  • If you use screen mode in Resonite a lot to edit things, there are some improvements that we have planned that should improve the experience a fair amount and bring it more on part with traditional editor tools.

This would be awesome if you can make the inspectors dock and undock between 2D and 3D space turning the Resonite into pseudo Blender.
I have recently gained a lot of experience with Blender and I started learning about it merely 2 weeks ago.

Hmm... in a weird way, could we do this already? Just virtually parent the UI to the camera of the user, or pass canvas information to the user's UI? The latter would be interesting, since you could then keep the in-world UI available for other people to see. A decent chunk of Resonite's dev system is the shared experience, and that includes shared information.

Yes you can! Though not in exactly the same way. One of the MMC24 projects actually did something like this - allowed you to pin an inspector to your desktop view for easy access. Though that did yoink it for everyone else.
With the way we plan to approach this officially, it'll stay wherever it is in the world - it'll just be auto-projected on your screen, regardless of where it is. This way other people can still interact with it.

Ohh yeah that's what my inspector does when I'm in my free cam I can click a purple pin button on my inspector and it will parent the inspector to my view visual to where I can move it around in semi 3D space Where I can duplicate it and scale it and move it around I can even have multiple on my view visual at one time

      @@Frooxius hehe :3
That was an experimental version of the inspector that I use that I mentioned above I don't use the dual inspector though it needs more work personally

Being able to pin inspectors to the 2D viewport would be really handy! I've dabbled a bit with Resonite's tools, and found using the (very VR-focused) Inspector UI a little clunky sometimes.
