This will get lost in the comments, but you need to start using the spin. Go to the furthest right arrow on the alley and on the release, rotate the wii remote counterclockwise as much as you can. It will hit they middle pin at the right angle and speed and will get a strike pretty much every time.

I got a perfect game with the pro ball.
I used a very specific technique that worked insanely well.
Go to the right 1.5 marks so you’re in between 2 and 3 (from the right). You have to throw it hard and high into the air while spinning the ball to the inside.
Have to hit between pins 1 and 3 and it will work

Weight stats
The reason why your getting bumped around the track so very often is because toad, which is who your playing as, he is a light weight, which means he will get bumped around so easily there are three levels of weight light weight, medium weight and heavy weight
The vehicle that your using are standard karts when you have the opportunities to use other vehicles like bikes which I really do recommend since they have stronger inside drifting, no why am I telling you to use a bike well, the vehicles which inside drifts are good vehicles, also it’s probably best if you use a nunchuck other from the Wii wheel since it really does throw the player off with the wonky controls that they have, and another thing, use manual drifting with the nunchuck it really helps, trust me
Strategies and short cuts
Now for some strategies, let’s say that you have a banana as your items which I’m not going to lie, they are helpful, you can hold them behind you if you hold the side battens on the plus control pad or hold Z on nunchuck the same thing also goes for shells and bombs which I seriously do not recommend doing, but the FIB (Fake Item Box) is only effective against the player not the items like shells and bananas.
Short cuts are another thing to use if you have the right items (as in right items I mean like mushrooms) and some of them doesn’t really need mushrooms like DK summit, Wario’s gold mine and and DK Mountain, if you have a look at all short cuts on Mario kart you’ll know what I mean and I’ll let you figure that out.
The mini turbo that you keep messing up on are very simple, just hold down the acceleration button just about when 2 disappears to 1, it’s very simple and it’s really effective for the vehicles that has good mini turbo stats
Recommend characters and vehicles
Alright, so I’ll be telling you which characters and vehicles to use, if your using a medium weight (such as Mario) use the Mach bike
Light weight (such as toad) use the bullet bike
Heavy weight (such as bowser) us the bowser bike
As I said the bikes best the cars with inside drifting
And one more thing you can practice these tips in trial mode with nothing trying to screw you over other than what’s on the track that can screw over
