Perfect description! Yuna's jumps are effortless yet full and substantial. It really sucks that she retired so early... but I do understand she's been through a lot and her body can only take so much. She sacrificed so much especially coming from a country with no history in figure skating. The fact that she triumphed even though Korea did not have top notch facilities in her early years really goes to show that she was born to figure skating. A true goddess. Forever known for her grace and strength both mentally and physically. Really bummed that Russia had to go ahead and rob Yuna blind at her last ever competition. Absolutely no shame or dignity.
Yeah I don't like how Medvedeva throws her arms into the jump. Like she needs the momentum to get off the ground. And then the landing always looks painful. Yuna's like a quick flick of the skate and she's in the air, and then she just brings her arms in for the angular momentum.
Is this why they favor her so much? Cus I've never heard about Evgenia until the hype on Yuri on Ice happened. And then she suddenly started breaking world records out of nowhere
Although it has jumped with the wrong edge, the system also considers the difficulty of entry and landing, and the video shows the work of steps before entry, rotation of 3 turns, and the appropriate height, not to mention that landed stable And that adds up points. The Flutz is not evidence for nothing.
I'm not upset at Evgenia for failing to produce a proper Lutz. She can always work to towards improving it. It does upset me that she's taking full advantage of the judges ignoring her flaw, and actually making the edge violation worse. Its also upsetting that the judges clearly overwrite the flaw because of her tano. The tano should only buffer her violation, not completely undo it. Evgenia is a great skater and I'd hate to see her disgraced because she decided to ignore clear problems in her skating that should eventually catch up to her.
Exactly. The point is that many skaters neglect skills that might have make their program better. For instance, Kwan didn't add spirals that require a higher level of flexibility and it cost her the Olympic gold. It's a well known fact that spirals were her strongest suit, but if she had bothered to add a Bielmann variant on her famous COE spiral she would has had higher chances of winning.
A Roper exactly, she's perfectly content with the scores they give her, while if she had integrity, she wouldn't be. She would instead improve her skills and actually prove she can win on her talent alone without judges favoring her. The fact that she seems to love this little arrangement where she can keep doing the same things every time yet get the best scores , means she is a cheat and complicit and she doesn't feel bad about it at all.
I’m particularly not fond of her combo spins because they looked forced . And with her head thrusted to the rear, lit looks to me she was straining herself. Other Russian figure skating ladies have done better.
YaChu Chuang If you watch another video on here with the ISU simulation, Yuna Kim should be the example for textbook perfect jumps...and Medvedeva should be example of incorrect jumps. It's truly unbelievable the scores Medvedeva gets, and her ranking. There is clear cheating going on, and I honestly would not be proud of myself like she is if I knew the only reason for my high scores and ranking were false points by corrupt judges...it's absolutely shameful, and any skater with an ounce of integrity would just quit in shame, yet she seems totally okay and happy with being a cheat. I feel sorry for the young women who are more skilled and talented than her yet have to live in her fradulent shadow and watch as she gets all the praise.
If this type of judging presses on, people will gradually lose faith in this sport. I am a huge fan of figure skating, but +GOE for a flutz is not acceptable. It's good that Evgenia tanos her jumps for added difficulty but it does not erase the fact the jump is wrong at its foundations.
Yes, Yuna is a past as a skater, but if anything, she was indisputable, and this girl is questionable. Enough said. On a side note, I don't think anyone is being personal toward this skater. It's just that we want to be swept away by her performance seeing her unusually high scores, but some of us, actually a lot of us, are not! And that's what makes watching her so frustrating. I am sure it's her couch's doing or anyone involved, not exactly her, but her skating in some way compromises the integrity of the sport and aesthetics of only the best quality skating can create. If we had to choose one person who could bring that level of skating in the past decade, it is Yuna, and that's why all these present day skaters are still being compared to her. It's nothing personal. Everyone wants to see beauty and feel excitement, but for legitimate reasons, a lot of us are not so thrilled by this girl's skating. Shame.
Totally agree. Just like it's not Sotnikova's fault for 'winning' the Olympics. It's the system. And with E. M. it's also due to her coach's training system and schemes that simply help drain beauty and integrity from this sport: making skaters jump at the second half of their programs but doing so the jumps need to be small and flimsy with slow take-offs so they aren't too tiring. Watching E.M is like, what another world record? But why was I so underwhelmed? If there's someone who is truly better than Yuna, we being Yuna's fans would support or even idolise the new star too.
