I think Risa made a great point about cleansing balms. She needs one that dissolves waterproof and long lasting cosmetics. As a 65 yo who wears skincare, sunscreen, some eye makeup, and a little blush I can get away with a lesser (and cheaper) cleansing balm plus a second wash with a good drugstore hydrating cleanser. Very effective! I find as you get older you need less, not more. My skin is the best it's ever been and it feels great! Thanks for recommending so many great products Risa, and for advocating for more mature audiences!!

I've been using the japanese brand fancl mild cleansing oil. It cleans my matte foundations, two way cake, stubborn mascara, etc. Not sure if that's what you're looking for because it doesn't make my skin dry either.
That Kulfi concealer is sooo underrated! I feel like nobody talks about it but I love it! Thin formula but with great coverage :)
Coconut oil pulling is fantastic! Been doing it a while. No dental work needed for years. A friend was given an estimate for $15K in dental work so he oil pulled for a few months and then didn't need the work! Our loving Father has given us everything we need.

Omg that mouthwash! THANK YOU Risa for recommending that. I've been struggling with gingivitis for decades, and after watching this video, my instincts were screaming at me to try it. I'm SO glad I did. Omgosh, instant relief; and my gums actually look normal 😮 It's the 1st time in I don't how many years that my gums aren't inflamed and irritated. Even if this doesn't work for whitening my teeth- and it might not, because I don't think I can swish for 10 minutes, lol- I will continue to use this just for it's health benefits and anti-inflammatory properties alone. It's totally worth it😊

Risa - fragrances are incredibly hard to describe. Don’t feel bad. The best person I have found online is Jus de Rose - she is AMAZING and very knowledgeable about fragrance and she has studied In France has a degree in scents or whatever- she has a great “nose” and can pick out describe immediately any notes in a perfume. And she has a perfect French accent and is completely fluent in speaking and writing French. Totally worth a follow if you are interested in perfume. ❤

I’m so pleased I stumbled across your channel. I’m 65 with hooded eyelids and this is the first tutorial I’ve found that gets into the nitty gritty of how to camouflage the hood. So many say just do this or that, but you showed each step thoroughly and the resulting effect (which I was able to screenshot for a reference when I use your technique). Thank you for sharing 🌹❤️

YES to the GoPur neck cream! I’m on my second jar! I did the before and after pictures after 4 weeks of use and the difference is DRAMATIC!!! Not kidding- it was shocking(in a great way lol)

Revolution have a cleansing balm that's supposed to be a dupe for Elemis.....havnt tried it myself so can't comment but I'll get some at the weekend and give it a go.

Tatcha is a GREAT LINE! I use all their products and have never been disappointed except for a couple packaging hiccups that have since been improved.

I bought the neck cream and did notice a difference in just the one jar I purchased. I will be buying it again. I also love lumify and use it every morning before I put in my contacts. Love it and will not go without 👍🏻💓
The Hourglass Ambient Lighting Foundation is my holy grail foundation. I wear shade 3 (I'm fair but not super fair and like a neutral tone to downplay the pink in my skin). Thanks for all of the other recs, Risa!

I love love the Elemis cleansing balms. It washes off so great! I also use their moisturizer. I have combination skin and I never feel oily with it.

Omg the Go Pure Neck Cream I'm addicted to it forever...my neck has improvement you can see...and the jar lasts forever and i use in themorning under makeup and at night after cleansing

I love the tatcha water cream, i've used similiar products but none are quite like this one. It's pricey but I think it's worth it.

@Risa have you ever tried the DHC Deep cleansing oil? I’ve tried hundreds of cleansing balms and oils and this is always the one I come back to. It take’s everything off, rinses off clean, and leaves the skin clean and not tight. It’s the only one that does it all and doesn’t irritate. Give it a try if you haven’t already!

I was wondering when you’re doing a glammed up look, how do you decide which foundation you’re going to use? i.e. hourglass, MAC studio fix, Estee Laude Double Wear…
I agree with you about the Tatcha, Fenty and Hourglass products, Risa. I use TatchaThe Water cream and The Silk cream. I also love the Blue Indigo Overnight mask. I bought another tube of the Fenty Body Sauce in Honey Honey. I love everything about it but the transfer. I use it on my arms, hands, legs and feet in the summer. Big mistake wearing white sneakers. It was all over the inside of my shoes especially the underneath side of the tongue 😔. The Hourglass Ambient Light foundation is one of my two favorite foundations (7.5). I think I'll try the Elemis cleansing balm again. The scent was so off putting a couple of years ago, I stopped buying it. But now that there's an unscented version I'll get it sgain.
I have dry skin but I hate heavy moisturizers, even at night and in winter. I prefer to layer several lighter products that have other benefits but also add moisture.

I have the Tatcha Dewy Skin Cream & Serum stick for my under eye!Oh my goodness it’s like a brush of silk on the face!
I haven’t tried the Elemis balm,but I do love the e.l.f hydration cleansing balm.I find it so gentle and never leaves my skin feeling dry or tight. I also use their cleanser on nights that I’ve used more makeup than usual.
Try the Bliss Quench and Drench hyaluronic moisturizer. I doubt the ingredients are the same as the Tatcha but the way you describe how the Tatcha water cream is just like this Bliss.

