Studios has a free rope/chain generator at wolfstudio.io/assets/ (click on Free Assets and then Generators). I created my own simple xmas light generator for the tutorial.
I fixed a small bug that if you moved a grease pencil object before converting, it didn't keep the new location. I've uploaded version 0.1.3 that fixes this. Thanks Victor for reporting. I've also created a discord channel for reporting bugs/comments ("DadsCastle's server" #gp-to-curves). Here is the URL: discord.com/channels/1223185927828930560/1223186610028412948
I just uploaded a short video showing how to create fun geometry using the add-on with the "Screw" modifier. Take a look here: ua-cam.com/video/o4siL05csFs/v-deo.html I used it to make some natural looking leaf stems, wine glass, and just experimenting.
This add-on is now an approved Blender Extension! Check it out here: extensions.blender.org/add-ons/gp-to-curves/
i've a problem i don't see the modifier for hair. I use blender 3.6
Awesome! you should submit it to the new extentions part of the blender website
