This band is made up of three Marine Bands from around Southern California. You're welcome. Thanks for watching and sharing. You guys are incredible and put on a great show. I'm glad you all did Bandfest.
I can't believe that i was in the same parade as them and i didn't get to see them preform!
The Stars and Stripes Forever!
I love this performance, man! Makes me actually miss marching in parades/ceremonies with the Marine Bands.... NOT! Nope, I miss the great times we had on the road back in the 80's, etc., but not the marching part -LOL!
Great performance. It made a vintage Marine Musician proud and brought back many great memories.

during the time stamp, I find it funny for some reason when the drum major walked down and put the hat back on one of their member
wow. so much power. I love it. the way they point their weapons right at the crowd. unbelievable
USMC has style. drum break at 8,5 is great
Yes, these are US Marines that go through boot camp and combat training BEFORE they are trained in their MOS, which is musician. Any questions?
Thanks Carlos. I updated this in the description section above.
Thanks!
Stop clapping along, it's getting annoying! Other than that, good job Marine Band!!
Jake
Also enjoyed Wayne Bergeron on trumpet.
maravilha de banda militar e gosto muito. parabens.
Wow
That is awesome
way to go guys !
horn work is great throughout, but at 14 is off the freaking chain. Gunnies on Horns just wail it
he's on speakers, his sound is reaching the audience before the band
Get it together cymbals!!!
I wish I could play snare like that.
even though they don't directly protect the country, they represent YOUR Corps and my Corps. People enjoy watching and listening to them play and in events like this. it certainly paint's a better picture than when that grunt who threw that puppy off a cliff and posted the video on youtube. thanks for protecting the country from innocent puppies Grunts. that was sarcasm if you didn't catch it.
It's the combined band which means 1st Marine Division Band. Division as in combat arms. They don't carry their instruments during war. This is why they must qualify with their weapons every fiscal year because the band usually guards the Combat Operations Center (COC) so they are right there with all of the combat arms people.
Hey, is that CWO Edward Hayes conducting?
2:22 thats aladdin as in DISNEY'S ALADDIN
10:50 and beyond is malageńa :)
1:35 What is the difference between the two Marines at the bottom of the screen? Why does the Marine with the stick device walk away and let the other Marine lead the band, then later returns to march the band away? What's the meaning/purpose behind this?
SanFranciscoBay It's a matter of function. The marine with the "stick device" (mace) is the drum major for the band while the other one, who holds a baton, acts as the ceremonial conductor. While the conductor for this performance was a warrant officer, they may be enlisted men or women like the drum major. The drum major is responsible for the military appearance and drill of the band while the conductor is responsible for the musical performance, so the drum major had relinquished control of the band when he walked away and assumed command when he returned.
The one with the "big stick" is the drum major
In HS the drum major(s) conduct as well (most bands like big 5 a or 6a mostly)
+Steven Chambers I know brother who are the other dummies commenting?
erm, the mic delay is the antichrist as far as I'm concerned
11 thumbs down, again I wish I could've marched with you guys, CAPT Eckmann
+David Raeke thumbs down don't know shit. I sense you like this too.
BAD TO THE BONE, DEVILDOG BANDS
We rock lol.
Ha, Indeed it is a American.
OO-RAH
The opening of Malageńa sounds like the scorpion king :)

What about 29 Palms??????
darrell henson The MCAGCC Band (29 Palms) was deactivated in 2012.
Justin Grunes I did not know that. Thanks. I was there when they converted from drum corps to the band.

Guess noone learned the simple principle that Basses need to turn their heads FACING the audience to be projected and heard....
For some reason, I was expecting military music. How is this supposed to scare our enemies?
This clapping is incredibly annoying.
If the singing was as good as the mooving and gestures of the band are, it would be terrific. Sorry, but the sound is a bit amateurish...
Clods clapping along with the music...tsk tsk. Dreadful.
+SpeedyNeutrino172 I've SEEN THIS LIVE A MILLION TIMES, LIVING IN D, C. everybody claps every time!
