I just started knitting a few years ago but lately I find myself daydreaming about felting knit items. I really had no idea what the process entailed and your video was the perfect introduction for me. I promise there is about to be a kitchen full of drying knitted items lol! It will be so fun, I'm sure! The bag is excellent by the way but I do hope you left it sans pocket!
That is gorgeous....how informative and educational! I love handbags but hate to knit (I crochet). I can tell that sooner or later I am going to have to learn to love knitting because I am not going to be able to resist trying this. I have heard, watched and read about felting and could see where it could be useful but never found a good, concise explanation of the how to's before this. Your video was concise and comprehensive. Thank you.
yes, do the pocket! Very cute bag! Thank you for showing the actual felting process. So many tutorials just tell you to felt it and then verbally describe what to do. I too am a visual learner.
I love the bag and can not wait to felt. I have my skein of Lion's brand Fisherman's wool in brown which says it is perfect for felting. Thanks so much for taking the time to share!!!
Thank-you the instructions were very clear. I don't knit but am going to try and do something like this with a old 100 wool sweater, would you like a picture on before and after, if it works? Thanks again Tracy From Vancouver Canada
Thanks! This was very helpful. I've knitted a bag about the size of yours, but only have a front load washer. I'll visit your website to see if I can use that instead of felting it by hand which would take quite a while :)
I would love to find a pattern for knee high knittedfelted and wool moccasins something with a leather Sole and ill sow that on later but a pattern to make for my feet so when it shrinks it shrinks hopefully to the right size looking for a pattern for knee high knitted and felted wool hunting moccasins
