Just before I turned 40, I read an article saying women over 40 should NOT wear shimmery lipglosses. I went right out and bought a new shimmery lipgloss! 😂 I’m now 57 and wear shimmer eyeshadows everyday and still wear shimmery lipglosses (Maybelline Lifter glosses).
Good for you! I can't stand it when trends or beauty experts try to box us in. I am 43 and while I don't think shimmery products look good on my lips, I think they look beautiful on other people and I cannot resist shimmer on my eyelids!
Thank you for doing such a pretty look using my palette Risa…I worked very hard on those shades and they are very personal babies for me! They look beautiful on you especially SugarTiger ❤ I am excited to get my hot new make up that I ordered over the weekend which is a few of the ones you used in this video 👏🏻
Just a little FYI, In case you didn't know, the shade ME After Sixty is a nod to MaryEllenAfterSixty, another UA-camr.. MaryEllen and Mary (GlitzyFritzy) are friends.
I first tried the Revlon Illuminance foundation a couple of weeks ago. I seriously Love It. I have dry, mature skin with large pores. It glides over my skin beautifully and blurs my pores. It wears well all day. Definitely a holy grail foundation for me. Thanks for the reviews! 😊
So good to know! I also have dry skin with pores that are more visible than I would like. I will give it a try! I thought it looked beautiful on Risa but of course she looks great in everything lol. ❤
I LOVE this foundation as well. I bought it about a month ago...I LOVE it. I didn't find much "glow" about it at all but my 59 year old skin looked healthy (usually normal but lately dry patched skin)!!!!! I think this is going to my summer go to!!!! This also played really nicely with my skin care and sunscreen!!!!
I LOVE these vidoes. And I have to say. Turning 62, my eyes even changed since 60 I cannot wait for this. Always love your tips. Been a follower since 2017? Yes. A long time and won’t ever stop ❤❤❤❤❤. Oh. And my readers are now 300😮😮😮😮. Edit again. That glow is so pretty. Dry skin here 😊
I would love to see tutorials on how to do makeup looks with interesting blush colors that aren't just peaches, corals, and pinks. The cherry blush from Dior, some of the darker red/burnt shades, and lilac or terracotta shades always look fun to use, but I don't know how you can pair them with lip/eye looks. Blushes are it right now, so I think those would be some fun summer videos to watch.
Just a tip! You could always use the blush as a light wash of color on the eyelids and you can use the blush (if cream or liquid) on the lips and top with a clear gloss, you've got a beautiful monochromatic look! Or you could just pop some bronzer on the eyes 😉❤
I'm a long time makeup artist, self taught by UA-cam haha (but seriously, Lisa Eldridge, Pixiwoo, Jaclyn Hill, Kandee Johnson, Makeup by Tiffany D were my standard go-tos back in the day) I went on to work for Chanel and freelance and I just LOVE your videos. I am 41 years old now and my makeup application has definitely changed with age and your content is refreshing for someone like me! I also have hooded eyes, so thank you!!! New subscriber for sure!
I love your realistic thoughts through out the video. I am 28 years old and adore you and enjoy your videos and genuine thoughts about all beauty things.
Risa, I have been watching you for a while and your skin is so pretty. Your new skin care is doing amazing things. You can get away with less coverage. Absolutley gorgeous!
Love the GXVE highlighter. So natural looking - not too much. I got the medium shade (home grown?). It gives me subtle color on my fair skin. Looks very natural. I’m over blinding highlights.
Another great video Risa! We are a huge Hockey family..both my boys played and we watch hockey as much as football..lol. We are diehard Pittsburgh Penguins fans, but I have a special place for the LV Golden nights because one of our amazing goalies Marc Andre Fleury . Fleury was LV’s first goalie when the team formed years ago. 😊. Congrats to the Golden Nights for winning the Cup! 😊❤️
Ok, Risa, this will be my first 'Drug Store' foundation purchase this year. Love a light coverage, glow inducing product. My skin is mad hormonal and drier than the Sahara. XO gorgeous!
I agree that the Sydney Grace shadows are underrated. I have so many of the single shadows and love them all. Thank you Risa for always putting out great content. I always look forward to your videos ❤️
So happy to see you use Mary's (glitzy fritzy) palette. She is such a joy to follow. I found her many years ago now through Mel Thompson who was her bestie. The palette is stunning!
I’m 48 and I use a ton on One/Size powder to set my under eyes and t zone and it works for me. I have combination skin. I also love the new Sephora brow gel and I didn’t like the new Maybelline or L’Oréal one. I like the Revlon foundation as well. 😊
Risa, I find I really like the new Revlon foundation. Of course, I have much drier skin. My FAVORITE foundation is Haus Labs. I think I might need that eye palette! Lol! I am a big fan of the GIVE line. I love the eyeshadow palettes too. I enjoyed this video being more "instructional." As always, your final look was fab!!
