Can you guys imagine if that dam is full and there is an earthquake? If that damn were to break that water rushing down at such great height would have built up enough force to flush that part of India out to sea.
Dams beyond a certain size are so large that they will block the water themselves even when collapsed. The 3-gorges dam for example will turn into a natural barrier if it ever collapses, so the water release won't be as violent as expected.
If you have difficulty getting to the sea, that would help bring the sea to you.

60GW is like 25 tehri dams at one place for electricity generation. TEHRI DAM has a capacity of 2400MW including koteshwar dam but this is like OMG. 2000m of down fall i mean i have seen water upto 800m and i was aw struck by that.

One question, with the addition of so much concrete and the Watertown be held behind it, going to creat problems as they almost had last year with the 3 Gorges dam almost breaking. All that weight can cause issues with so much weight being put into one place on this big blue ball , will it cause the planet to shift its position??
You were getting to a good point until you said the last question, which was totally absurd, but you are not completely off the mark. There is something called reservoir induced seismicity, that is the weight of water in reservoirs eventually causing minor earthquakes, which in a tectonically active region will obviously result in a calamitous earthquake, and the most important thing would be the human casualty of people living downstream, which China is totally not bothered about because they are all Indians downstream. The planet won't shift positions just because weight in some place changed, because of something called isostasy, by which the earth will compensate and stabilize based on the change. However, this river is the source of Sundarban delta and all the ecosystem surrounding it which is a huge active carbon sink. When the freshwater drainage is cut off, the seawater will intrude and the delta will sink. The sundarbans are the economic backbone of Bangladesh, it can cause seriously distress there as well. This whole project is a weapon as well as an ecological disaster in the making.

Earthquakes just don't cause axis shift. The axis has always shifted and it periodically flips all the time (geologically). If you want to know more about how polar axes shift read up on paleomagnetism. Earthquakes happen due to movements of lithosphere. A crack in an eggshell won't cause it's yolks to flip, would it? An earthquake is technically just a crack in Earth's outer shell

India did the same with Bangladesh. They made two dams on two of the most important rivers of Bangladesh just kilometers away from Bangladeshi border. These then caused massive floods in rainy season and sever draught in winter. People of Bangladesh did hundreds of protests against it but they didn't hear. Now they are getting the same and equal retreat from China. History repeats!

This story of China creating dam on river source of India, sounds very similar to what India creating dam(s) on river sources for Pakistan.
India has been very lenient but typical mullah mindset known and understands only one langauge- that is of strictness.
India gave it's own share of river flow to Pakistan and Pakistan has been thankless.

Since the past month, there has been increase in number of small and medium earthquakes in Assam and other NE states of India.
Now imagine if the dam construction at such seismically sensitive zones is a good idea or not. China is weaponizing Brahmaputra. They have already built more than 5 dams on it. On Indian side we don't even have a 4lane bridge over it.
Should start investing on these infrastructures then. China should be more than ready to help.

I live in Mymensingh, Bangladesh (🇧🇩). Just by the side of the river Brahmaputra. For ages, this river has been a great support for the livelihood of the people of this area. But for last decades, the waterflow has been decreasing. Now the river barely contains enough water for fishing (sufficient) and transportation through it. The river is already in a very bad state. If this dam is built, the river would be nearly wiped out.
This would create concern not only for the fishermen but also for the farmers. The farmlands which are situated beside the river, will dry us. Those will loose moisture and go infertile to a great extend (if not entirely) This would be nothing less than a disaster for us.

It will be a power producing dam, not a water holding dam. Imagine a really long straw through the mountain with generators embedded into the straw at regular intervals.
It does not "hold back" any significant amount of water, but what will happen is that the water coming out of the end will be colder, as it will no longer travel around the bend. It will still be above freezing of course, as it needs to flow to generate power. Whatever the straw does not use, will simply continue around the bend as normal. There is no "holding back water" in this configuration.
