You don't need a big saw to cut down a big tree. You just need the education. Nice work.

I've been researching getting a bigger saw this winter. Been really enjoying your videos! I finally settled on a choice; the 572XP. My local dealer's distributor just has a few of them starting to trickle in, and my dealer was able to get one on order for me! Should be here in a couple of days. This will be my first Husky saw, but I haven't been really happy with the last couple of "the other brand" saws I've bought in recent years, so i'm ready to try something else. Wish me luck!

Yup, since I got my 550XPs I rarely pickup my 70cc saw unless its really big stuff or cutting stumps off for grinding.

I have ran the 576xp auto tune saws for about 6 years with no problem at all. I did try 2 different 562xp auto tunes when they first came out and they gave alot of vapor lock problems in warmer weather above 60 degrees or so. They were power houses for their size but you would want to throw them in the trash during hot weather. Husky claims to have the problems in the 562xp corrected now??.. But as far as the 576xp auto tune they are THE TOUGHEST saw I have used in 24 years of commercial logging. And they also cut great with power between a 372xp and a 390xp and their weight also hits between those 2 saws. Bottom line....I agree with your statement....DO NOT fear the auto tune saws....heck, Stihl has fuel injection coming this year that will eliminate chokes and supposedly bring wicked power with super low weight.. saws are evolving!

Good morning. Ya'll I bought a Stihl MS462. Direct competition to the 572 Husky. If I wanted to I can cut at sea level then hop a plane to Denver an go up in the Rockies an drop some wood. My saw will self adjust to climate and elevation I'm in/at. Huskies auto tune works the same way. Hope this helps anyone who reads this. Ya'll be sure to swing by the Tater shop and check it out.

I just cut firewood, but prefer to buy pro stuff for the durability when I can. The last ten years I've been running a ms441c with a 20" bar(keep a 28" bar for bigger stuff) and every year I get older that thing seems to get heavier, lol. Anyway,I found a used husqvarna 550xp for sale for $200 and figured I shouldn't pass it up. Itll take care of all my lighter work and spare my shoulders and back some grief. Habent rabbit more than just to test it,but feels like it's got potential. It's very comfortable in the hand and probably 7 or 8 pounds lighter than my big stihl. Time will tell.

I think you cudda got it wit the milawaukee just sayin 😂. I knew nothing about the five series husky saws, I mostly have and been running echo saws honestly cause my buddy is a dealer, oh and I got the milawaukee top handle and the newer hatchet 18volt. But I ended up ordering me the neo clone of the 543, and I gotta admit, for the smaller of the saws in that class, the thing is actually amazing! each time I use it now which is been twice I’m like laughing cause it’s going thru bigger trees with a 16” bar like my echo Timberwolf 20” 60cc saw and weighs like half as much and the thing was only 130 bucks man come on? It cud fall out my trailer tonight I wud still be happy with it.
I wanna find me the 550xp mark 2 tho and see how she goes so glad to find this video honestly man great job

I suppose it’s what you’re used to felling, as to what you may call big. I’d consider most of those sticks as small-med at best. 28-30” is where big starts; I dare say that if you asked a faller in the PNW, they’d say 30” was small.
The 5s do scream a bit, just as the 346 and 353s did. Pretty similar noise pitch. When the 550XP came out, it was a treat, though they did have hot-start problems. Shortly after Stihl released the MS261-cm, (which had their own problems (they ate clutch bearings)) with more power and slightly lower price. But I reckon the XP MkII range have evened out the game. And of course the 560s have more grunt but you do have the greater weight.

One cool thing, it’s good we have 2 top saw competitors because it just keeps raising the bar for better equipment for us the end user.

Is there a video that explains how you fell trees like you do or a small scale demonstration perhaps. I’ve never seen anything like it and it appears so simple, but I also understand you have been doing this a long time to make it look that easy. I don’t cut a lot of wood as of now I know the basics, but always looking to learn more in case I encounter certain situations that require more than just the basics. You sir are a great one to learn from like the videos like your content always looking forward to your stuff man 👍👍👍👍

I am impressed with the husky 550 + the 572. I would have to run 1 & see for myself. Wore out 1 Sthil 360 & had my new Stihl 361 for 4 + years now. Hard to get me convinced a 50cc engine can out perform a 59cc? All I've ever run is a 20" bar - full chisel chain. I really like my 361 Stihl. That was Perdy. We used to climb with 550xp at Asplundh in Western North Carolina. Why? Stupidity and love for pain by day's end. I don't know why they didn't get a top handle and we asked, begged, They didn't let us. Asplundh said because the climber's duty also included a "nearly equal" amount of groundwork, we would carry only one saw per climber and it was the 550xp. This whole time I've been climbing with a small child strapped to my hips. Turns out, the least money a GF spends throughout a year he gets a percentage of at year-end as a bonus. Ahh yes! Aplsundh, like no other... no one omits logic like those guys. Then a company named MoBrays came on a job one day at lunch and was scouting us. They said to come out to California, and mentioned the pay... we quit that job the next day to work Paradice/Magalia. Living in YUba city for several months sucked. But we damn sure had the very best gear and a lovely top handle. Thank you Mobray's

Husqvarna H 25 is the same chain as Oregon 21 bpx. The X cut, sp33g is a better chain. I have ben using it now for over 2 years on Stihl and Husqvarna saws, the Husqvarna 560 and Stihl 261. Just give the chain a good hook and set the depth gauges on soft. The last 40% or so off the chains life use 4,5 mm file (11/64)