I agree with you!, I never see a good lutz by Evgenia, she always changes the edge and never has deduction for that!, plus she is always overscored in the PCS with a junior program, is very sad how other skaters do a correct triple lutz but have low points compared to Evgenia like Elizabet Tursynbaeva and Yulia Lipnitskaya, they have very mature programs but they need to do other jumps more difficult just to have a chance of equalize the score of overscored Evgenia!
Astromanía yeah it's really sad! Just recently Yulia Lipnitskaya had to quit skating at age 19 because of anorexia. Her coaches and people were saying she was too fat when she's actually beautiful. She was also a beautiful skater. So much talent gone
I'm from Russia and WTF?? Judges, are you drunk??? Judging system must to be fair, this is awful Why they are doing this dirty score at flutz??? Medvedeva is a very good skater and much more intresting to see real score
actually i dont even care about unfair judge system and Russia anymore.. I just hope Russian figure fans could give another chance to elizabetta? I think she truly is worth of gold. one of very few in nowadays who does every jump right with good speed. That girl is the real deal once she does it right.
Hmmm.. Looking at my analytics. Every single dislike has been from Russia. Every like has come from Korea, Germany, Ukraine, Singapore, Belgium, France. Not a single dislike came from those countries. Russian Figure Skating Federation don't like being exposed...
"Bruh" thanks for wasting 5 minutes of your life watching a video you hate. I am glad I waste 5 minutes of your precious life. Bye. PS: My bad my analytics from a month ago forgot to include your dislike made 8 minutes ago.
I saw a post on goldenskate questioning whether her flutz was getting worse and I feel like it is, she has made no effort to change/correct the jump and why would she?? Especially when she keeps getting +goe from the judges, instead of edge calls like she should.
Yup I've read some of the threads and its quite evident she stopped trying to use an outside edge (but even when she tried she only achieved a flat edge). Its quite sad what the judges are doing to the sport. Expecially when you look at skaters like Zi Jun Li who also has the same flutz issue as Evgenia. However, unlike Evgenia, Zi Jun gets dinged like crazy by the judges. -2 -3 GOE across the board. The goldenskate forums can also be quite delusional. You've got a surprising amount of Evgenia sheeps on there defending her uncalled flutz. You would think that a forum catering toward experienced figure skaters would not have such people.
Yes the forum is quite entertaining. I love all the posts about Evgenia being the best skater in the world. Then someone with a brain corrects them and the sheep herd comes to attack the poor fellow.
It is definite that she does flutz every single time but omg look at her right foot! Right before taking jump, her foot is just bent inside. Compared to yuna, her toe isn't straightly positioned. Looks like she jumps with her edge. What a skater! I should rather call her an acrobat.
New Era standard 3luz = Deep inside edge Yuna Era standard 3Luz= Deep outside edge ??????????????? ISU & now judging system & all judge table was so "Ugly"
Nsk Haha so funny , Yuna perfect 3Flip than Medvedeva (Kim's speed better , 3 turn better, take off position better , high and long distance better ) What are you say yuna wrong edge ? Make me laugh hahaha
Nsk I feel are you complicated!!!! Yuna Perfect both jumps (Lutz&Flip) She lutz was deep "outside edge" She Flip was deep "inside edge" Are you understand ?
i saw her fliptz. Tilt of the foot outward. this is wrong edge. You just close your eyes when you see that, so good luck to your channel with 78 subscribers the same losers as you
What's more astonishing, is that she didn't have that deep inside edge and "toe axel pick" at first. Her lutz edge was just flat. It got worse season after season, because none was correcting her and instead they showered her with WR.
Koola King I don't know...if the deep outside edge is norm for Lutz then Yuna performs it clearly. However I think firstly Evgenia is small and much slender than Yuna, which may play here a vivid role. Secondly, in slow motion, Evgenia's entrance into Lutz with flat edge appears more elegant and less distorting, and in full speed by far more fluent and powerful. Maybe Evgenia wants this fluency and elegance in jumps more than clear technical Lutz. She mentioned she wants to show how beautiful skating looks like, she never declared that she has the best technique on Lutz, neither is this her fault. Don't be stubborn on this topics on Yuna Queen. Yuna is no queen, she is an ordinary human, much like Evgenia. They both have their own style and rightly so! Evgenia is original, she doesn't stick to book, can't you get over it? Ridiculous. Believe me, her time also will come , she will retire one day too...nothing is forever...
