Very good, life changing advice. Applying this as of late in a couple of different aspects of life. I didn't realize for many years these things were distractions and that I could, in fact eliminate them. Once eliminating I have more time for myself to focus on this path. It feels great. Thank you.
I love the going to the dance analogy... :) Very important points on utilizing the technology properly too. Great reminders/talk overall! Very helpful. Thank you! :)
Thanks for another great talk. I love it. No b.s. Also, a good reminder not to shirk responsibilities you cannot change. And of course, the more you meditate, the better you'll be able to handle a 3-year-old during a difficult time.
For me, certain events/moments from my day at work randomly pop in my head or keep replaying themselves over and over in my head, while meditating. I would LOVE to quit work but I can't figure out how to get my bills paid hahaha. But yes, I can imagine a peaceful mind without work :(
My family is always in the mentality of wanting more and not being satisfied with what they have and they tend to get stressed easily. There are petty arguments going on everyday and I find it distracting.
Thanks. Asking myself what most often distracts me, it is planning for the day. I have tried various ways of shutting this down. These thoughts still pop in and out. Any suggestion for what to say to myself?
Plan your day the night before, and really spend some time thinking about it. Or have a pen and paper by your meditation spot and if a persistent idea won't leave you alone take 5 seconds and write it down so you don't feel you have to keep thinking about it to remember. Then move on with your practice.
+Ryan Kurczak please don't, that's you ☺ not meaning any harm, it's very leveling to see, mirroring back as you know. Loving your work, been watching your videos and looking to get your books. Before going ahead with getting involved - Myself had an 'unconventional' mystical Enlightenment, merged in the light and the pure awareness state and sheer bliss has subsided now after a few months. Am feeling Kriya might be the way to fully re-establish my connection to the divine, so again myself can be fully fulfilling loving purpose. Appreciate any directional advice. LOVE & PEACE.
Thank you, for was a good reminder to set my priorities, and keep them front and center.
Thank you.

Well said! Makes sense, in that case, developing your meditation capacity will help you eventually rise above that.
Thanks for another insightful video Ryan. How do you recommend dealing with distracting family members with whom I live with?
Depends on the situation. What's the situation?
My family is always in the mentality of wanting more and not being satisfied with what they have and they tend to get stressed easily. There are petty arguments going on everyday and I find it distracting.
When I had that problem, I endured for as long as necessary, and then I moved out.
i am a smoker, do i need to quit it before start doing kriya yoga??

Freud is aware of that 😊.
Though it looked like you realized, but didn't laugh.
It's true. I thought about editing it out...
