I really love all your CWT videos! I will hike this trail in less than a month and all your informations are really precious to me! Lots of valuable insights, way more instructive than other videos too "self centered" ;) Thanks a million times
Thank you snowman. I wish you good luck , good weather and a blister free hike. April? Midges probably won't be out so that's good. How long do you have free to complete it in ? Let us know how you get on.
Brings back memories! Also did (part of) the CWT in July 2022. Had to stop in Kinlochewe sadly, so will be back for another go at it! Did the exact same thing at Glomach falls as well😂
I absolutely crapped myself at glomach. I wish I knew the right way. Good luck with the next mission. Will you start from the start or resume from kinlochewe ?
the landlord at the Strathcarron Hotel was super nice and friendly. I also had the haggis...because you just have to when in Scotland😀 Brave call to go round the west side of Beinn Eighe, but it's well worth it.
Torridon is hard going, Hamish Brown said 1 mph is good going in the central concordia. You keep seem to go off piste? Nice v,log,s though, takes me back over 40 yrs.
Hi Niall watching the series again for things I missed first time thru! What was the reason you couldn't get any food at Kintail lodge? I was banking on that!
Hi iain, on the Kintail Lodge website it states it serves food til 9 pm. We got there at 8 pm but the chef had simply had enough and had stopped cooking. There were plenty of people eating delicious looking food and even though we would have spent £40-50 he just said no. We met a guy outside who gave us a lift to Kintail crafts who said that the Kintail Lodge know nothing about tourism and customer service and they make the serving hours up as they go along. If you got there by 7 pm then I think you would be OK especially if you had booked in advance. Our mistake was pitching at Shiel Bridge campsite and chilling for an hour believing we were still in good time.
@@tubbatravels great to know! Thanks Niall. I also wasn't intending to go to Strathcarron but I may do that as the campsite looked great and the food. I think though I would hop on the 7:30 train following morning for a few minutes upto achaschellish to avoid walking on the Rd and then take the coullin pass!
@@FlyingScot do you mean you don't want to take the A890 towards Lair and Craig? And then head north? We went north to ling hut and then around ruadh stac mor to Kinlochewe so I don't know that route. I think you mean the train to Achnashellach which is 8 minutes on the train from Strathcarron or two hours to walk. Use trainline dot com for up to date train info. Your route will be much quicker than our way and would definitely work.
@@tubbatravels yep..that road is very very busy..I know that area pretty well and given the lack of decent camping at Craig I was either going to go direct to Craig and then hitch a lift or take the train to Strathcarron and then return by train the next day to continue. You were brave doing the ling hut route!
The 'fly overs' are done with an ordinance survey subscription. It's cheap about £25 per year I think. Map girl gets a 'what we did' gpx file from her watch or I plot a gpx route and both can be uploaded to 'routes' to the ordinance survey site / app.
Yes Dave, the bag pipe player towards the end incurred a copyright claim so I deleted it quickly changed the music and it is back up now. Thank you for watching.
Hi it’s a new subscriber here. I’m a big fan of watching CWT videos on YT and can confidently say your series is one of the best I’ve seen on here - and I reckon I’ve seen most of them 😆 Really enjoying it - thanks for sharing! ⛰ 🏕 👌🏻

@@tubbatravels I’ll try to do it in 14 days (10-24th April). I’ll let you know once I’m back home 😅
@@snowman8052 nice one.
Lot's of adventure on this episode. The Falls of Glomach are spectacular! Good stuff 👍🍺
Hi Snowy, I've just watched your footage of the falls of Glomach. The best I've seen.
You created absolutely gorgeous content here. This place is magnificent! Watching this just makes me feel somehow relaxed! Well done my friend!
Thank you. I've just watched you Dolomites movie, some stunning work there, incredible. Thank you for your kind words.
Ready for next instalment 👏👏👏

They are a great bunch at the Strathcarron hotel I agree. Yes the views there are superb espescially with the great weather we had.

Sometimes 1 mph is all you can do yes. Thank you nice one.

Another A* Video great content and Videography. Hi AVE to ask how do you do the Map thing at the end off each of your hikes on the Videos?

Cool will look into that thanks 👍
Yeah the map is cool.
When are you bringing out your full hiking music album?? including the CWT rap?
Ha ha , that, is probably the last thing this world needs.
@@tubbatravels haha, maybe not the rap but we enjoy the music made for the vids 😊
Hi guys. I was watching your latest CWT earlier and came back to finish it off and it’s disappeared! 🙁
Yes Dave, the bag pipe player towards the end incurred a copyright claim so I deleted it quickly changed the music and it is back up now. Thank you for watching.
I’ve seen a few videos with people going the wrong path at the falls ☹️
Yep and we certainly did although it looked correct to begin with. Doh. We didn't even see the danger sign that others have shown.

Wow , thank you very much.I have to say I've watched a fair few of them now it's good to see what other people did.