I agree with you about the beauty rules for more mature women, or in general, i think it's all about application. I love the sephora brow gel, i have the loreal one but haven't used it yet. Thanks so much for your videos, very helpful!
This is such a soft, pretty and perfect look for the summer! I have to add, please remember I am seeing you on a video, that your eyes just "popped," before you added the corner lashes. I am used to seeing you with added lashes, but today, my eyes were drawn to the color of your eyes, maybe it was the green in the tank top you were wearing? Thanks for your review!💚
Everyone I hear that talks about Sydney Grace loves their eyeshadow. I agree, they are amazing. I got into them after watching Mandy Lea rave about them. They’re awesome. And that pallet is gorgeous. I also got the L’Oréal Prime Lab matte one on your recommendation. It is pretty good but haven’t tried it under makeup yet.
That eyeshadow palette was so pretty! Would love to see you do another look with some of the brighter colors! I love colors but am not always very confident about applying them. I know you would give wonderful advice!
Risa, I’ve never seen someone set the cream bronzer w/powder bronzer THEN set. Think that’s a great idea for longevity & will make the bronzer look more natural
I have been waiting for you to try the Saie highlighter/blush to see what you said about how it works for texture. I figured you’d review it at some point. I have similar texture as you at the top of my cheeks. I saw it in Sephora and really liked the formula but wondered how the Saie highlighter works on mature skin. I’m a more subtle highlight girl. Mission accomplished! Thanks so much for the review! I think it’s going in my cart.
Look is great on you! A true pro! Love the eye look and you graciously acknowledging Glitzy Fritzy! I like the Saie highlighter and the Dior lipliner and Kosas lip ...maybe a darker shade for me!👍Ty for another great video!
Risa, can you review the new Elf pot undereye putty brightner and the new Joah powder foundation? I can't find any UA-camrs who have reviewed these items. Thanks for the video!
I have a question! I also fell in love with the Givenchy prisme libre loose powder in stain blanc and the voile rose! (Ty btw 🙌😉) but also a pound cake fan from huda. Which powder donu prefer? The huda or Givenchy? Which is better in your opinion??
Oh and Risa, get contacts. You won't regret it. I did recently and I cannot tell you how much easier and better it is applying my makeup. No more frame marks girl or magnifying mirrors!! Lol
Welcome back. Loved your video this testing hot new makeup is one of my favorites. You look stunning. And I love that dress your wearing very much ❤👍💯✔️❗
Hi Risa!! So I did my make up along with you this morning. I should do this every morning!! I absolutely love my make up today. Thank you so very much.❤️
Risa, you are stunning both inside and out! I’ve been wanting to try a Sydney Grace palette for awhile but your review sold me amongst other things you tried today! Thank you!
I have been looking for a makeup palette that contains everything you need in one palette ( eyeshadows, eyeliners, eyebrows, mascara, foundations, cheek blush, concealer, contour, setting powder, lipsticks). Can you recommend where I find them?
Revlon Illuminance Foundation is my favorite foundation. I did an experiment not long ago and purposely put on two layers(yes, it is buildable) with an old Elf mineral primer underneath without anything else. I used it with NYX Dewy setting spray. I went out in the heat and humidity for a half a day. In a 3x mirror, there was absolutely no slipping or settling into my wrinkles. I'm 57 and not in good health. If you use one layer with a damp sponge, it looks totally natural. Not that dewy or reflective. I was perhaps going to try that mascara next. I used the L'oreal Voluminous forever, and ever Max Factor 2000 calorie decades ago. I certainly not a fan of the Maybelline Falsies Push Up Angel. It has a slightly curved rubber comb on one side. Definitely not a fan. The Maybelline Sky High is a bit better, but I'm just not a fan of the rubberized wands. The wands just bend too much without reaching where they should without smearing on your face. I'd just rather just comb out my lashes as I never wear falsies.
Hi, Risa. I just returned from a trip to your part of the country (Vegas followed by SW roadtrip) and it left me wondering how in the world you keep your skin from drying out?! My daughter and I both developed rough dry patches on our faces and bodies. I ended up buying vaseline and slathering it on at night. Any tips for good skin in dry, sunny climates? Thx!
I love your hooded eye tutorial/new makeup reviews. As you can tell in my tiny photo my hooded eyes are beautiful but can be very difficult to get a look that most people can pull off. Adding to that I'm 47 this October. Yeah it's a blast for sure. You've made such a huge difference in my makeup application. Makeup has come a long way since the 80s and 90s cakey orange liquid foundations that smelled horrible. Along with the CoverGirl compacts that added a different tone to the face.