Daniel That depends... I am not Evgenia's diehard fan. It just so happens that she has the most beautiful programs and music year to year. Evgenia's skating as it is presented to the audience is a complete different level. I think that's the reason ISU turns blind to some strange rules. Evgenia uses tano, or even both hands so if you feel short or cheated on your concept of what must a Lutz look like, it is your own issue. She is very slender, so better stop arguing. What may be doable to a strong body type like Yuna, may be unachievable to Evgenia. It would be discrimination to call it otherwise. I think you have never seen Evgenia live, have you? Otherwise you would see my point: she takes somewhere away, but she cares to add tano, steps, artistic content - ISU must judge the broad picture. Even with all the calls she would win, don't you see she is by 10 points better than all the rest in the world?
1) "Evgenia uses tano, or even both hands so if you feel short or cheated on your concept of what must a Lutz look like, it is your own issue." -The definition of Lutz has been clearly spelt out by ISU, outside edge jump, that is ISU OFFICIAL concept, not what we intended it to be. Hence it is ISU's judging issues, not ours just because we are calling out her errors. 2) "She is very slender, so better stop arguing. What may be doable to a strong body type like Yuna, may be unachievable to Evgenia. It would be discrimination to call it otherwise." -Many figure skaters are slender, not just her. Alina Zagitova is also a slender figure skater, coached by the same person that coaches Evgenia as well. Alina's Lutz is outside edge unlike Evgenia, hence this is not called discrimination, this is called incompetence, please get your words right. 3) ISU must judge the broad picture. Uh no. Every score sheet by every skater has each and every element that is assessed one by one. There is no such thing as a broad picture in figure skating. You can see this link below: www.isuresults.com/results/season1617/wc2017/wc2017_Ladies_SP_Scores.pdf 4) Even with all the calls she would win, don't you see she is by 10 points better than all the rest in the world? She would definitely still win, but not by such outrageous margins where other skaters simply can't catch up to her when her fundamentals are not well established yet. 5) Otherwise you would see my point: she takes somewhere away, but she cares to add tano, steps, artistic content Artistry and beauty etc is very subjective. You can think of her skating as beautiful that is perfectly fine. But adding more content is not going to help erroneous foundations. It is like eating a beautiful looking but inner-rotten apple.
Thank you so much for having the virtue of exposing this fact into the world. Those responsible and involved in the cheating of scores can fool others but never their own selves.
Everyone talks about Evgenia's uncalled flutz and thus overscoring for this particular jump. But more importantly, she jumps three flips in the same program, which should lead to the last one of those three getting no points at all. If you take this into account, I doubt she would ever have ended up on the podium if the judges had done their job and did the necessary deductions. So the overscoring is much more serious than most people think. It's not just a couple of points, it's at least a dozen.
its all about popularity in the figure skating sports! its sad I know. If they are NOT popular, their presentation score will be lower or maybe less GOE for their jumps and spins.
I love Evgenia, I really do, but I notice these, and I don't know if she knows she is doing it, but doesn't care, or isn't aware she is doing it because SHE NEVER GETS TOLD SHE IS! If she got an edge call (which is well deserved), maybe she would fix it and her skating would be even better?
you might not know..correcting jumping is almost impossible..its like bad habit and our body naturally react it..it happened when ISU changed their rule all japnese skater struggled and never recovered for example miki ando
Nope she knows so many skating fans had been accusing her for her flutz, prerotations, and incorrect take-offs etc. And she actually replied to them saying that it's easy to think but hard to do and she's working on it yup she said this SINCE 2016 or maybe before that
Emi Wyan Nope she knows so many skating fans had been accusing her for her flutz, prerotations, and incorrect take-offs etc. And she actually replied to them saying that it's easy to think but hard to do and she's working on it yup she said this SINCE 2016 or maybe before that
I agree! I like Evgeniya but she does have a bad lutz. And I think she admitted it somewhere, that's why she only performs one lutz. But I'm not annoyed with her, it's hard to re-learn the jump, however I am annoyed that ISU don't call the edge and that commentators say that she has a perfect technique. Actually same goes to Osmond who I also really like. Actually I think a lot of top skaters don't get edge calls on lutz and flip...
The vaulting leg is what worries me more. Yuna had a very natural vaulting leg position, where Evgenia looks like she is going to dislocate her knee. The skate is almost perpendicular to the one riding the edge for the (f)lutz.
