Hi, I wonder how likely is it for a bear to show up? Iam planning to ride my bicycle all across Finnland and Norway but I am scared of any taller animals than cows! :D
Hi Andreas, sounds like an amazing trip! I would say it is more likely you see reindeer and moose than bear. I wouldn't bet on that you would see any bear at all. If you do, consider yourself lucky 😊 Also, the bears are not taller than cows, so you are safe 😅
@@VahidCullsberg how about elk or moose? Wolves? What creepy sounds do you hear at night? 😀 I really want to see moose or elk. But not in a safari tour with everyone killing their own cameras haha. Thann you so much. Keep up the great job! Should you ever consider hiking in Austria I can share the most secret and beautiful places I know but that don't get covered by mass media. Cheers!
@@VahidCullsberg also what I wonder: how do you manage to record such lonh videos at a time during a tour without running out of power/space? Let's say you're 10 days without access to civilisation in remote places without cellular/internet, power outlets. Wouldn't that require a whole lot of powerbanks and memory cards? Meaning lots of weight? Do you catch fish sometimes during your hikes? What do you eat during your hikes? Do you need to purify water found in streams and lakes? I assume that norwegian and finnish water is quite clean? Thank you so much! As said, if you ever need info about Austria feel free to ask me any time!
@@andreashoppe1969 When we say moose for us is the same as elk. In Swedish it's älg which I guess is closer to the english elk. But for us it's the same animal. I think it is very likelly that you will see one on your bike trip. Moose/elk and rowdeer. And as further north you travel, you will also see reindeer. Another common animal you are likely to see is the red fox. I don't think you will meet any wolf or bear as they are pretty shy and would just go away once they smell you. We don't have that many wolves. At night, you are most likely to hear bird songs, especially the magpie. Sometimes you might hear an owl or the cuckoo bird from a distance. If you camp by a lake you might hear the loon. Thank you very much for your kind offer! I will definitely take you up on that if we plan a visit :)
@@andreashoppe1969 Battery power and memory cards is absolutely an issue. I haven't been on a trip longer than 3-4 days. For those I usually bring extra powerbanks. I like the small sized power banks that are just small enough to put on a key ring. They usually charge my phone 1,5 times. (o yeah, I film with my samsung s9) I have 4 of those battery banks. After 3-4 days, I still have some power left in a charger. I like them because they are light and can be plugged on the phone while filming if I need to charge. They are light enough to just hang on the phone while the phone is filming on the tripod. Also, I mostly film short clips of 6-10 seconds each time if possible. I always keep my phone on flightmode to save battery. If I would go on a longer trip say 10 days I would absolutely look into getting a small but powerful powerbank. I haven't done much research about powerbanks but from what I have learned is that most of them that are affordable, they charge your phone 4-5 times. For me they are too heavy to be plugged on the phone while filming. And also, 3-4 of those small key ring powerbanks = 1 big powerbank and for a fraction of the price. My memory card size is 64gb. So far it's been great. In the begining I would film for longer periods but I would have battery problems. That's why I now plan my shots for 6-10 seconds at a time. Yes, I do catch fish on my hikes :) If budget was not an issue, I would buy ready made dehydrated food so I always have with me. I think nowawadays they are quite tasty and a great way to carry food for long periods combined with the small weight they have. Some hikers dehydrate their own meat, weather its big chunks of it or minced meat. They spread the minced meat in the oven on the lowest heat for many hours, even overnight. Up here in the north (arctic circle) you can drink directly from the streams, rivers and lakes. I have never needed to boil the water. Note, I would NOT drink the water from the Ounasjoki or Kemijoki here in Rovaniemi without first treating it.
Hi Kevin, if you mean in terms of wild animals than yes, it is absolutely safe. But if you have a psykopath friend who suggests you head out on an overnighter together...then better stay home 😅

Forest at finland is that safe for overnight?

Was that a real ”kelo” what you took down?
It was a small dead tree.
Can you do it in winter
Hi Akseli, I'm sure you can if you have a good warm sleeping bag 👍
A healty breakfast bro :-)
It was very nice
are there bears in your region?
Not here where we live in northern Finland. But there are around our cabin in northern Sweden.
your camera sucks but your videos are awesome !!!
🤣 Yes, my camera sucks. I'm just using my phone. I hope to save up for an actual camera. Thanks for watching and for your kind comment.
Vahid Cullsberg I am going to watch all your vids
Love your enthusiasm and motivation 😊 I hope you like them
