/ Here it is: my recording of an absolute classic. It's a piano cover of a famous song from the musical "A Little Night Music".
Enjoy!
I had a girlfriend back in the 80's who played this song for me on a cold, rainy day while I laid on the couch. Pure bliss. I made her play it over and over. This version took me right back to that moment. Thank you.
This sounds like a wonderful memory. :)
That's awesome
What a beautiful statement and such a cherished memory. It goes hand in hand with Beethoven’s moonlight sonata.
My mom passed away in October in 2019 from cancer (she was only 50). She played a series of songs to me growing up, and this is one of the richest ones I can still hear her voice through the music. Thank you for this.
That's young....my mom is 79 and doing fine 🙂
@@SUGAR_XYLER what kind of reply is that, how insensitive and unaware can you be.
This pianist performed this beautiful music to perfection. Absolutely sensitive timing, a soft touch and he dedicated his talent to this favorite of mine. Splendid. The best rendition I have heard on a piano, save Stephen Sondheim. So very beautiful. This is played with such a passion for all that is beautiful in the world of music. BRAVO! Thank you so much for sharing your magnificent rendition.
This is without a doubt the most beautiful interpretation of this song I have ever heard, vocally or instrumentally! Such pathos! Such introspection! Highly emotional. Skillfully executed! Thank you.... Tom
The best piano version so far (my opinion).
I felt every beat of the story through the piano, even without words. Aching, yearning, tragic, beautiful. This is an exquisite performance.
This is the only piece I ever completely flubbed at a piano recital when I was a kid. I'm determined to re-learn it and get it right this time.
Fabulous version. Really beautiful and heart felt.
Just *wonderful*! sigh...You play this as though you wrote it yourself, Stephan. One's heart can only follow helplessly, sadly and wistfully through all the emotional layers of this song. More beautiful than I've ever heard this played or performed, instrumentally or vocally. Thank your for sharing this. Two thumbs up from me..... Sandi
Gingerly550 Thank you so much, Sandi! Yes, I love to play this very softly, it's a song full of emotions.
Very very nice playing and what an awesome song. Well done my friend.
Your music is beautiful. Thank you for sharing it.
Just beautiful. Brings tears to my eyes every time I listen to it.
Wow. What beauty. Thank you for the gift.
Hello, i totally agree that this cover was Great. Very well played with a lot of feeling and a Great tone from The piano. "Send in The clowns" is one of my favourites songs and is very touching composed.

Can't help but get teary-eyed every time I listen to this. Beautiful rendition.
Wonderful. Thank you for this.
Truly inspiring and beautifully played.
Sublime....as beautiful as a dark candle lit night 🕯
Beautifully played with such lovely emotion. Stephen Sondheim would be so pleased. Gentle, graceful and gorgeous performance.
Nicely done….Beautiful song...
Isn't it rich, are we a pair
Me here at last on the ground
You in mid-air
Send in the clowns
Isn't it bliss, don't you approve
One who keeps tearing around
One who can't move
Where are the clowns
Send in the clowns
Just when I'd stopped opening doors
Finally knowing the one that I wanted was yours
Making my entrance again with my usual flair
Sure of my lines
No one is there
Don't you love a farce,
My fault I fear,
I thought that you'd want what I want
Sorry my dear!
But where are the clowns
There ought to be clowns
Quick send in the clowns
What a surprise,
Who could foresee?
I'd come to feel about you
What you felt about me?
Why only now when I see
That you've drifted away?
What a surprise...
What a cliche...
Isn't it rich, isn't it queer
Losing my timing this late in my career
And where are the clowns
Quick send in the clowns
Don't bother, they're here
Wouw-
Gorgeous.
Just Beautiful
Lots of emotions, makes one embarked on a nostalgic journey ❤
Lovely!
This is one of the best performances/interpretations of this piece I’ve heard. Thank you!

You have a true gift.
Fine score and a fine performance
Beautiful! Bravo!

Very nice playing like always !
I wish you a very great new week !

Very nicely done. I'm learning this now and it takes me a couple months to get something like this down. I often find it useful to see a version of a song I want to learn and yours is the best on UA-cam. I won't sound like you, but I have something to strive for.
Beautiful :)
Very very beautiful
Beautiful
Brava! 👏👏👏
Tonya’s Harding program brought me here. She used to perform to this piece. Thank you, makes me nostalgic.
beautifully played with true musical sensistivity it has made me want to play again I retired as a pro musician many years ago now I have started playing again thanks to you so happy and what a lovely piano sound for a digital keyboard what model is it as my piano is always out of tune Bruce
The first song I ever learnt on the piano and relatively easy to play in E flat, Still love it. For all you budding pianists out there it is within your reach
Beautiful, hope you don't mind but i have used it in my cover of this song and credited you. Perfect rendition of one of my favorite songs :-D xx
Beautiful!!! I hadn't found a nice instrumental interpretation to sing with until yours! I hope you don´t mind if I use it for an audition, this was one of the first songs of musical theater that I sang, THANK YOU!