UPDATE: She got an 'e' on her lutz for the first time since her senior debut!!! www.kraso.sk/wp-content/uploads/sutaze/2017_2018/20170921_ont/CSSVK2017_Ladies_FS_Scores.pdf This was a competition held just a while ago
Yeah I was in disbelief at that one. +2 GOE for a deep inside edge lutz. Yikes.... there is absolutely no way they didn't notice that edge violation. That is evident proof that judges are turning a blind eye to "certain skaters"
Wow I’m glad I found your channel. So many uncalled flutz, that’s embarrassing. Not hating on Evgenia but I don’t like when ISU is not upholding the integrity of this beautiful sport.
I really wish Evgenia would fix her edge violation on her lutz, but I do not think it is her fault how the judges seem to turn a blind eye to it. I feel that if she fixed this, she could be an even better skater, but I do not see the point in all this hate on her, and comparing her to others. We should be encouraging to correct her mistake, not being mad for her for it.
Wow ! I just learned about inside and outside edges from this after watching a skating for years. I heard them say it always, but never really understood, but in this video and slow motion I now understand...I was so excited watching as I now know what it means..Lol....Thankyou. 💙
Okay but aside from that girls who put their tights over their skates should be penalized as well. It’s an offense to fashion. Let’s start a revolution.
I'm only asking this as a viewer of UA-cam skating videos with zero expertise in the technical aspects of scoring the elements, but does Medeveda's "arms in the air" technique during these jumps earn her extra credit during the scoring that would elevate her grade of execution?
Man, the twist Med has on that right ankle. Ouch! Yuna has a much deeper knee bend entering the jump, Med makes up for the lack of power in the legs and no outside (take off) edge by twisting her right ankle and pushing off with the right blade. Her ankle is getting taped now....She fell at NHK, the toes jumps need major revamping :-(
They should quit figure skating if they get triggered like that. Figure Skating is a SPORT therefore judging needs to be fair. How would they feel if their flutz got called while another skater gets +2 for a flutz.
Amazing video, it explains every detail perfectly!!! So eye opening!!! Thanks for helping all of us understand who really does it correctly, and who doesn't... obviously...! ;)
Your feet are enclosed in boots so it stops anything from moving too much. Kind of how a hiker or skier wears enclosed boots. The ankle is quite a flexible joint. You just need to make sure you condition and stretch those peroneal muscles on the outside of the lower leg- and there is so much more off ice training these days for those kids of things.
Not only for the left foot, but also comparing for the right-toe-foot. Medvedeva totally doesn't have a toe jump but a BLADE jump by her right foot. Her two legs are twisted. No beauty of using body force or techniques. They are many players trouble with Flutz/Lip, but she owns the most ugly toe jumps ever appeared. Yuna is the Queen of Lutz not only because of her deep edge, but also the straight body position, jumping height and length on ice. Her the right-foot toe pick straightly and correctly lands behind left foot. It is the key of lutz, force against the inertia of skating, the art of controlling blade by body~~~
Actually lutz and flip have the same take off requirements and they both cannot take off from the inside edge. Therefore when a lutz is cheated it does not become a flip. Rather it becomes like a bad salchow. Same thing with a flip. If it’s cheated it becomes a bad salchow. The lutz and flip differ in their entrance to the jump
Hmm...this is nice video. I understand that there is a great difference between Yuna's lutz jump and Medvedeva's that. Yuna's 3Lz is deep outside edge and really splendid!! but Medvedeva's jump is not bad. the problem is that judge have a high opinion of fluz jump.
Sure, maybe it is a flutz but let's keep in mind how most of her jumps she has one or both hands above her head, so even with the -3 or -2 GOE she probably gets the +for the hands above head. You can not just look at one aspect, but the whole jump.
Thank you video creator for teaching a proper Lutz clearly. Wow Yuna is textbook. The other needed reproval of the take off. Yuna is Lutz Queen yet the Evginia was obviously the Queen of Flutzes.
Love your content! I'm totally new in this figure skating world, and you've taught me all I know (I'm no expert, but I'm beyond grateful) Still, I'd like to see the other side... what are Evgenia's strenghts, and what were Yuna's mistakes? I don't want to put any of them on a pedestal they don't deserve
it's so frustrating that the judges don't do what they're supposed to do. it's just bad for everyone. and it's outrageous that the skaters that have spent time perfecting their jumps are essentially being punished for it and the skaters that have flawed jumps are rewarded for it. as someone who really likes allot of skaters that have "bad jumps" it's frustrating for me as well since it just gives people ammo for hating on them. the solution though is not hating on the skater, they don't decide how many points they are going to get, and honestly i very much doubt that it was any skaters "evil master plan" for it to have turned out this way. it's the judges responsibility to judge properly and to reward skaters that do the jumps properly. ISU need to fix this, for everyone's sake.
