An awesome bright, joyful, acoustic cover of the new international anthem song for God's house worldwide, that everyone will be singing 🎶 everywhere, Amen and thanks be to God for this song written by Phil Wickham.
I never get tired of listening to this song... I listened to it over and over again on my ride home from work for an hour and 15 minutes, and still sung it all afternoon... TOTALLY AWESOME
Thanks Chris! That is funny :). I’ve been using the coaching from The Worship Vocalist for a long time, but that was my first time on one of the live zoom calls. It’s good stuff!
Thanks onzkicg! Part of how I mixed the acoustic that way was by double tracking it and then panning one track hard left and one track hard right. Makes for a nice big full acoustic sound!
Cara. Parabéns (Congratulations) A performance ficou excelente. Espero que um dia Deus te dê a oportunidade de colocar você e o Phill Wickman lado a lado pra cantar. 🇧🇷🙏🏻😉
Praise God for this song. Great voice. Thanks for sharing your talent Sir. Can we used this song coz we're making short film about our church and it's the one that fit so much. About the Christians who are weak in serving the Jesus to remind them to go back to Him and remain faithful even we're sinning against in the sight of God. God Bless -frm philippines
The song isn’t my song, it’s just a cover of Phil Wickham’s, so as far as permissions go, that’s over my head outside of UA-cam, but for my part you are welcome to use my version of this song for your video.
Thanks Dj jenner! At the moment I don’t have any backtracks available but maybe at some point I’ll work on making that a part of my process. Thank you for watching!
Thanks Gabe! Unfortunately I don’t have the stems for this available anywhere right now. I might move towards doing that at some point down the road, but I’ll need to figure out licensing in order to do anything outside of UA-cam since UA-cam handles the licensing for anything I post here.
Unfortunately I don’t have the backing track for this available anywhere at this time. But thank you for watching and taking the time to leave a comment! I appreciate it!
Hi Kenneth Mercado! Thanks for watching! Regarding the strumming, it really changes quite a bit through this song and I don't have it written down. I really do all of my strumming by feel, but almost everything I do is based around the idea of having a really comfortable and smooth 16th pattern (just down up down up down up) again and again, but then pulling my hand back so the pick doesn't hit the strings or muting the strings with my chording hand on some strokes when I want to leave spaces, but my hand is typically still moving in that 16th pattern. A big piece of changing the feel is also choosing wether I'm strumming all the strings each time or only the low strings or only the high strings or sometimes even only playing one string at a time while muting the rest. That's probably not quite what you were looking for with your question, but I hope it's helpful! Thanks for taking the time to comment and ask a question!
It's all pre-produced in Pro Tools. I'm not doing any actual live looping, just playing back from a session that has everything pre-recorded or programed in from the samples I'm using. I think the main drum sound from this song was coming from the Boom plug in in Pro tools with additional hand claps and cymbals that I recorded over top of it.
Thank you! Anyone who uploads cover videos will always have copyright claims on any songs that you haven’t written yourself (unless it’s public domain). A copyright claim doesn’t mean it will be taken down or that anything is wrong, it is just UA-cam detecting copyrighted content and so the owner of the copyright can get a portion of the income from the ads on that video. I haven’t reached 1000 subscribers yet though, so the ads revenue split doesn’t apply to me yet, since I don’t get any ad revenue, but the copyright owner still receives revenue from ads on my videos. Does that make sense?
Hey David, first off, I want to say God bless you and thank you for serving God, and doing these tutorials. I enjoy watching other brothers in the Lord who our worship leaders as I also am. One thing that I would like to point out though in this particular song, is in the bridge.. in the beginning when you’re adding the accents and you’re adding the add9 on the G chord, Phil actually changes it up on this section and he suspends the chord on this accent instead off accenting with the add9. I’ll attach the video of him playing it live and watch on the bridge. You’ll see him doing a suspended 4th not an add9.. not that what you are doing that anybody would know the difference, but since you’re a teacher as well as myself, I thought I should point that out. May God continue to bless you. ua-cam.com/video/0Fid7IAnrcs/v-deo.htmlsi=saPmnrIZhbYPeARf
Hi aby! Good question! I'm using G shapes and that's what you see in the corner with the chord diagrams, but because I'm capo'd at the 3rd fret of the guitar it's actually in the key of Bb. So if you wanted to know the names of the chords you are hearing, you'd go up 3 notes (or half steps) up from each of the chords displayed in the video.
That's awesome! I really like that capo because it was given to me at a small songwriting conference at a studio in Cisco, Texas that Paul Baloche was teaching at. Really enjoyed that conference and the capo is a fun memento from it.
Thanks for watching Ridge! I don’t have any plans to make a tutorial on this song right now. All the chord shapes are in the video though and you can slow it down or pause if you need to learn the shapes.
The eq and compressor on that guitar sound awesome
Makes me want to get up and dance. I love your music David.
Loves your joyful and power!!! God bless!!!

This is soooo underrated!! Praise God!! I’m also trying to do Christian song covers by myself. Any editing tips?
This is great! Do you have the stems for this? We are doing an acoustic worship night and this would be great for it.

Nice cover brother 👏 can I ask what's the strumming pattern you used?

What do you use for your looping and percussion? Just ableton looper or binkbeats more complicated stuff? I’m just getting into the ableton looping
Great job! How do you keep from getting copyright claims?? Every song my husband post automatically gets copyrighted. Not sure what he is doing wrong.

The entire video I was scared the guitar gonna bump the table lol
Lol! Yeah, I didn’t realize how close it was until I was editing the video! Glad I didn’t take a chunk out of the side of my guitar!!
Awesome can u send me the drum track
What model guitar is that? 👀
It's a Taylor 314ce from about 12 years ago (around 2010 I believe). It's double tracked with a Shure SM7b in my office/studio. Thanks for watching!
10k views on one video!!! 👍
Thanks Charles! Now onto the the next one hopefully!

What key is this in?
It’s in the original key that Phil Wickham does Bb, but with the capo on fret 3 using chord shapes in G. Thanks for watching!
is this key G?
Hi aby! Good question! I'm using G shapes and that's what you see in the corner with the chord diagrams, but because I'm capo'd at the 3rd fret of the guitar it's actually in the key of Bb. I know this is random but I have the same capo as you

Can you do a guitar lesson I don’t know the chors
