  • We had the chance to test out the new Evolv Supras and got together for a little round table discussion. Derick, Paul,Hugo and I tested the shoes out for a little over a month and we had the wonderful Kate help us organize our thoughts.

Would have been nice to see scumming demonstration instead of climbing video overlay

how do these fit compared to the futura? I'm looking to get a pair, but there's nowhere near by that carries them

The Supras are not as " hugging as the futuras ". Due to the extra straps on Supras you def. feel like you have extra stuff on the top of your foot. You don't feel like it gets in the way of your climbing but if you are comparing it to the Futuras, you know it is there. Also if your foot is normal to wide, you'll feel the Supras will have more room for your foot compared to the Futuras as well.

Brilliant! Thank's guys really helped me make up my mind about these. I do have to ask... I already own a pair of TIGHT Shamans (downsized a full size). Would these in my street size be a bit redundant? I'm looking for an all round multi-pitch/gym/all-day-bouldering shoe and despite the tightness I love the evolv shaman fit.

heya!!! Not redundant at all. They are pretty different shoes. The Shamans have a very different feel to them because of front toe being down turned and the Supras being made to edge. We def. felt a street shoe size comparison was comfortable and also very high performing. For an all day shoe multi pitch shoe( that performs really high ) we feel that these could be the thing you are looking for. Jeremy, def felt that by having a pair of these and a really aggressive shoe, he could use those two shoes to complete his shoe kit.

I have been climbing for about a year and a half just wondering would these be good shoes for grades like v6-v8

Hello Cameron, I personally would choose a tad bit more aggressive shoes for bouldering those grades but don't let that stop you from trying. I personally have worn them for V6/7 climbs and they work well but I know in the back of my mind, I wanted something a tad bit more down toe. Shoes are shoes. They are tools to help you achieve whatever you want. Some tools are better for some jobs and other for others. I still see guys killing it in mocasyms on hard ass bouldering problems and those are very not aggressive one bit. I personally, love an aggressive shoe. Thanks for watching and asking an awesome question!

It sounds like these shoes are exactly what I hoped they would be, great! It seems like street size is the way to go?

I def. went straight across the board. It seems the general opinion is that street shoe sizing is the way to go. Maybe if you have a high arch( like Paul ) you may want to go half a size up.
What other shoes have you worn? Here is an example of my sizing.
      Supras: 8.5
      Shamans 2016/OG: 8.5
      5.10 Hi Angles: 8.5
      Scarpa Instinct VS: 8.5
Nike Air Jordan 11 retro: 8.5
I hope this helps with sizing!
      Thanks for watching!

My current shoes are shamans and I absolutely love their fit so I guess the same size would apply here. Seems like Supra / Shaman / Aggro is a perfect quiver for climbing :) (although I will use my Shamans mostly for indoor since they are a bit beaten up / not as good as they used to be after a resole)

Oh Man!!! If you were to have a quiver of shoes, those would be an excellent set to have.

Are you still sticking to 9.5 in the Agros?

I am still looking for a local shop that stocks Agros/Supras. They are weirdly hard to find for some reason...

@@fromaugustisland Yup! They are great shoes for sure. If you pair them up with an aggressive shoe( Oracles, Hi-Angles, Instinct VSs', Agro ), you'll have the perfect shoe kit.
