Today on The Ranveer Show, we have a very special guest; Smriti Zubin Irani, one of the most inspiring personalities in our nation. She is an Indian politician and former actress, serving as the Minister of Women and Child Development since 2019 and Minister of Minority Affairs since 2022. As a well-known household name ‘Tulsi’ during her media career, she has also made a mark in her political career.
In this episode, Smriti Irani talked about various aspects of her media and political career touching on multiple topics in the conversation. The complete podcast is divided into 2 parts, where in the first part she dwelled upon topics like the New Education Policy, Working with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Role of the Ministry towards the Minority, and the Government’s Vision towards the Future of India.
In the second part of the conversation, she talked more about her personal life and how being a mother affects her emotionally. She touched on a lot of topics in this part like the skills needed to be a politician and how a politician can build good policies. She further talked about the 5 perspectives of her life that made her feel lucky as a person.
This was one of the most special podcasts that I have recorded because Smriti Irani, along with being a great politician, is also acquainted with the world of media, which made it easy for me to connect with her. At first I wanted to comment listening to 1st half that all answers are being given with reference to PM Modi but we wanted to hear about her side. But the 2nd half was very authentic of her and got to know her well.
Especially the last advise just stole my heart - There is one life, live on your terms. I think as a girl, I too experienced being caged with a feeling that I’m a daughter, a sister, will become somebody’s wife… I need to fulfil so and so before I think about myself. But as I grew in spirituality and detachment coming into my being, I felt, how will I ever discover myself with all these labels. I want to craft my own destiny.. let me see wether I succeed or not but I will have the satisfaction of being true to myself and in the process discovering myself. So her feeling resonated with mine and I felt goosebumps 😅

In Modi’s term 1% richest own 40% wealth; 1 in 4 youth are unemployed; India’s global hunger index jumped from 55 to 107. Per capita income fell to $2.1k way below global avg of $13.4k. India’s debt from 1947-2014 was 55 lakh crore. Modi tripled it to 155 lakh crore in 9yrs. To offset this debt poor pay 64% of GST; middle class pays 40%; & people like Adani i.e. top 10% pay just 3%. Good days are only for M0DANI & friends; not for p00r & middle class!

I remeber those days when Smiriti Irani ji was criticised heavily with words like " She is an actor that means a dumb tv star and she is handed with education ministry" With this podcast she proves her position and take her stand through , struggle , knowledge and diplomacy.
