I love going back to this review. I remember when YT had the like/dislike ratio I could tell people hated being told this is a juvenile fragrance - which, of course, it is.
Once found a guy at church who literally bathe in it. Probably anywhere from 21-25, but at CHURCH! Forget the club, that dude was going hard or going home!
I have to agree with you guys 100%. The smell isn't the best I've gotten my nose around but it's certainly juvenile. A little too sweet for my taste to be worn casually. Amazing review as always!
thanks for your comment! i think contextualizing the audience who buys this is different than contextualizing the intended audience. we have no idea if the actual audience and the intended audience are the same, so we have to assume that this release is intended for men in general, and not just dudes who go to clubs. but even if most dudes wear this in clubs, it doesnt give it a free pass. we critique fragrances on their own merits. here we think it fails in that regard.
100% disagree. I like this fragrance a lot. It gets me a TON of compliments in just every day life. I don't club at all. It's not very popular in Texas so maybe that has something to do with it. In any regard, it smells great and people love it on me.
I don't own this fragrance, but I do appreciate your honest opinion, which is why I like your reviews. You do not hype a fragrance. The typical fragrance reviewer is a single, male in his early 20's. This is not a bad thing, everyone is entitled to their opinion. You guys don't fit that demographic, which is another reason why I like your reviews. Thanks again.
I think it's excellent for guys up to 25, maybe even to 27 or so. I can definitely see why an older gentleman would not find this appealing since it has a very...non-serious playful feel to it. I'm 23 and I don't particular love the scent but I bought it recently because I had a Macy's giftcard but after a few wearings to clubs and bars, it works wonders with the ladies (given that the ladies that I associate with in these environments are 21-27 years old).
Could you explain the secret of One Millon's Projection and Longevity? Is it an ingredient or some chemical? Why other companies don't use that ingredient which makes longevity and projection greater on their scents?
we think there is no better way to give an opinion other than being completely honest. if we would've held back our thoughts, it would've actually been intellectually dishonest and not cohesive with our philosophy of rating and reviewing. this is our normal way of doing things. we don't dislike many fragrances, so when we harp on a bad one, it seems like we're not being fair, though we really are. as we said, this has a lot of love which is undue in our opinions, so we wanted to elaborate.
I tryed this fragrance and I liked it, but until the intense version came out I didn't think it was long lasting. 8 years later and I think it's over rated. put some on for work but it did seem overpowering. Iam a huge fan of Paco Rabanne, but I've been using Ultraviolet by Paco Rabanne. I've always had more complements with this one. Black X'S is very nice too.
I can't say this was the most professional review you guys have done. I like the fragrance, and it does have a special place in my heart as the first fragrance I ever really wore regularly when I first started. But, putting my own biases aside, you spent twelve minutes bashing a fragrance rather than using your usual way of doing things. When you love a fragrance, you say so, but you never drag on and on and on and on and on about it.
I love the honesty in your reviews guys. Call 'em like you smell 'em. I can't see this one as a day scent at all and it seems tooooo thick and gummy for daytime. And I totally agree, this stuff screams immature to me. I think teens. Not even late teens. This stuff is young.
Great video. Even though you both disliked it, it made for some great discussion at least. I haven't tried it, and am almost afraid to try it. If I wore it, some clown would ask about projection and longevity, and I'd feel obligated to give it the full wearing and have a bad day like Jer. I did check out a sample of Lady Million, and thought that one was OK though.
I've got a few compliments with this. With that being said I am younger and the compliments did come in a clubbing/nightlife atmosphere. But I do agree with you guys the more and more I get into fragrances the less and less I like it and find myself reaching for other juices in my collection. Probably won't buy this again. Great review keep them coming! I personally give this a 2.5 out of 5
I'll have to watch that over again in a few minutes. Any chance you guys might do an Amouage split or something? Like 5 20mL bottles? I'd love to see some Jubilation XXV, Reflection, Memoir, etc.
you guys were not objective on this one, this fragrance is actually mostly natural but one ingredient/note, I'm not sure which one but I would guess it's the one that makes it a beast everytime with consistency, I go light like two sprays and I do just fine
I smelled it in a magazine, and I loved it. Not all scents have to smell like expensive leather and near impossible fruits and fragrances to find. This is just for the younger generation and I'm nineteen, who wears stetson. (Irony...)