I do agree but you have to remember Evgenia is a world class figure skater. She knows the rules inside out. She knows what a lutz is and yet in competition she consciously does a flip instead of a lutz. That is dishonest and very bad sportsmanship. If you can't perform the lutz you should correct it at that point. For a time her lutz was a flat edge and she should have corrected it right there and then. If she had done that, the blame would not be on her. Instead of correcting the technique she decided to go full out flip instead because the judges are turning a blind eye to her lutz. When you decide consciously to not fix your jump but instead perform it knowing full well it is a flip... the blame is now on her AND the judges.
yeah i get the frustration with her and the other skaters that do this and for the people that watch the sport and want to see good skaters being rewarded and are instead being punished for it. however the skaters now are so young, many of them still kids (where i'm from that's under 18) and i think it's to harsh of people to blame them personally for the marks they get when they are that young and often in a very vulnerable position in general. if they had started their training as adults i would have agreed, but i think they are to young to be held responsible for the decline of quality in the sport when the judges; adult, trained professionals, are to stupid to do their jobs. if anything it's the coaches that should be ashamed in my opinion. they are the adults and they neglect their pupils technique since they can get away with it. they also set a very bad example for other coaches and it's just going to go downhill from here. i do think the skaters have more of a personal responsibility to do better and adresse their flaws as they grow into adults, but first and foremost the fault lie with ISU.
you make me laugh..her transition is still childish and not complicated at all..if you are a skater you would know..correct edge jumps effect the process of choreograph. i know for you it is hard to chew but truth hurts..grow up..you prove how russian is studip and no wonder why you need dope to win the sports..cheater!! glad we dont need to see you guys next olympic should be baned forever!!!
I love both evgenia and Yuna but Evgenia really needs to fix this particular issue because imo its her only technical flaw and its not fair that she keeps getting crazy high scores and keeps winning with a huge flaw in her technique.
Unfortunately, this is not her only technical flaw. All of her jumps have serious issues, including her so-called "perfect" loops and salchows. Look up Koola's videos on Medvedeva's "flawless" technique.
Hey Louise! Sorry! I was going to add you in the credits but my computer ran out of disc space and couldn't save! Was going to hit you up to let you know but I went to bed straight after uploading. I just woke up. I will link you in the description!
Yes, but what will the difference in points be? Would it have been enough to dethrone her? I don’t think so. Saying that, yes, it’s annoying that the ISU couldn’t spot the Flutz.
When Asada-Sang did : Call -1.40 When Zhenya did : Don't call + Goe ARE YOU BLIND ISU JUDGES? 😐😐😐 after Adelina win gold and Queen retired, I watch only Men figure skater or Japanese skater . So dissapointed.
Can you make video not only with Medvedeva? I'm not sure that you are not a hater as you say. There are many fine skaters, but you compare her only with Yuna Kim. Do you have another videos? No. Although there is one video with Sotnikova. Why are you doing this for? To show a bad judging system? No skaters, except Medvedeva and Kim? It's funny. I wish you luck and achieve your great goal. Sorry for my English. Bye.
The video maker explained it to a few other commenters (so im just repeating that) and he/she says that it's to show unfair judging as Medvedeva' s violations are being ignored by the judges while other (current) skaters are still being penalised for doing these same mistakes. Kim Yuna is only being used to show how the proper lutz should be done since she has a textbook lutz. Btw only replied cause the video maker doesn't really seem to be a hater (in my opinion of course).
I think that it is not qualified as a referee to give a margin for wrong edge use. The referee, Russia and Japan are on the other hand. So Yunakim is a great player. Even though he fought alone, he stood at the podium at all competitions.
After sochi scandal, this sport has changed

༺ཱྀ༼Mitsuki༽ཱི༻ 은 미나 most people I argue about evgenia's flutz are Yuri on ice fans. Its so goddamn annoying
You're right. All hype for Medvedewa is because of Yuri on ice. Thank you Koola King for get me out from this.
Andres Pulido Same Evgenia is a talented skater and she would show much more promise IF ONLY THE JUDGES WEREN'T SO STUPID AND JUDGE FAIRLY

I’m particularly not fond of her combo spins because they looked forced . And with her head thrusted to the rear, lit looks to me she was straining herself. Other Russian figure skating ladies have done better.
I love YUNA's "powerful", perfect jump
Yuna leg poses so that she can break.
Whether you like or not, Yuna Kim is all the time the perfect technical figure skater for women.
