Axial SCX10 III Custom Paint Job

Breann and I take the brand spankin' new Axial SCX10 III body to her work to have it painted in a colour very similar to "Tiffany Blue" which I've seen on some modded Wranglers, and just love!
Real-deal auto body single-stage paint is used. First applying the Tiffany Blue, and then following up with black.

Love the color! Any issues with adhesion using auto paint? I've heard that a first coat of either adhesion promoter or Lexan clear helps, but haven't tried it yet. Using auto paint sure increases color choices. Tried to look up Real-Deal single stage with no luck. You said it is solvent based. Is it Enamel?

Thanks pal! Over the years I've used both water based, and solvent based automotive paints, both providing great adhesion. Just as good as any Tamiya PS paint would adhere. We did this body in single stage, and the adhesion has been great so far. No adhesion promoters used, just a really good clean! 🤙

Hey pal, we're definitely fortunate to have access to a paint booth! Surprisingly, auto body paint adheres to polycarbonate very well! 🤙❤
