Insane Zwift Workout has me doing 400w for a total of 22 minutes. I'll talk you through why and how.

  • This is all part of my "Road to 300" and is in the middle of my second training block. This kind of workout sounds insane, but with proper building, it's totally possible.

    In regards to center number, i think its configurable not to take avg 5 sec power, but show instant power. It’s way better for those short intervals.

      Thanks. Mine is set to instant, not 5 second. There's still a significant delay. It's a known issue with Zwift that they haven't addressed yet.

    Wow.. that looks like a bloody hard Workout @tacomaCyclist !!! 😆 Have seen a couple of your videos and i like them! 👍 Think i will include this in my library and do it in a couple of months (have Covid now so in bad shape).. Maybe i’ll remove the 3rd set!

    seated or out of the saddle for something like this? or varied throughout? hardest workout I've done so far is San Joaquin +3 on Trainer Road

      Great question. Seated throughout. If I stand, it's only during rest intervals just to give the boys a break. I'll check out that interval set.

    so what is the basis for the workout? 30s on @ 135% of FTP and 30s off @ 50% FTP? and only 2 min rest. this is insane :) grats mate

      First, man, that username! :lol: But the purpose of this one is to tax the cardio pulmonary system leading to adaptations. It is generally 35 on, 25 off or 40 on 20 off. It doesn't really give you much of a chance to rest. It is evil, but it does serve a purpose. :-)
