Great vid thanks man. Moving from commercial construction to service at a hospital this week and I’ll be working on these and doing maintenance on their vav’s and rooftops. Not much service experience but I’ve installed a bunch of VAVs and rooftops, but I’ve never touched an ice machine so this helps a lot.
Glad to hear it. Glad the videos are helpful. Good look in the new line of work. It’s not that hard once you have a basic understanding of the machine. Sequence of Operations is very important.
Thanks for the info your videos are awesome!!!! I take care of this type of machine and the Follett 7 series! You provide nothing but pure quality and great content! Can you do videos on ICETRO counter top machines these units are almost a clone of the Hoshizaki DCM270-BAH-OS machine. We’ll be looking forward to that machine on your videos. Thanks.
I’ll do my best. There’s one of those machines in my shop right now. Just need to find time to complete the service. I’ve never done it before so hopefully it goes smoothly.
Man i remember just getting outta school for 2 year hvac/r classes and my first 6 months I cleaned these on a monthly basis I learned so much . I do a little everything in the field now I’m about a year in a half in and I like light commercial and refrigeration and some industrial. 👏🏽👏🏽 thanks for the vids man
This was the very best directions to cleaning my symphony plus 12 ice machine that I have come across!! I had problems once with the clicker button attached to the bin lid!! Thought it was broke!!! 😢 But alas I eventually(1 yr later...) figured it out!!
Yes that clicker button is a real pain. Struggled with it a couple different times. I’m glad the video was helpful. If you need any other advice feel free to email me. Address is in the channel bio.
Very good video thank you maybe you can come back and show us the coil a little better when it’s open. I know with this one you were stuck with inside a cabinet
There are about 13 of these in this office building and every one of them have clearance issues. I just checked out your channel. I like your style bro.

We use to clean them every 3 months at the hospital. I wish all ice makers had that feature for the cleaning solution.
Does make it easy. These little machines are fun as long as there’s adequate space around the machine.

Thank you. This video was so helpful.
Glad it was helpful!
Only issue I had was trying to get ice bin wheel to pull out. See time stamp 5:10 for piece I am referring to. Felt like it was locked in or something
If you’ve taken out all the screws it should come out. Might just be stuck and need a little motivation.
I have used a nut driver and tapped it out. I have then noticed that when I flip the wheel over, the square is broken or because it was brand new.
Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it. Is there anything I could do better?

I’ll do my best. You’re right about it being a tight fit.

@@IceMachine411 thanks, just picked up 25 of them for a hospital 😬
Great Video. Thank you for sharing
Thank you for watching!
Do you just do one cycle for 20min or should I do 2 cycles?
I usually only run one cycle. If your machine is super dirty or if it doesn’t get cleaned all that often, running two cycles might help.

I like it

You didn't use the sponge...
You are correct. I will be doing some research. I was told a long time ago that the sponges were unnecessary.

The bin mouths get so nasty on these. And so do the evaporator drain pan. Black mold and pink slime. Gets gross.
This is true. Daily cleaning is a must.
lots of misses here
lol. Definitely.
