What can I say? Brian is holding up damn good tbdm vocals. Honoring Trevor's legacy completely. Ryan and Brandon together are fucking insane, max bass lines always in point. Pookake drums amazing as always. Thank you dudes for keeping this magnificent band together against all odds.
It’s amazing how Brian captured the soul of Trevor’s vocals but still maintaining his own style. RIP Trevor, I am sure you are raging to this in the afterlife.
I often wonder if Brian gets the credit that he deserves. You've heard him on every single TBDM album, and it took me seeing them live to realize just how much he did with Trevor when they played live
I was just going to comment "this sure is The Black Dahlia Murder" but didn't know how to phrase it respectfully. this is some opf the first of Brian's singing that I've had the opportunity to hear him do for da Murder
Yeah I loved that. Adds a nice touch of authenticity. I'm so nostalgic for actually watching music videos on TV. Seems like forever ago that that was a thing :(
The day I found out Trevor passed I shed real tears like a friend had died. I saw dahlia live now 7 times and spoke to Trevor about things like ghost busters and comic con conventions. He wasn’t just a musician he was a solid dude with a huge heart and care for the fans! Awesome for the band to keep the legacy alive! It’s what he would want.
Didn't realize how much I'd missed Ryan's lead and rhythm writing until this banger dropped. His return truly makes the band shine brighter than ever. The lads are in rare form- this album is going to be incredible.
Having Brandon Ellis and Ryan Knight in the same band is damn near criminal lol!! Dammit they rip shit up... so glad Brian took the reigns and continued the Dahlia. He's doing a fuggin fine job! RIP Trevor Strnad! TBDM forever 🤘
Ryan starts the solo, then Brandon plays the sexy part, and Ryan comes back for the last arpeggio and last run. They didn't try to out-shred each other, they wrote things that work with each song and it's fantastic. Cheers from France! 🍻
It’s crazy how they never let down and their songs are always super catchy. I won’t lie I was scared about the bands future when Trevor died but I can tell with the new songs shown so far there is nothing to fear.
So glad Black Dahlia is still killing it. I was so worried that Trevor's death would be the end of this band. Glad to see it it's still as good as ever!
I’m so glad I’m the only one. I sometimes imagine plopping the literal raw saxophone lead file on top of the rhythm track of that section. I don’t take life seriously enough for the similarity to detract from the song tho haha.
Trevor would be so fucking proud! Brian is doing a great job, retaining some of the character of Trevor's vocals while still giving them a personal flair. Can't wait to catch you guys on the road!
Really digging this. Reminds a bit of Job For A Cowboys Jonny Davy, but still comes really up with Trevors legacy. Great instrumental again! Stoked for the album
RIP Trevor, when we lost him I thought TBDM shouldnt continue. But seeing his best friend and bandmate turn to lead vox is admirable to say the least. Brian has improved so much vocally over these last cpl years. And this is the best guitar duo the band has ever had. Beyond stoked for the new album. 🤘
Brian does really well at singing but Ryan was by far there best guitarist so happy hes back. I was so upset when he left. Ritual was their best album and is my favorite. I will return is the best black dahlia song not to mention my favorite song of all time.
Hes great but skill wise Ellis destroys him lol I really like Knights leads like the chorus for Vines on everblack but his bluesy chromatic stuff takes me out of a lot of their songs. It doesnt fit imo
This might be my favorite song from them yet. Everything is so good. Cant wait to hear the new album in its entirety. The song writing and lyrics are so good on the new tracks
Brian, you're great at vocals. You're only going to get better. Going to miss you on guitar. I'm sure you're still writing a lot of the guitar parts though. Thanks for starting TBDM back up and keeping the members and music all original.
Estbauch is Killing it, period. At first listen to his vocals I wanted to hear Trevor, but you can't do that. Trevor was a prodigy if you will. Brian is clearly handling things. I love that they kept it in-house. And he still contributes crazy riffs I'm sure.
I gotta say man... Brian.. You are doing a damn good job stepping up and doing vocals. I can't wait for the record. I live in tbilisi georgia (the country georgia) now. I hope yall come out this way.
Brian Eschbach did say this whole song was inspired by a scene in a movie, so if they did a whole movie about the band surviving every song topic they write about on the album I think it could actually be pulled off well lol.
love the song + the riffs are so sick, but the mixing is so bad :( really disappointed that dahlia has two of the sickest guitarists and someone decided to bury them in the mix to the point they're nearly inaudible
The next time I see them live, I hope there are certain parts of certain songs where Brian will start playing rhythm while Brandon & Ryan are doing duel solos
ZERO disrespect too Trevor he was. Is. And always will be the G.O.A.T! But Brian's vocals are super fucking sick! I love how raw they are! On top of the fact that this is the best material the band has put out period

He'll never be Trevor, but I agree that he keeps the same feel. Trevor had more range, though imo.
Lol, he sounds nothing like trevor. He sounds more like Tomas Lindbergh.

I noticed that too. Good tuch by them. We never see that anymore
lol
Yeah I loved that. Adds a nice touch of authenticity. I'm so nostalgic for actually watching music videos on TV. Seems like forever ago that that was a thing :(
I mean, no one could ever truly *replace* Trevor in TBDM. It's just impossible.
But this is quite literally the next best thing, and I'm here for it.
Totally agree bro .
*FIRE* Trevor is smiling ❤️💯

Love the guitar harmonies of Brandon and Ryan so much, the animation is really cool and fits the tone really well.
Having Brandon and Ryan working together is a great thing for all guitar nerds like myself. I'm really looking forward to this record coming out!
I love that they didn't bring anyone else in on vocals... and Brian absolutely killed it 💪 💪

wow the style and riffs are fucking insane, it's crazy how they can continue to be fresh like this and still be within TBDM's sound
I love this groovy and slower Black Dahlia more than anything else
I don't know why or how but that solo got some Careless Whisper vibes. Absolute monster of a track.
Was exactly the same thought I had
Well, I am never going to unhear that
Lol 😂@@originalkulaid

I am super happy with Brians voice, and extremely happy with Brandon / Ryan guitar duo. Never been this exited for a new record from any band

I love how prevalent 80s metal is in Brandon’s solos. 🤘🏽👌🏽
I think that's Ryan you talkin bout
Definitely Ryan solo. Also he wrote this one. It was in a q&a with Brian on their website.
@@BackflipsBenIt’s gotta be Brandon in the beginning
He totally evokes the spirit of Andy LaRoque, who is still alive but probably ok with lending it to such a goated guitarist.
It's Ryan-Brandon-Ryan. Ellis plays the part in the middle with the whammy bar dips, everything else is Ryan Knight
That's gotta be one of the best guitar solos I've ever heard
That a Ryan solo in the middle? It sounds fantastic.
Ryan starts the solo, then Brandon plays the sexy part, and Ryan comes back for the last arpeggio and last run.

Extraordinary line up with Ryan's return.
