Taku Ito is incredible & after this Sunday’s awesome weigh in and his big win, I knew I had to get him on this week’s show. I hope you enjoy! Please remember to LIKE this video 👍 and subscribe!
The Saint Lawrence tournament was the most exciting most fun Tournament I have seen in almost 40 years of being a fan. Takumi is a great person and an awesome angler. I love your show Dave, and I love that Bassmaster is back and stronger than ever.
Mr. Mercer, Great Podcast. Mr. Ito is a tremendous angler and a wonderful Bassmaster Elite representative. I don't think it could have been a better year for BASS.
Taku is an incredible fisherman and person. His personality and outlook has been another great shot in the arm of the new Bassmaster Elite Pros and the entire tournament trail. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen so many people wait in line for a photo and autograph with the winner after an Elite event. Even while he took a break to interview with the media…for some time…no one in line left…all waited for him to finish and come back. Great interview!
Taku is a great angler and an awesome personality! Enjoy watching him quickly become a very popular angler. But also, this interview is so awesome to hear the type of person BMP is. Not that he wants or needs the recognition. But does it out of the kindness of his heart. Very awesome to hear those kind of stories!
Congratulations to Taku on the win and achieving his life long dream . Taku has become my favorite angler this year . His youthful enthusiasm is infectious . Best interview I have watched with him so far ! Good job Dave ! I wish Taku great success in future Elite Series events . I’m sure , with his dedication to fishing , he will be lifting many more Blue trophies and build up his power !
Amazing interview... it is incredible that this guy is here all by himself and just locked in on his goals! When I met him at Fork my family and I fell in love with him, he is truly a genuine human being, so excited for fishing and life!! My fantasy fishing group were all on messenger going nuts watching the final day on St Lawrence , the was the best weigh-in in Bassmaster history!!!
Great interview Dave! Takumi has amazing focus and drive. Amazing to hear how devoted he really is. Many more wins in his future I am sure. Well Done Dave👍
I'm a lobster fisherman and I live in Nova Scotia Canada and its a dream of mine to go fish in a BASS event, iv fished the ST Lawerence river in lake st Francis which is 17 hours from here in NS. what a awesome place to fish. I fished in a 3 day tournament (formally the Berkley B1 tournament) there, and won with 69 lbs, with 26.6 lbs on day 2. it was a epic day of fishing. it was a awesome experience coming all the way from Nova Scotia to fish there. Hopefully COVID 19 will soon hit the road. id love to get back to Ontario to fish again. awesome show Dave, I always enjoy watching your stuff. Maybe some day ill get to attend a BASS elite event, and have a "YARN"(Conversation) with you , as we would say it here in Nova Scotia !!! All the best
That’s awesome. Hopefully we can all get back to normal soon. I would love to meet you and have a yarn. By the way I know what a yarn is. I was born in Ireland and that term is used there lots lol.
Smallmouth Disneyland, Takumi Ito is becoming my favorite angler, along with Scott Martin, and the Feiderman. Dave great interview, Taku is getting a lot better with his English.
Thank you so much for making such a great video, Dave. I really enjoy watching it so much, and am glad to hear all of them from Japan. Taku is an amazing and interesting guy obviously, and you're definitely incredible interviewer! I appreciate it. I like you, Taku, and BASS. You guys always show me big dream, excitement, and bring me very good feelings, enthusiasm, so I'm into it. Now I can't wait watching elite series in next year!
Great show Dave and CONGRATULATIONS TO TAKUMI ITO!!! I have nothing but respect for Takumi and all of the Japanese angler's that come over here. I can't imagine what it's like to leave everything that you know (family, language, etc) and come to a foreign country to live and chase bass. I have respect for Carl Jocumsen too, but at least he can communicate. I do remember him saying that he had a tournament in Arkansas and couldn't find it on a map. He said that he could find ArkansSAS, but not ArkanSAW. 😂
@@factsoffishing Thanks for having him on. I tweeted you Sunday with the suggestion, so I’ll take credit lol. He’s a breath of fresh air and an inspiration. I really hope he has continued success and can one day get his family over here with him for good. (If they do desire of course).
One of the first time I can say there wasn't a dry eye in the house during that weigh in. Between Seth winning a very well deserved AOY title and Taku winning the tournament. Was quite the emotional experience and I became an instant fan of Taku. It's Taku time!
just another wild finish in smallie country! great interview! i wish i spoke some kind of fish language...sure would help me out on my little kayak tournies
Could you give any tips on how to start tournament fishing with an upcoming guest and also I would like to hear your opinion on growing a channel and how to do so
As much success as Japanese athletes have had this past year, I would love to hear how he feels about how his win ranks. I really wonder how much he is covered by mainstream Japanese media. Great podcast!!
Man Bob Cobb was the best announcer ever in Bass fishing, the guy bassmaster has now is just loud and not funny at all, they need to get BC back. I don't even think the guy they have now is American or bass fishes. It's hard to tell by looking at him on my phone screen. Great podcast dude, I don't know who you are but I'm subscribed now, good job 👍👏
Dave, you sound so different on the podcast compared to when you are on stage. You are controlling your voice so well, I thought your normal voice was always higher and louder. New subscriber from Australia, home of our own Carl Jocumsen.
Thanks for watching Alex, That’s crazy about my voice. It all sounds the same to me but I would assume there would be a difference between a conversation & announcing a winner lol.
@@factsoffishing yes Dave, that was the first thing that came to my mind listening to your podcast. Hmm, Dave sounds very different here... Still love the GGGGGGGGGGiant Bass!
I wanted to see Cory Johnston win so you stop giving him chit. The outcome however is a great story and couldn't have happened to a better person. His personality and excitement is awesome to see. Bassmaster is in good hands with all the upcoming talent. Don't change please.
