- Cecilia Vicuña is a Chilean poet and artist. Since the late 1960s she has created poems, paintings, sculpture, and film to explore and create alternative systems of knowledge that respect the Indigenous traditions that are a part of her heritage, while finding new ways to form connections with others.
In this film, she talks about her exploration of the quipu, an ancient South American recording and communication system made from knotted threads. As well as the collaboration within her work and our collective responsibility to change destructiveness, injustices and harm.

Cecilia Vicuña you are an incredible human.
If art alone could put things right we'd be fine, wouldn't we💖
Aaaah haaaa , now I can appreciate more fully these beautiful hanging textiles in the Turbine Hall 🎉 ❤
Esta mujer es increíble. Qué gran artista. I saw her work here in Bogota and it was just so amazing. I learn a lot from her.
Cecilia you are GOLD ✨❤️🙏🏽
"Tu rabia es tu oro" ("Your rage is your gold") is such a tremendous saying 💥
Wow, so true. I've found in my own struggles that many of the wrongs, injustices for both myself and others, have always come out in my writing or art, in a positive way. Amazing lady.
