@Archaic-Arms You make it look HARD. I CAN SHOOT FLYING PENNIES ON A BAD DAY. Nah I actually shoot at bushes from 30 yards away and usually don't hit them 😢
Very good! I think if you would attend some balearic sling competition on Mallorca, they would be quite impressed. However imagine, that the elite balearic mercenaries in Roman age would hit such target at 400m if the legends are true :)
@@alexmag342 U telling me there were guys who could consistently hit a man size target at 400m? Plz tell me where to find these accounts. If it's true, that's absolutely amazing, I'd love to hear what they have to say about it.
Thanks! I did manage go to the Ibiza competition this year. I think elite slingers would potentially be able to hit a man sized target at 200m some of the time, but I believe at 400m it would be area target.
Incredible aim. Can you get similar accuracy with a sling 6 to 12 inches longer? I find i get good accuracy with slings around the length you're using there, but not as much power as I'd like. But with anything much longer my accuracy goes out the window.
Cheers! I believe the sling in this video was 24" from ring to middle, but nowadays I only use 29" (almost kisses the floor when held with arms down) for target work. If the sling is longer than that proportion, then it starts to require a different technique.
In this video the loop is on your index, and your grabbing the sling like a Tonfa stick, when throwing a figure 8 motion i throw like throwing a nunchucks, grip is different, i don't desire to show in videos. But you can buy a nunchucks and a tonfa and see the results.
One of the best in the biz
Cheers Mersa! It irks me a little bit how close the 5th shot was to making a perfect round... ha!
You make it look so easy, lol
Just made my first paracord sling and I think I'd be lucky to hit the fence
Lot's of mindful practice, and you could do the same! The main thing is to not give up.
I can't even hit the woods.

Well they aren't legends, they are accounts, all Roman historians did military service

Oof that was nice. Awesome!
Thanks Kick! Aiming to soon do some filming with stones and a metal diana... Can't beat that ring! :)
NICE VIDEO!!!
and a Tilley Hat!!!
I've got one myself
Is there an online store where I could buy that target?
good slinging. I like when sun is out and wearing a hat like that and you see shadow and feel like Indiana Jones with a whip.

😳
The way it cracks as the rock goes supersonic at launch
At 20m Roman legionnaires would be hitting you with their first and second volleys of pila.
If you can hit a target this size at 20 meters you can hit a target 3 times as big at 3 times the distance.
yeah, but could ya do it in a battle, with other dudes shootin arrows and swingin swords and chuckin spears from the backs of horses?
Yes because they would a 200 meters away duh
Amazing shooting bro, what kind of (ball-projectile) is that?
Thanks! I believe it is a ball for dogs. Weighs ~85g (3oz) I think.