Tried a sample and I get the same exact thing you guys have said. Synthetic, sweet, and to me it smelled EXTREMELY feminine... I think there are some girls that could appreciate it but also like you guys said it would come from someone immature.lol... BTW, thanks for the laughs as well
I'll have to check it out! I have only recently gotten into fragrances, leather fragrances included. I'm a big fan of Thierry Mugler, particularly two of your favorite fragrances marketed to women, Angel and Womanity. I want to thank you guys for doing something a little different in the fragrance community. I really enjoy your videos :)
Can you guys do a review on 1 million intense? I got a sample of it, haven't worn it yet, but it smells pretty spicy. Anyway was hoping to see if you guys liked intense any better than the original, thanks.
A lot of hate in some of the comments lol. I LOVE One Million, but can easily see why people hate it. I disagree with the Frag Bros' review, but god this video was great (and hilarious). Like I said, I can't make it through one of these clips without laughing my ass off.
I like it, it gets you compliments and smells nice in my opinion.I don't understand the strong dislike here. There must be something good in it with all the compliments. I think it reminds me of an offbeat A Men flanker kinda....its smells more natural then a lot of designers and I just don't get that overly synthetic vibe but just like a nice oriental, gourmand, and spicy combo. Its cool that y'all dislike it but this seems like less of a review and more of fragrance bashing lynch mob. ):
we arent professionals. we're two honest guys giving our opinions about scents. and this was our opinion. sorry if that offended you, but we felt like we needed to get it all out. to us this scent is atrocious. if you like, that's fine, more power to ya--that doesnt offend us. but we feel obligated to give our thoughts, good or bad, of a fragrance. and there are some fragrances that are going to be bad in our eyes.
No worries. I was just a little saddened by this one in particular. I still love all your videos (well, you know...), so keep up the great work. I especially love the shootout series. Did you ever do a Reflection man/Le Male one? I don't remember.
I really didn't believe you guys on this one, so I wandered in to the post exchange on my lunch break and the sales girl was pushing it hard. It was immediate regret. I was literally embarrassed to be wearing it. Scent memory of my buddy spraying me with Joop! in 1993 while we were waiting for the bus for junior high. Not that it smells like Joop! but that embarrassment came flooding back. I drove 20 miles home to wash it off before returning to base, was totally late, was totally worth it.
Other occasions for "1 million": 1. Trip to Thailand 2. Church camping trip with councilor "friendly" 3. Pee wee's playhouse 4. Neighbor girl invites you to her Tea Party 5. Find Golden ticket to Willy Wonka's chocolate factory 6. Falling into diabetic coma, need life saving sugar
Honestly, there are so many haters, it's unbelievable. Yes, it's loud, so are many other fragrances, and some with much more offensive smells (I'm looking at you A*men, and don't worry, I actually like A*men). You are kind of bashing it for a thing that you love on other fragrances, which is good performance. I'm not a guy who wears this every day, I don't even own it. I know many people hate it, mostly because of the people who wear it. But I think you should try to review the fragrance for what it is, not for what it is marketed as or something like that. You just sound like haters in this vid who are not aware that they are haters. Still, I appreciate the review.
They're basicaly saying the don't like the overly sweet-bubblegum smell, that's why it's offensive, not just because it performs well nor it's marketed to anyone in particular.
It all depends on the designer. Of course one like Michael Kors is gonna use the finest leather and the cheaper brands will have cheaper quality. Patent itself if just the shiny oiled coat it has and even that can be poor quality depending on the designer. Some coats crack or peel easy. Sorry I just know this because my gf is super into purses. lol
Great review and sooooo much fun to watch lmfao!! I usually live it when a UA-cam reviewer describes a fragrance they really love because of the passion they have for it however in this case I love the passion for how much you dislike it lol...and its not kool aid it smells like, it smells like wrigleys juicy fruit gum...love your reviews guys keep them coming!
The topic of fragrances is very subjective. I personally like this fragrance even though it is composed of synthetic ingredients becuase to me it smells very good. Moreover, just becuase a fragrance is synthetic doesn't mean that is a bad smelling fragrance. Furthermore, niche fragrances such as Oud Wood and Tuscon Leather both from the house of Tom Ford smell awful to me even though they are not synthetic. Be that as it may, every one has their own taste and preference when it comes to fragrances so their will always be people out there that will greatly dislike a particular fragrance but that doesn't mean that the frangece is bad. It only means that you don't like the smell of the fragrance. Like I said at the beginning, fragrances are very subjective.