If this type of judging presses on, people will gradually lose faith in this sport.
I am a huge fan of figure skating, but +GOE for a flutz is not acceptable. It's good that Evgenia tanos her jumps for added difficulty but it does not erase the fact the jump is wrong at its foundations.
And this, my friends, is ONE of the reasons why EVERYBODY loves Yuna Kim. She truly is a master, a legend!!
It's been 8 years and i still cannot get over how Sochi Olympics judges robbed Yuna of that Gold. DAMN IT
I agree with you!, I never see a good lutz by Evgenia, she always changes the edge and never has deduction for that!, plus she is always overscored in the PCS with a junior program, is very sad how other skaters do a correct triple lutz but have low points compared to Evgenia like Elizabet Tursynbaeva and Yulia Lipnitskaya, they have very mature programs but they need to do other jumps more difficult just to have a chance of equalize the score of overscored Evgenia!
Judging system must to be fair, this is awful
Why they are doing this dirty score at flutz???
Medvedeva is a very good skater and much more intresting to see real score
Wrong edge. Let's face it.please
Figure skating is died
Yes, she is a great skater. But judges has to be fair. They destroy figure skating.
Thanks to the judges I'm less motivated to watch the figure skating in the upcoming Olympics. They need to get to the bottom of this.
actually i dont even care about unfair judge system and Russia anymore.. I just hope Russian figure fans could give another chance to elizabetta? I think she truly is worth of gold. one of very few in nowadays who does every jump right with good speed. That girl is the real deal once she does it right.
The ice queen KIM YUNA is the best
Hmmm.. Looking at my analytics. Every single dislike has been from Russia. Every like has come from Korea, Germany, Ukraine, Singapore, Belgium, France. Not a single dislike came from those countries. Russian Figure Skating Federation don't like being exposed...
Koola King i think so too russian n all med's fans r blind n they like to hide the truth
Koola King Bruh I'm American and I disliked XD
"Bruh" thanks for wasting 5 minutes of your life watching a video you hate. I am glad I waste 5 minutes of your precious life. Bye.
PS: My bad my analytics from a month ago forgot to include your dislike made 8 minutes ago.
Lillyan The Otaku There's always exceptions LOL

Yuna Kim is the best skater ever!
True but I still love it though.
Yes the forum is quite entertaining. I love all the posts about Evgenia being the best skater in the world. Then someone with a brain corrects them and the sheep herd comes to attack the poor fellow.
Koola King Yep but hey what can you do?
+Kayla Gaines Lets hope ISU starts implementing better edge calling guidelines next year!
It is definite that she does flutz every single time but omg look at her right foot! Right before taking jump, her foot is just bent inside. Compared to yuna, her toe isn't straightly positioned. Looks like she jumps with her edge. What a skater! I should rather call her an acrobat.
New Era standard 3luz = Deep inside edge
Yuna Era standard 3Luz= Deep outside edge
??????????????? ISU & now judging system & all judge table was so "Ugly"
Please show us better Kim's wrong edge on flip!
Nsk
Haha so funny , Yuna perfect 3Flip than Medvedeva
(Kim's speed better , 3 turn better, take off position better , high and long distance better )
What are you say yuna wrong edge ? Make me laugh hahaha
Perfect with outside edge? wery perfect! ))
Nsk
I feel are you complicated!!!!
Yuna Perfect both jumps (Lutz&Flip)
She lutz was deep "outside edge"
She Flip was deep "inside edge"
Are you understand ?
i saw her fliptz.
Shame shame
Your editing skills keep getting better and better. 😊
-unlike Evgenia's Lutz lol-
Yasss!!! Thank you for the complement! That last part had me hollering!
Monika Baková You're deranged. Have all of Evgenia's diehard fans gone completely insane at this point?
1) "Evgenia uses tano, or even both hands so if you feel short or cheated on your concept of what must a Lutz look like, it is your own issue."
-The definition of Lutz has been clearly spelt out by ISU, outside edge jump, that is ISU OFFICIAL concept, not what we intended it to be. Hence it is ISU's judging issues, not ours just because we are calling out her errors.
2) "She is very slender, so better stop arguing. What may be doable to a strong body type like Yuna, may be unachievable to Evgenia. It would be discrimination to call it otherwise."
-Many figure skaters are slender, not just her.
You can see this link below: www.isuresults.com/results/season1617/wc2017/wc2017_Ladies_SP_Scores.pdf
4) Even with all the calls she would win, don't you see she is by 10 points better than all the rest in the world?
