Cool video! Thanks for posting. And thanks for not messing it up with crappy music!
the new 4runners look amazing! nice ride.. i got an 04' now I want the 10'!
ok I'm sold...this new 4runner is the shit in Trail trim.
Beautiful truck!
nice rig man. i like the tires
Nice 4Runner. I just recently bought mine 2012 right after my last deployment. NO mods yet, however I am looking at getting a suspension lift, and bigger and better tired. I only have the SR5 though, not the trail. I took her out to Lake Morena with my Dad last weekend, and still really impressed, but I know she is capable of more. I will be taking her out to Borrego here soon next month, after i get my lift and tires, and rock sliders.
Not sure why you want to race through the dessert....relax...enjoyyyy the viewwww.
looks sweet!
trawlfaz85 what suspension using? And what mods do you have in the 4runner?
Planning to buy the Trail Edition.
I got the 11 4runner trail. its sick as shit. Just ordered an AFE stage 2 intake and saving for the borla catback. maybe some general tyres after the leveling kit.
The KDSS is nice, on the street, body roll stays flat through corners and etc due to the larger sway bar on the KDSS model vs the non KDSS equipped 4Runners. Off road as you can see from my videos it allows more articulation. It acts like you don't have a sway bar at all. Without KDSS, you would essentially need to get a larger sway bar for on road driving and then remove it all together for offroad driving to get similar performance.
looks great.
Great video. I'm shopping for a 4runner now. It will be a Limited or a Trail Edition. I'm hung up over the KDSS. What do you think of KDSS? How about a full suspension lift w/o KDSS, vs your set up?
what gear did you have it in in the beginning when descending down that range/
What rock rails do you have on your rig?
exhaust sounds exactly like my 4th gen :) i'd so trade it for a TE though.
where did you order your lift from?.. i googled overland warehouse and nothing pops ups but bunch of forums..
You remove the roof rack? Or can you get it like that from the factory
Nice! Is that a full size 285 spare underneath? It fits?
@daltontrum83 I removed the factory roof rack for a Bajarack last year, then sold that bajarack in anticipation for a new flat Utility Bajarack as seen in my other vids.
2:40 what kind of exhaust is that? Sounds great
Magnaflow 18" welded in
I just checked and I guess they closed Tuesday May 15, 2012 due to personal circumstances.
Yea I figured as much...
What's all that clunking going downhil?
Probably crawl control. It's pretty noisy.
Crawl Control is noisy but I think the noise you're hearing is the creaking from the camera tripod as it was being rotated.
trawlfaz85 What did you think of the ride after the lift? I'm buying one of the last new 2013 TE's in Canada. It's being shipped to me because none of the dealers around have any left.
The only toyota id buy. These are the better looking 4runners. The one in the back ground are the ugly front ends.
Why does Toyota keep putting that stupid fake air intake on an otherwise nice looking vehicle?
i hate the stupid hood scoops too.
i personally like the hood scoop, but i understand how some don't, its not standard on all models
i wouldn't mind it if it was functional. i just prefer the form-follows-function school of thought.
ch0bacca i agree, and if you wanted to you can take the filler plate out from under it (at least you can on my 4th gen 4runner) and it would reduce under hood temps... still not an intake but it would help slightly
yeah. my '15 runner doesn't have it but i opted for the 4x4 Sr5. i guess if people really didn't want the TE hood they could find someone to swap with. great vid btw.