I was trying to smell this scent out of the little samples that they give out at department stores and I accidentally sprayed it in my room!! Worst mistake! Time to ventilate...
i have had OUTSTANDING female reactions with 1 Mil and Aventus... compared to everything i've worn around them.... (including la nuit, l'eau d'issey, reflection man, terre, armani code, dreamer, and others)
hahaha! thank you for the story! my aunt has a HILARIOUS story about this, and she just told me a couple weeks ago. maybe we can do a storytime vid about it soon. :)
I know you guys only review cologne but would you be open-minded to review beard oil and balm? I know it sounds weird but beard products are getting very big in the scent realm
Shocking review. Even though I rarely wear it, this is not a bad fragrance. Of course there are scents much better than this one, but I don't think it deserves that low rating. After the bubble gum opening, this scent on my skin smells like a kind of baby powder, and I got the same "vibe" when I wear Mont Blanc Individuel. I'm not saying that smells similar, I'm saying that to get a good result, depends on how you spray it (at least on me).
I'm a female, and I don't think this fragrance is that bad. Classy? No. But it demands attention, for sure, and therefore, performs its function. I don't find this fragrance to be particularly sexy, other than the leather note. The leather is what gets me, but there are better leather fragrances out there, of course.
I've never found this to be a youthful fragrance...but then again I don't attach fragrances to an age...its just a scent it doesn't make any sense that a smell has an age..unless it's baby wipes or baby powder..
it's the association a scent makes. Roses smell "old lady", fruity florals smell like a teenage girl, oakmoss smells like an old man, etc. All associations. Everyone makes their own associations, so it's a personal experience--such as the smell of baby wipes with babies.
to me it's alright, unlike you guys I definately like the opening the best after which it becomes monotonous and linear until it fades out, if I was comparing I'd say allure homme sport is more synthetic and annoying than this one
You guys are a riot! I can't agree with you more---1 Million is horrible. The girl behind the fragrance counter tried to get me to believe it was "all that" in order to make a sale. I couldn't wait for it to go away but it followed me around like a stalker. ---a real mess---
This is weird, but I hate One Million just like you guys and still disagree with the way you reviewed it. This is a scent made for guys who club. I know you guys don't club but girls in their 20s love this stuff, thus mission accomplished. I just feel you should consider context too. Keep up the good work btw, just giving my 2 cents.
I tried this stuff a couple years ago, and one spray had me dry heaving. WAY TOO MUCH. Can you imagine walking into a club and god forbid if more than one person is wearing this
A fantastic, hilarious, and fantastically hilarious review. I couldn't agree more. I would probably give One Million a 2/5 myself, but that extra point is solely for the presentation and brilliant marketing. I still maintain that the only reason this ever became popular in the first place is because people really like the idea of a fragrance contained within a gold brick sprayer that looks like it was smuggled out of Fort Knox. Unfortunately, the juice within is much less appealing than it is appalling.
FragranceBros I agree and disagree with your review. The opening is "immature" or "gigalo-ish" but the drydown, or better said 8 hours later is what women in their 20s thru 40s have loved this on me. The opening gigalo, the drydown 8 hours later is "ill-freaky-na-na" time with the ladies. But I do feel you're pain in the opening. However, I've been told that Pure Malt was "old man" smell, by the same age group, can you believe that?
Finally! Someone who hate it as much as me! I agree100% this is a very bad fragrance, parts of it reminded me of my g-mother and other parts made me feel as it I was a 12 year old... Don't understand the interest in this fragrance, maybe just it being unlike any others, but there is a reason, its just too artificial. Thanks guy, another review from you that (TO ME) is 100% accurate. I do think it might be good for clubs, because as you get drunk you might start liking it and think others do!
I hate this fragrance I can't even smell it, but my family, and friends can smell it; however, this fragrance gives me headache. So I returned it to Macy's exchange it for Gucci Pour Homme II.
I just love this review! Has some very nice goofy and comedic aspects about it. And I must agree with you on the fragrance: I hate it. One of my most hated ones, even before I saw this review. And it is all over the internet as:"Very best chick magnets." I hate it, totally. Disgusting even. Smells terrible. Happy to see I'm not alone on this opinion :D Keep up the good work!
