So I had to blow my hair out so that I could get a trim because only like to get a trim when its straight. I thought this would be a great opportunity to revisit my fluffy braid out on blown out hair. Very pretty! I have the same problem with my roots. I sweat a lot, so they revert and even more so after a shower. You may balk at this, but the only thing that mineral oil is good for is helping hair not to revert. Just after straightening get a little Indian hemp and tie it down. Just be sure to not get it on your scalp.

You and your hair is gorgeous ! I heard you say you would usually have to retwist your hair every night. I used to retwist aswell until I realized twists that are soaked in product last much longer. So I do my twist out with Eden Body Works Curl Defining Creme, doesnt matter of on wet, damp or dry hair because I saturate the twists with the styling product and twist outs last 5 days with definition and no frizz. And our hair looks to be similar. Hope you try this and it helps :)
+Khassie Chin Thanks for the tips hun. Whether I reetwist or not just depends on how my hair holds up in the weather that day. Sometimes it’s so humid that’s it’s a mess by the time the day is over. I don’t reapply product each time, I just put some chunky twists in for extra definition.

To keep my hair straight in the shower I tie my hair up with a scarf and then put a winter beanie on. The beanie really doesn't have much ventilation so no moisture gets in. Also I shower with the door open to the room doesn't feel with steam. I take of my beanie when I get out but I dont take off my scarf until I'm completely dressed and their is no moisture in the air. My hair never reverts back.

To protect your edges from getting wet during shower, rap a towel on top of the plastic shower cape.

+HairByPierre I just go to a stylist, but I don’t have a specific amount that I get trimmed. I just tell her to lightly dust the ends to clean them up a bit. I’m very specific about not losing any length.

@allmyluvs To keep edges straight while showering, keep a scarf tied down to flatten. Keep it on once you get out of the steamy bathroom and let it set for at least 5 minutes to make sure the moisture isn't in it. :)

It's a must I take long hot showers so if I don't tie my hair down with my scarf before I put on my shower cap I can guarantee to have a poofy mess when I get out the shower. Just try tying your hair down sis.

Only wash you face outside the shower when your hair is straight. Wash with a cloth in front of the mirror to avoid going near your edges.