Me too! lol (57, glitter shadow, shiny gloss) 😊😅
And don’t ever stop! Who makes up these silly “rules”
It was probably written by a 20 year-old!😀
Thank you for doing such a pretty look using my palette Risa…I worked very hard on those shades and they are very personal babies for me! They look beautiful on you especially SugarTiger ❤ I am excited to get my hot new make up that I ordered over the weekend which is a few of the ones you used in this video 👏🏻
Is your pallet coming back in stock? I missed out 😅
Just a little FYI, In case you didn't know, the shade ME After Sixty is a nod to MaryEllenAfterSixty, another UA-camr.. MaryEllen and Mary (GlitzyFritzy) are friends.
Thank you for sharing! I had no idea!
Sydney Grace needs to give you a discount code. You made this palette shine (as you always do).
Hi Risa! Yay Golden Knights! Looking forward to being in Las Vegas in 2 months. Yep we’re those people.
Girrrrl, I feel ya on the "small hooded eyes" we do what we can! You do offer FANTASTIC tips for our eye shapes. Huge help Risa! Love your content.
Thank you!!!
Agreed! ❤

Hallo Risa, So excited to see you use SG Blessed x Glitzy Fritzy . I love that palette and Mary, your look came out beautiful.

I’m commenting as you are putting on the foundation and I think it looks very flattering on you.
Thank you for the video. Those of us with hooded eyes really appreciate you giving tips on eye makeup! Loved this soft pink look !
Agreed. The hooded eye struggle!
Love, love , love the new GXVE contour/ bronzer and highlighter.
So hoping she releases a blush and a foundation soon💜💜💜

No rules for makeup or fashion...100% spot on!😍🤩
Risa, thank you for this video! It’s so helpful to see your before and after. You are stunning (before and after).
Risa, you are the reason why I haven’t given up on doing eyeshadow looks on my hooded eyes🙏❤️
This is such a beautiful foundation. I have normal skin and it’s my favorite drugstore foundation.
I LOVE the Revlon Illuminance foundation! It is so good on my dry skin. ❤
I agree with you about the beauty rules for more mature women, or in general, i think it's all about application. I love the sephora brow gel, i have the loreal one but haven't used it yet. Thanks so much for your videos, very helpful!
You should host a Talk Show ❤❤❤ Your personality is Riveting !
Thank you for all the detailed steps how to use the tools and how to weare the products you looked amazing at the end😊😊❤❤
You are so welcome!
This foundation looks really beautiful on your skin.I will buy and try .Thank you for the great video 😊

I always get so excited when you upload a new video!
This means so much to me, thank you!
Risa I so enjoy watching you! Your funny, honest & just a real one👏🏽👏🏽 my favorite videos to watch are new makeup & reviews.
I am anxious to try that new Revlon foundation. Thanks for the video.
Look is great on you! A true pro! Love the eye look and you graciously acknowledging Glitzy Fritzy! I like the Saie highlighter and the Dior lipliner and Kosas lip ...maybe a darker shade for me!👍Ty for another great video!
So nice see a fan of Sydney Grace shadows! Their shade descriptions are concise & super helpful to make the perfect selections.
Risa, can you review the new Elf pot undereye putty brightner and the new Joah powder foundation? I can't find any UA-camrs who have reviewed these items. Thanks for the video!
Love the eye look it’s such a pretty palette thanks for sharing Risa ❤
Such a beautiful look! Would you mind sharing the nail polish and color? I have been looking for that color! I love it!
❤❤❤
Risa please, you have to review the new OneSize ultra pink powder 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Wow Risa! you did a beautiful makeup...love the eyeshadow palette. Take care.
I have a question! I also fell in love with the Givenchy prisme libre loose powder in stain blanc and the voile rose! (Ty btw 🙌😉) but also a pound cake fan from huda. Which powder donu prefer? The huda or Givenchy? Which is better in your opinion??