And I understand that, but there are better ways to say you don't like something than to spend 12 minutes doing essentially nothing but bashing on it. If it was any other fragrance I would feel the same way, so it doesn't matter whether I like it or not. It just seems like each other review I've watched on your channel (which is most of them) goes through and spends a lot more time on things that matter like projection, comments, painting a picture, recommendations, but you just sped through it.
+Fragrance Bros. oh awesome I've been waiting for that. And thank you for responding to your comments. It's nice and makes me know that you really care about your viewers. I love your channel and it is by far the best fragrance review channel!:)
I love going back to this review. I remember when YT had the like/dislike ratio I could tell people hated being told this is a juvenile fragrance - which, of course, it is.

This is one of my favorite colognes.

Gets me insane compliments, even from cougers!!
One of my signature scents, almost finished my second 200ml bottle lol.
God have mercy on you, 200ml bottle of this sugar garbage, did you lose a bet or something?
100% disagree. I like this fragrance a lot. It gets me a TON of compliments in just every day life. I don't club at all. It's not very popular in Texas so maybe that has something to do with it. In any regard, it smells great and people love it on me.

hay I didn't like the cologhn JOOP but then I sprayed it and half an hour later it smelled really good..
I like the opening..it has that Juicy Fruit Bubble come smell. But I do agree that the spices are strong. I normally wear 1 or 2 sprays.
ah okay. thanks for that! is it made with inexpensive leather?
Couldn't agree with you more. When you said it should be called "1" I was rolling on the ground laughing...
I can't say this was the most professional review you guys have done. I like the fragrance, and it does have a special place in my heart as the first fragrance I ever really wore regularly when I first started. I think part of the reason u guys hate this fragrance is ur age
You guys had me in stitches!! This fragrance is the CK One of its day!
Great video. Even though you both disliked it, it made for some great discussion at least. I haven't tried it, and am almost afraid to try it. "Patent" leather is not fake leather. Patent just means it has been coated with oils to make it shine and weatherproof.
Hey bros!!!!I'm not sure how to pm but, I would like to know when and how much its the aventus split and how everything works, thanks!!!
this is actually pretty popular with the ladies. thats the reason most guys buy cologne
i prefer spicebomb over 1 million anyday

Thoroughly enjoyed this review. From the intro to the skating rink comment. Best review I've read or watch on 1 Million.
Lmao! I miss you guys bad. Too bad they don't release colognes weekly lol. This video had me in tears a few times. You guys are great.
Richard Head haha! Thanks!
Can you guys do a review on 1 million intense? I got a sample of it, haven't worn it yet, but it smells pretty spicy. Anyway was hoping to see if you guys liked intense any better than the original, thanks.
we'd love to review it. we just have to find a sample of it.
LOL! thank you for the compliment! and thank you for disagreeing in a civil manner! :D
You guys are nuts. I don't think your even letting it dry down. I'd rather wear this then la nuit del homme any day
I recommended this for a younger friend {not a frag person] and he told me he was getting compliments. I've not bought it yet and now maybe won't.
Its cool that y'all dislike it but this seems like less of a review and more of fragrance bashing lynch mob. ):
I couldn't agree with you more. I thought I was the only one who felt that way about this fragrance....
LOL
Here in Brazil I saw two funny rip-offs of the 1 Million: "Millionaire" and "One Billion", hahaha.
we arent professionals. we're two honest guys giving our opinions about scents. and this was our opinion. sorry if that offended you, but we felt like we needed to get it all out. to us this scent is atrocious. if you like, that's fine, more power to ya--that doesnt offend us. but we feel obligated to give our thoughts, good or bad, of a fragrance. and there are some fragrances that are going to be bad in our eyes.
Man, if you guys liked this one this much, I can't WAIT to see your review of 1 Million Intense! lol
dude...sportin the face dirt...nice...may help with fragrance longevity...especially the sticky syrupy kind!!
yeah it's definitely young. and pretty strong. :)
'Reeks of immaturity', such a great line, haha!