Your videos are always so helpful. Would be interested in seeing a video where you try a different aesthetic for summer. it seems the less coverage skin tints, less matte, more cream and softer brows and lips are everywhere. I'm inspired to try and it would be so helpful to see how you'd adjust from your more full glam, full coverage and matte looks. AND how it wears on oiler aging skin before I venture into the office with it. 😂

I’ve never tried Tocca but the way you describe it reminds me of Dior’s J’adore Parfum d’Eau, which is one of my favourite fragrances. Soft, warm floral with a tinge of cotton? It’s amazing 😂
Can you please try the thayers milky hydrating toner? It says something about mushrooms too. It’s a light lotion to me

However I saw where Nina also adds MUFE UHD SETTING POWDER in her palm with her foundation as well…. What are your thoughts on adding the setting powder to the foundation?

Hey Risa. Everything from Tatcha is great except the cleansing balm. I’ve been using Elemis for 2-3 years now and when I was at Sephora I took a swipe of the tatcha and loved that a tiny amount took off so much makeup. However it really stings my eyes so I went back to Elemis. I’m a big fan of the night crème.

Risa, as a fume head. I can attest that fragrances need bloom, to settle kind of like wine. It may take a month for your new fragrance to bloom. I can’t quite explain it but I can attest to it.

You should try the clinic cleansing balm...the purple one. It's vegan and takes off everything so easily...including waterproof. I can't understand how it's not viral..its amazing !
I have tried it, for me it leaves a slight film behind. I do like the liquid Take The Day Off eye makeup remover though!

I have had the full size of Guilietta for over a year and I haven’t had any longevity issues at all. It has gotten stronger over the past year though. When I wear it to work, people can still smell it on me long into the day when I feel like I can’t smell it as well as I did earlier

I’ve tried Elf holy hydration, cleansing balm, and it’s not bad. My favorite is Clinique take the day off. But to save money, I use Grace & Stella F bomb this works. It’s a really good one. I haven’t tried the one you mentioned. I’ll have to check the price point. Thanks!

Hey Risa ! So what happened with you using the Pyunkang Yul cleansing balm ? You had said not too long ago that you discovered that one and liked it just as well as the Elemis and it is also much cheaper.. I was just wondering did you decide that you don’t like it anymore. I absolutely love that one and I like it way better than the Elemis which left my skin feeling greasy. I just opened my third jar of it I am definitely going to try the Tacha water cream. Thank you for recommending it ♥️
I like that one a lot! When I ran out I went back to the Elemis(found it on sale) and honestly just forgot about the other one!(I have soooo many products in my stash!) Thanks for the reminder!
I love the Tatcha water cream but I thought it was just too pricey. Neutrogena has a water cream that’s similar in texture. But I tried Dieux’s Air Angel and like it even more.
Have you tried the Melanie Mills Gleam? She formulated that for Dancing with the stars. I find it doesn't transfer and I also use her aerosol setting spray.
I also find I love the Dale Audrey Ayurvedic Oral Pulling Rinse in Cinnamon. It has a bunch of different oils and herbs.
I have Gleam! I do like it I just wish it were a *little* less shiny. Sometimes I’ll mix it in with the Fenty.

I use the Elemis cleansing balm, but purchased the Clinique to try - bit more affordable. Although I do like it, the Elemis gives a better experience :)!! Off topic, are you still enjoying Glow Recipe's Cloudberry toner?
I agree! The Clinique is great at removing, but for me it leaves a bit of an uncomfortable film behind. Yes, I am still using the toner! 😃
Risa have you considered hrt? Gum issues and tinnitus can be results of estrogen loss. I started with ringing in my years about a year ago (along with a ton of other issue) and thought of you. I just turned 48 and am in perimenopause, I don’t know where you are. But I’m doing hrt for my symptoms and man what a difference! I started in January and feel like a new person. And the ear ringing is gone! Just a thought. Thanks for the video!❤
I’ll ask my doctor again, but since I still get my period every 28 days and don’t really have other symptoms(except for tinnitus, and the gum problems I’m told are hereditary) she doesn’t recommend it just yet.
@@RisaDoesMakeup My original dr said the same. Then I switched to a menopause dr, just a gyn. Totally different story!
Forgot to add I still have a 30 day cycle. We still lose a ton of estrogen years before we hit menopause. You could take the pill or just go on an estrogen patch. I bet with the patch these things would go away. But yeah sounds like you would need to see someone who works in the menopause area. I was amazed at the options I had available to me, and how much better I felt after starting the patch.

I have been on HRT for 3 years and it has done nothing for my tinnitus. I wish it did, but not for me.

Yes, but I didn’t like it. I find that it’s not textured or oily skin friendly.

I use it firth thing in the morning before brushing, but I also drink water before, that’s totally fine.

No, if it was totally disgusting I couldn’t do it. The coconut mint is not bad at all.

Gum issues are part of the Menopause journey....basically we are falling apart. I have tried several times and messaged gopure re the neck cream but no matter what device I use it does not ship to the UK even tho the lovely team at gopure told me they do 😢. Maybe Amazon will sell it one day then I'll be able to try it ❤

Thanks Risa, I followed the link in your description box for gopure and the coconut oil + 7 essential oils , I put a couple of other things in my cart too and the shipping costs were ridiculous. I may bite the bullet just to try and see how I get on with them. If they work for me then the shipping costs will be worth it.

OMG ! With the fragrance - I had a similar experience with Mugler “Angel”. 100ml is not at ALL the same fragrance as in 50 ml (50ml scent is what I love). Completely bizarre. NO logic at all. Only buys it in 50ml now.
Run it under warm water before using it.