She would definitely still win, but not by such outrageous margins where other skaters simply can't catch up to her when her fundamentals are not well established yet.
5) Otherwise you would see my point: she takes somewhere away, but she cares to add tano, steps, artistic content
Artistry and beauty etc is very subjective. You can think of her skating as beautiful that is perfectly fine. But adding more content is not going to help erroneous foundations. It is like eating a beautiful looking but inner-rotten apple.
I don't understand people that have disliked this video. It's totally nonsense.
Honestly, I like Yuna, but I feel like she is treated better than other skaters.
Queen Yuna! 👑👏💐
its all about popularity in the figure skating sports! its sad I know.
If she got an edge call (which is well deserved), maybe she would fix it and her skating would be even better?
you might not know..correcting jumping is almost impossible..its like bad habit and our body naturally react it..it happened when ISU changed their rule all japnese skater struggled and never recovered for example miki ando
that is why when Evgenia broke the world record most fan who knows about edge works disagreed and saying unworthy..
And she actually replied to them saying that it's easy to think but hard to do and she's working on it yup she said this SINCE 2016 or maybe before that
I notice she took out a lot of lutzes and replaced them with flips and loops after people complained she wasn't being deducted.
Thank you so much for uploading this!!!! - This Video says more than millions of words ...The only question is: Hey, Judges, WHY??????

UPDATE: She got an 'e' on her lutz for the first time since her senior debut!!! www.kraso.sk/wp-content/uploads/sutaze/2017_2018/20170921_ont/CSSVK2017_Ladies_FS_Scores.pdf
This was a competition held just a while ago
Team trophy 2017 +2 GOE???????????????? Fucking god kill me .RIP figure skating .
Yeah I was in disbelief at that one. +2 GOE for a deep inside edge lutz. Yikes.... there is absolutely no way they didn't notice that edge violation. That is evident proof that judges are turning a blind eye to "certain skaters"
And the fact that it was the first time a lady scored over 160 ... I felt something was off then
+MavyNavy
160 point very overrate score . Jumps so weakness (no speed ,wrong edge Lutz, no power ) ,Overscore in PCS
Daniil Andryushchenko shut your mouth up
i agree with you. in particular, the score of WTT is ridiculous!!!
Geon-woo Kim
Wow I’m glad I found your channel. So many uncalled flutz, that’s embarrassing. Not hating on Evgenia but I don’t like when ISU is not upholding the integrity of this beautiful sport.
I really wish Evgenia would fix her edge violation on her lutz, but I do not think it is her fault how the judges seem to turn a blind eye to it. I feel that if she fixed this, she could be an even better skater, but I do not see the point in all this hate on her, and comparing her to others. We should be encouraging to correct her mistake, not being mad for her for it.
So I dont watch figure skating these days. So disgusting. Shame on you ISU
What music?
good music. i was very entertained. can we have more comparisons than only between yuan and Evgenia?
Thanks! You bet :)
@@nlks100. What’s the music name?
Wow ! I just learned about inside and outside edges from this after watching a skating for years. I heard them say it always, but never really understood, but in this video and slow motion I now understand...I was so excited watching as I now know what it means..Lol....Thankyou. 💙
Queen Yuna.
Oh my.... I hope Evgenia will be more better, after Brian Orser become her coach.... she will have Yuzu and Javi too as her practice friend....
I love queen YUNA
Nothing makes me more proud of my Korean heritage with Yuna doing such a incredible job representing us. I miss her so much on the ice..
Only Yuna's skate that made me cry... Truly the Queen of figure skating.
Her ankle is getting taped now....She fell at NHK, the toes jumps need major revamping :-(
Evgenia even knows her lutz's edge i s wrong. That's why she pretend as if she does out edge on preparation process of jump.
Got banned from a group chat for sending this video lol some people can't handle the truth
Wow thats messed up... what group chat is this?
Koola King it was a group chat on kik made for figure skaters. They got hella triggered for no reason at all.
Aishi Ayano looool 😂😂😂
They should quit figure skating if they get triggered like that. Figure Skating is a SPORT therefore judging needs to be fair. How would they feel if their flutz got called while another skater gets +2 for a flutz.
When did “fairness” mean anything to skating?
music??
Faure Uyama hiroto
Thanks for this! I finally understand the flutz lol
What's the title of bgm?
Shame on u ISU judges!! How much did Russia paid u guys?
Name Music??
How long will we have to deal with ISU's punctuation "errors" favoring Fear? 😡
what's the name of the song that you used? great video btw!
