Yes! We GEL! That's why I enjoy watching you get excited about songs that I know you're going to be excited about!!! Here are a few things that I recommend... "Bring Him Home"- Austin live in concert. "Hillbilly Bone", "Good Old Country Harmony"- original and "Fishing in the Dark". Of course, you know you can't go wrong with any of their songs, but these are some great ones!!! Enjoy!
This video is incredible! If you did not notice, go back and watch again and realize it is done IN A SINGLE SHOT!!! Of course they are synching, but the coordination there is incredible! Now I look down and see this several time in the comments already. Oh well. Glad to hear you are branching out!
I’m knew to your channel and love it. I love home free and all types of music in general. Your reactions are priceless and spot on. I grew up with 50’s and 60’s. Both of my parents were from the south, so country music was always on the radio. Keep up with your honest feelings and reactions to music.
I just what you to know I love the way you give a reaction I have listen to many and some are so bad that I can not listen to them even finish the song So thank you so much for your honest and your love of music
▶BTW, the couple is 2/3 of FifGen Films who film many of Home Free's vids & it was 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💜 Tim's part!!🔥🔥..I agree about sampling without giving credit, but paying homage..There are only so many notes, too..Love you!!💜
FIRE!!! You never cease to amuse me and make me laugh.I love your reactions. About the chords, yeah, I've seen a few guys playing dozens of songs, just to prove that point. I see nothing wrong with that, as long as the songs are telling different stories. Anyway, Thank you for another great reaction.
Great reaction as always! I gel with Home Free everyday! I have a question....do you do commercials? Just heard the Arbys 2 for 6 commercial....the voice sure sounded like you! Just checking!
Yay! 🥰 Been waiting on this one! ❤🔥❤🔥❤ Great reaction! 😂😂😂 I adore you! Tim in this song just mmm hmm, gorgeous tone! Did not know about Ed being accused of that. Interesting factoid. Thanks Michael. ❤
Love your expressions to the acting drama in this. I gotta tell you I accidentally inhaled my drink and choked a little because you gave me a good laugh.
My fav part of this reaction is when I saw that you had just plain fallen into the song. Hard not to do with the talent and professionalism of this group. Just outstanding.
I absolutely agree with you about everything you said about chord progressions and how so many songs sounding similar. I csn’t imagine how many “waste of time’ lawsuits” have been filed over the decades because of that issue. I didn’t take music theory or anything, but I know what you mean. As far as this video is concerned, I loved your reaction aftwards!! lol I just saw them in Texas over a week ago and they are such professionals at what they do!! They’re so precise, even live!! I hope you get the opportunity to see them live. They are phenominal! It is an experience that you never forget. They always leave their fans wanting more and you want to see them over and over again. I am gellin’ with you, fellow Home Fry!! Thank you for this video!!
Dude, you are spot on. Anyone that does anything musically know that past influences drive current performances. Eric Clapton>Eddie VanHalen, Chuck Berry>Angus Young, etc. Most of this garbage comes from record label lawyers.
Thank you my brother. This group is amazing. NO NEW NOTES!!!! Exactly. Sampling in the early days was stolen music without attribution. HOME FREE , CHRIS STAPLETON are for REAL!!!
A little snippet - that trumpet sound that Tim does at the beginning, the first time they performed this live, he said that he had just been playing around in the studio, and forgot he'd have to do it in front of an audience... He hesitated a bit, but then nailed it first time. The others have already told you about the Hound and the Fox, a lovely couple with very sweet music. Home Free are definitely fans of Ed Sheeran - they also did a great version of Castle on the Hill. I really love the live version, where Tim explains how they use a loop station live on stage to add some extra background, it would be wonderful if you could react to that.
This video by Home Free of these two songs was actually released a few months before the accusations about the songs being too similar. Thank you for you reaction!!! I really enjoy watching your honest reactions to Home Free!
You are I think a genuine reactor and I think that's why you get so many good comments many thanks for 2019 and the continued success you really deserve in 2020 and beyond
🔥 🔥 🔥 You are amazing. Your wit and facial expressions are why I enjoy watching your reaction videos. Home Free are my favorite ones - I am 💯% a dedicates Home Fry. I have listened to some of your other reaction as well and enjoy them too. Keep doing you dude!!! I do have a couple of suggestions one is Ment To Be - Home Free with Lisa Cimarelli and the other is Hurt by Johnny Cash. I don’t think you will be disappointed. Enjoy
I knew the DramaSyd "FIRE!!!" alarm was coming! So good! I agree Home Free & Ed Sheeran are paying homage! Can't wait for more "gelling" with Home Free!