No worries. I was just a little saddened by this one in particular. I still love all your videos (well, you know...), so keep up the great work. I especially love the shootout series. Did you ever do a Reflection man/Le Male one? I don't remember.
man i smell this every time when I'm out on the town, way too popular for what it is
I really didn't believe you guys on this one, so I wandered in to the post exchange on my lunch break and the sales girl was pushing it hard. It was immediate regret. I was literally embarrassed to be wearing it. Scent memory of my buddy spraying me with Joop! in 1993 while we were waiting for the bus for junior high. Nailed it on the head: It is 'Koolaid' the fragrance.
i have had OUTSTANDING female reactions with 1 Mil and Aventus... compared to everything i've worn around them.... (including la nuit, l'eau d'issey, reflection man, terre, armani code, dreamer, and others)
is it reformulated ?
This is the most hilarious review i ever watched! kudos bros!
hahaha! thank you for the story! my aunt has a HILARIOUS story about this, and she just told me a couple weeks ago. maybe we can do a storytime vid about it soon. :)
lol Ecto Cooler that pretty much sums it up. I feel sorry for those who never had an Ecto Cooler!
I know you guys only review cologne but would you be open-minded to review beard oil and balm? I know it sounds weird but beard products are getting very big in the scent realm
possibly interested. I don't have much of a beard to test it on, though. lol
hands down the most entertaining vid you guys have ever done, man, i was cracking up :-)
You guys ripped this fragrance a new one!
Shocking review. Even though I rarely wear it, this is not a bad fragrance. Of course there are scents much better than this one, but I don't think it deserves that low rating. @@FragranceBros I'm in GA brother I hope one day to shake your hand your awesome and seem very down to earth.
is it just me,,,, or does this smell just like Versace eros?? it does to my nose .......... thoughts??
this review...absolute truth, I would give this review 5 thumbs up but I only have two hands smh
to me it's alright, unlike you guys I definately like the opening the best after which it becomes monotonous and linear until it fades out, if I was comparing I'd say allure homme sport is more synthetic and annoying than this one

Thanks for giving this fragrance what it deserves, guys. 1 Million is barely 1 step above Axe body spray.
But at least people won't be able to smell axe or old spice because of poor preformance. This is so offensive it's almost worse dare I say that.
Good point.
In my opinion, One Million can be used to set a fragrance standard..."On a scale of 1 to One Million, how annoying is your fragrance?"...
I tried this stuff a couple years ago, and one spray had me dry heaving. WAY TOO MUCH. Can you imagine walking into a club and god forbid if more than one person is wearing this
Great review guys.. very "young" fragrance.
I can't make it through a FragranceBros video without laughing my ass off.
Official scent of all juvenile teenager guys
This is the greatest fragrance review.. in the history of fragrance.
but is not available in eau de parfum?
I agree with the bros
This is the least worn fragrance in my wardrobe.
favorite review ever
The cologne is too intense to wear everyday though.
btw i think 1 million intense is actually better than the original though.
You guys have been eating those "amsterdam brownies",have`nt you.Super funny video.
And I have a big bottle of this stuff. I'll be honest, I liked it at first and so I bought a bottle. But now I don't care for it. Haha :)
I hate this fragrance I can't even smell it, but my family, and friends can smell it; however, this fragrance gives me headache. So I returned it to Macy's exchange it for Gucci Pour Homme II.
great vid. my sunday started great with this. very funny. peace from Hungary
15 will get you 20! EPIC !!! Thanks guys!
lol also i'm 25 and so are the slew of complimenting parties
I just love this review! Has some very nice goofy and comedic aspects about it. And I must agree with you on the fragrance: I hate it. One of my most hated ones, even before I saw this review. And it is all over the internet as:"Very best chick magnets." I hate it, totally. Disgusting even. Smells terrible. Happy to see I'm not alone on this opinion :D Keep up the good work!
haha! thank you!
me signature scent!! nice review
1 Millions smells like a sweeter version of Chergui.
Not a fan of this one. I can see why it's a crowd pleaser, but it doesn't do it for me. So loud... so sweet... so synthetic.
I hate it so much but I think Invictus is much worse. I kinda hate Paco Rabanne and everything they do.
LOL definitely. I have a review of Invictus coming soon. :D
+Fragrance Bros. oh awesome I've been waiting for that. And thank you for responding to your comments. It's nice and makes me know that you really care about your viewers. I love your channel and it is by far the best fragrance review channel!:)
Could there be a tackier bottle? Glad I'm not 20 sporting this scent. Lol loud watching this review
Women go nuts over this. Period