Why doesn't she fix it???
Amazing video, it explains every detail perfectly!!! So eye opening!!! Thanks for helping all of us understand who really does it correctly, and who doesn't... obviously...! ;)
Thanks for explanation. It's so clear to me now
Yuna's deeply bent outside edge looks super painful for her ankle. I wonder if that's the correct way to jump lutz.
Russia dirty score
corrut soviet. just pathetic.....
김민건 what does the Soviet has to do with this??? SU is long gone, it's Russians, and their faults
Hmm...this is nice video. I understand that there is a great difference between Yuna's lutz jump and Medvedeva's that.
Yuna's 3Lz is deep outside edge and really splendid!! but Medvedeva's jump is not bad. the problem is that judge have a high opinion of fluz jump.
hahaha. high opinion of a flutz. love it.
Zhenya is on the wrong edge of lutz ,yuna was not on the right edge of flip also yuna loop was not good and she gave up
But zhenya is trying to improve
does scoring system anonymous? should reveal all the judges every competitions I think.
Why didn't you include skate America 2015?
Sure, maybe it is a flutz but let's keep in mind how most of her jumps she has one or both hands above her head, so even with the -3 or -2 GOE she probably gets the +for the hands above head. You can not just look at one aspect, but the whole jump.
Thank you video creator for teaching a proper Lutz clearly. Wow Yuna is textbook. The other needed reproval of the take off. Yuna is Lutz Queen yet the Evginia was obviously the Queen of Flutzes.
Love your content! I'm totally new in this figure skating world, and you've taught me all I know (I'm no expert, but I'm beyond grateful)
Still, I'd like to see the other side... what are Evgenia's strenghts, and what were Yuna's mistakes?
Elise Bech yeah. I don't hate Evgenia because she has a flutz that's ridiculous. But I feel like she is a good enough skater to improve it
I do agree but you have to remember Evgenia is a world class figure skater.
Lutz are so wrong that they seem flips. am I right?
you make me laugh..her transition is still childish and not complicated at all..if you are a skater you would know..correct edge jumps effect the process of choreograph. i know for you it is hard to chew but truth hurts..grow up..you prove how russian is studip and no wonder why you need dope to win the sports..cheater!! glad we dont need to see you guys next olympic should be baned forever!!!
Do you hate russians?
now that janny has been training under broser and TCC team, i hope she could at least manage to have a clear outside edge lutz...
and ISU needs to judge fairly... hope so. this is needed for janny's improvement.. or else they will just sabotage her
I love both evgenia and Yuna but Evgenia really needs to fix this particular issue because imo its her only technical flaw and its not fair that she keeps getting crazy high scores and keeps winning with a huge flaw in her technique.
Unfortunately, this is not her only technical flaw. All of her jumps have serious issues, including her so-called "perfect" loops and salchows. Look up Koola's videos on Medvedeva's "flawless" technique.
Koola King how are you not on the judge panel and bringing justice to this ISU madness?
Yuna Kim is Legend.
You know you could give me some credit for using my whole video. It took me some time make it.
Hey Louise! Sorry! I was going to add you in the credits but my computer ran out of disc space and couldn't save! Was going to hit you up to let you know but I went to bed straight after uploading. I just woke up. I will link you in the description!
Koola King That's all right.
I added a like and subscribe for you! :) Looking forward to working with you!
Thanks! Anyway your video editing is kinda better than mine!
Thanks! Haha its a different style! But your edit is just as good!
Yes, but what will the difference in points be? Would it have been enough to dethrone her? I don’t think so.
Saying that, yes, it’s annoying that the ISU couldn’t spot the Flutz.
I hope that you can make a comparison of Evgenia's jumps at the Olympics.
When Asada-Sang did : Call -1.40
When Zhenya did : Don't call + Goe
ARE YOU BLIND ISU JUDGES? 😐😐😐 after Adelina win gold and Queen retired, I watch only Men figure skater or Japanese skater . So dissapointed.
Nobody can replace what yuna done to skating world..their is one and only Queen yuna...after sochi scandal nobody believed you ISU
Tara Lipinski was a notorious flutzer, yet she won Olympic gold! Why does that sound familiar?
Ki Ha so you can use Tuktamysheva to show the best lutz ever)
İ love yuna❤️
I think that it is not qualified as a referee to give a margin for wrong edge use. The referee, Russia and Japan are on the other hand. So Yunakim is a great player. Even though he fought alone, he stood at the podium at all competitions.
