Well back in 2001 once i played this game for the first time, i first throught it was a 100% 1 to 1 arcade version. Because i simply didn’t knew that better technology existed before the nes. But boy what was i wrong because once i saw the arcade version for the first time in 2014, i realized that sooo many thongs were missing in the nes version. No high score list were you could put in your own name, no intro screen and no intermission screens,no blue barrels, nodigital sound effects,no poe factory level,no snaky fire balls (only roundish fire balls), no kidnapping animation once reaching the top of each level, 1 music tune is missing, the ai is not to great etc… This whole nes version just feels different. It might have be great back in 1983 as a home port but compared to those 2 C64 versions, it’s an absolute shame. And with that in mind i really don’t care about this version other then being part of my collection item.
