Anyone interested in the installer that let me down, it was Tech For Energy.

The 'quality' of that installation is so outrageously bad!

Jesus. Punched a hole in your roofing felt rather than running it through the overlap. I’d have gone spare as that’s going to leak at some point. What a bunch of cowboys. I think you need to get a review of the installation and issue a court action against them.
Refusing you guarantee because you didn’t sign it? If it is the same company as the one on the internet with the same name but no space between the first 2 words it seems that they complain about their customer bullying them. From a legal stand point they are in breach of the consumer rights act especially if this was within the first 6 months so I would have put it to him in writing he either responds as requested or you would have to take the matter under legal advisement. With that level of workmanship I would probably not let them back on site and gone for a independent expert review and then hand it over to a solicitor. Make sure you have family legal on your house insurance and then get them to pay for the court case.
It makes my blood boil when people in business make comments like you refer to. You gave them instruction, they accepted the job, did the work and you paid them money. A contract exists and is governed under the consumer rights act.

To be fair to them, it was four and a bit years after installation and the workmanship guarantee would have been five years. It was more the attitude I objected to. I think it was installed in a rush it get it done before the feed in tariff ended.
