Great video! A great deal of people say that you cannot plant pumpkin seed with these planters, or any others for that matter and I have always knew it was possible. I will doing this trick to mine and then come back and comment how it worked out. Thanks again!
So, I have a 7000 planter. On mine, I have another gear on it to dramatically space out the seed. If I have that, I wouldn't need to cut the fingers, right? Just going through why you'd cut the finger and my guess is that you intentionally want to skip so you get a greater spacing. I could accomplish this with gears. Right? Or, am I missing something?

Do you use cover crops too?

I have been having very bad results with my JD 7000 planting pumpkins. Should I buy a new seed meter? Thanks
Would a microwave seed sensor pickup pumpkin seed
What is your gear setting?