Just for something different, you might like to check out Home Free singing “Bring Him Home” from Les Miserables. They used to do this after Adam’s beatbox solo to give him a break. Austin is singing the lead. He does have a serious background if classical and musical theater. He worked very hard to sing without his southern Georgia accent. When he joined Home Free as country group, Tim said “all that went right out the window”! Here is a link. ua-cam.com/video/FAarrEj4or8/v-deo.html
Great reaction, Drama! "FIRE, FIRE, FIRE" with the perfect look on your face as you said it. I totally agree, it is OK to "cover" because you have the integrity to ask for permission and/or state you are covering such & such band. I feel this is most certainly applicable when it pretty much word for word & note for note. But when music just sounds similar how in the HELL do you say it is stealing? Like you said chords & notes WILL ALWAYS sound the same no matter who plays them. And there are only a finite number of notes & chords to be played, so you WILL get similarity. Loved your passion on this topic. A lot of people will hear what they want to hear when listening to someone & selectively "miss" the key words of meaning in a statement.
The young couple here, The Hound + The Fox , have their own rendition of Let's Get it On out. It's a cute video where they are getting ready for the date they are on for THIS video. It's worth reacting to. Love Tim's range in this one. Thank you! ^_^
Oh my gosh...I have been watching HF for a while now and have seen this video a handful of times and never realized the couple here was the hound and the fox. They have collab with HF members. Thank you for sharing that fact.
@@charlottebailey1024 Yes it can take a little while to realize who they are. They actually appear in a few others videos, but they were actually 2 parts of the music production company fifgen that filmed a number of Home Free's early videos around the time they started The Hound + The Fox.
The lawsuit reminded me of when Percy Sledge took The late Tommy Page, Jordan Knight and Danny Wood to court accusing the trio of stealing elements from his song for the trio's I'll be your everything. The lawsuit was later dismissed.
I love your reactions, especially to Home Free. Another great one to listen to, especially for the harmonies, is their cover of Helplessly Hoping. Another good one for the bass that I know you like, is their cover of Scotty McCreery's - Feelin' It. Just a couple of suggestions, but look forward to your reactions every time. Also looking forward to your pod cast.
Love your reactions, and I love Home Free. As for people stealing music, there are a finite number of chords, and of course the combinations there of are going to end up being duplicated or be similar. Doesn't mean there is a plan to copy, but we always have bits of tunes (or art, or designs) stuck in our heads, so a bit of it seeping into our creations is inevitable. There is a difference between blatantly taking something and claiming it as their own. But it is true these two songs do blend and fit very nicely. :)
I don't really follow Ed Sheeran, but I do know that song and it doesn't have anything that would make me think he ripped it directly off. That's a very popular blues progression and gets used a lot especially in older motown stuff. That's why a lot of it's easy to play at an open jam. Any popular progression, a good musician will pick up and it still fits the vocal. just FYI for anyone stopping through :)
I thought you would like this one when you got to it. That was shot in one take which you probably noticed. I am way behind on my reaction viewing, but I usually stop for HF when they pop up. Hopefully I will have some time to binge watch both your channels soon. Btw, I distinctly remember your first couple Elvis reactions and you did not say that Elvis stole music, he covered songs like many artists do.
Whether or not you react to it, I think you might enjoy watching and listening to the the "pair" for this video, by The Hound + The Fox (Reilly and Mckenzie Zamber, who also were FifGen Films, which produced Home Free's video). In the description to their own video, filmed as the preparation for a date, they acknowledge this video from Home Free, as they continued their roles as the soon-to-be-out-on-a-date couple into the couple actually out on the date in the Home Free video. Reilly and McKenzie still collaborate (now that they are recording artists on their own) with the members of Home Free on many special videos. You can check out those, on The Hound + The Fox's UA-cam Channel. Go, Michael! :-D
I love when people hear what they want to hear. NOT! I wish people would listen better, but they don't. Drives me nuts. Yes, a lot of music can sound similar, but that doesn't meant they "stole" it. It means they were inspired by it. I never heard you say Elvis stole music, but I did hear that you said other people told you that. Hearing....some people hear well and other's hear what they want. Great reaction and loved this one.
"We gell" 👏 As a classically trained singer and having study theory, I totally understand and agree. I personally also like metal and heavy metal because the instrumentation is deeply seated in classical chord progressions, riffs, motifs, and ABA format. It makes "sense" to my ears. Good theory explains why composers and song writers use common motifs and progressions. In the end, music is all numbers and just like there are correct math equations, there are correct music equations. Music "equations" that are incorrect are non enjoyable to listen to, have awkward transitions, and to put in bluntly- aren't memorable. As far as Eminem (whose musicality I appreciate), I can tell you there are classical motifs and riffs that he uses. As far as Ed Sheeran, he is using classical blues chord progressions and motifs. I LOATHE when non musicians try to go beyond music appreciation and start "critquing" music. That's like someone who can only cook stove top mac and cheese going into a 5 star restaurant and saying the pasta is undercooked (because it isn't mushy.) 🙄 Nice reaction as always! You tell "em! ☺️

Thanks so much for the highlight and if possible could you maybe consider a song of Marvin with Kim Weston/Funk Brothers. Let's say "It Takes Two"?
For your own enjoyment watch the Morrison, IL video when Tim blows out the speakers.
Thank you for sharing this. I would love it if you would react to Bring Him Home.