I absolutely love your fresh look Risa!, beautiful! X❤
Welcome back. Loved your video this testing hot new makeup is one of my favorites. You look stunning. And I love that dress your wearing very much ❤👍💯✔️❗
Love the look! May I suggest trying GXVE Mascara. It's REALLY good!
I'll check it out!
Hi Risa!! So I did my make up along with you this morning. I should do this every morning!! I absolutely love my make up today. Thank you so very much.❤️
Awesome!!! Love this. 😊🥰
Risa, this is beautiful on you..what is your favorite smoothing foundation & favorite primer & powder to hide pores?
Very pretty! I’m loving my Blessed palette! I also absolutely love the shimmer Sugar Tiger!
Risa, you are stunning both inside and out! I’ve been wanting to try a Sydney Grace palette for awhile but your review sold me amongst other things you tried today! Thank you!
Have you tried the essence tinted brow? It has fibers also and works well and is only like 3.99.
I wanna try this! Every time I pass thru a CVS I stop... forget... And pick up a lippie or metallic liner!
Not yet but I’ll put it on my list!

Colour pop has lip pencils with the brush on the other end too 😉
Hello Risa 😊Lovely lovely look and I still do your tips for the hooded eyes 😊👍👍💖💖💖
Risa, how does this foundation compare to Mac's face and body ? It looks really nice! :)
Thank you, Risa. You are the best🥰
My monday morning Risa, right on time! 🙌💜
Thx!
Go Knights Go!
That eye look is stunning! You are so talented👍❤️
Thank you so much!!
Thank you so much! ❤️
Love this eyeshadow look! So beautiful. Do you recommend the bk beauty brushes for hooded eyes?
Yes, definitely!!
Have you tested out Laura Geller foundation?
I love your hooded eye tutorial/new makeup reviews. As you can tell in my tiny photo my hooded eyes are beautiful but can be very difficult to get a look that most people can pull off. Adding to that I'm 47 this October. Yeah it's a blast for sure. You've made such a huge difference in my makeup application. Makeup has come a long way since the 80s and 90s cakey orange liquid foundations that smelled horrible. Along with the CoverGirl compacts that added a different tone to the face.
Have you tried the Thrive Tubing mascara. I have oily skin like you and every mascara including waterproof still smudges. But the Thrive does not smear or flake.
Can you give a link and say again what eyeshadow primer you love?
My husband and son went to the Knights game! Epic moment! I WANT to try that Kosas and Saie. Do you have any of the new Saie bronzer colors?
Which nail polish is this Risa? 💅
You look amazing! Your eyes are beautiful ❤️
Beautiful look, Risa! Love the nail color as well!
What color in the ND concealer?
I still wanna try that ND concealer!
Thanks for the great review Gorgeous! ❤
Which muf hd face pallets please

I’m considering the Baby Rose. But I’m afraid it won’t last long. How’s the wear time??
The west time is decent for a glossy finish product!
I know how to apply makeup, but I have problem picking the right colour for eyeshadows for my skin type.
Beautiful eye look! I have to try this!
Beautiful! But I’m not surprised!😊💕
I finally got contacts and I love t.
I hear the illuminance is a dupe for the makeup by mario foundation. 🤷♀️ idk i only have the revlon.
Ooh I hated the Mario so I’d say it’s better! Lol
Beautiful look!!
I always love how these looks turn out most times they're always so pretty but this specifically really gorgeous on you and I really love this one or something I love particular you really enjoyed the the I look as well and just a hole look is super pretty it is Glam but I don't know if it's the lamp like you usually do a little bit more subtle and that is pretty as
That is an adorable tank ❤
