- CeX are paying amount bigger sums then usual for PS1 games and calculators, time to take advantage!
In this week's episode, Ed has a stack of PS1 games, a Switch game and a calculator to take down to CeX to get some cash and trade value, how much will they make?
We meet up with channel regular Bargain Ben to hunt for some more trade fodder at some charities and second hand shops, will we be able to add to the trade pot?

Charity shops more and more most of them send all the good stuff to a central warehouse where it is then maximised profit ie ebay etc. Its why you never find much good stuff thesedays. They will probably cotton on with the games now. Independant and smaller chairty shops are still where the gold is but the big ones never anything good for me because of this.
Yep good points made. I pass a few charities on the way to CeX hence why I always stop in, never know

I have a boxed copy on N64 so was happy to part with it. Good for a laugh for sure!
Ed get a magic eraser and a bit of water and that pen mark will come right off.
I got it with some isopropyl alcohol but nice one bruvah see you when the season starts 👍🏼

im surprised how many ps1 games are not listed on the cex site i checked over the last month.
Yeah a fair chunk of the PS1 library isn't on the CeX website

CES are a pain ,i took in a load of my collection cos basically i need the money and they refused my joytech 8" lcd screen for the ps2 cos theres no remote ! what a crock but all in all got just over £200 with some nice title games including Resident evil 1 and 2 for the ps1 and Silent hill 2 for the ps2
Still not too bad, yeah they want monitors etc complete
The 3d all stars game has gone crazy in price, but that's what happens when there is a limited supply now

It's always store dependent on if a store takes a game or not. I went to a store that I knew had a copy of Metal Gear solid VR Missions but their copy had a dodgy hinge. It was warped so that it didn't sit in the little hole properly. Plus one of the discs wouldn't sit in the slit either.
Yeah that is true about which store you use, however so your back is covered your better off having it in good condition
Honestly find it rich how they’re complaining about a minor hinge issue with a game case when they sent me a Saturn game literally falling apart and being held together with crappy sellotape! Nice buys and finds.

Nope, if its not on their system they won't buy it. Plenty of games not on their system, not just from PS1 either.

Found a nice Casio FX-CG20 graphing calculator in a leather case at a bootsale should get £30 voucher for it🤘

Just swap your case with one game your keeping that ain't worth much and surely you can get the pen off using some swabs with some sort of cleaner ect
Funny thing is I actually did, and the hinge broke in transit lol

Hi ed hope your doing well! That mario switch game is good! I found that in the charity shop last year and I left it behind as they wanted £30 and it was to much for me to invest in and I didn't have a switch at the time now I regret not buying it as it looks like the value has gone up on cex! Online says £37 cash isk why u got £34🤔
Did find 5 psp games for £1 each which was good most have the manuals and the gta map! Also the best game was star ocean on psp a £20 game. Havnt got a psp yet so debating on starting a psp collection or selling them😂😂.
I did find some ps1 games for the first time but all scratched up!😢

Abit random but I’ve never traded in for voucher before so not sure how that works, do you need to keep hold of the receipts or is the balance stored on the account? and do the vouchers expire lol
Can’t keep trading in for cash getting pennies in comparison
They ask you, you can either have a printed receipt or emailed to you. If you lose the physical receipt it doesn't stay on account. So emailed prob better
If I was to trade in £20 of games then buy a £15 game the next day with the voucher, will I lose the remaining £5 credit

Thing I love about charity shops is the excitement of stumbling upon something I have been on the look out for to add to my collection! Have no interest in buying to flip personally but can understand those who do!

Yeah I had one with awful pen marks and white spirt got it off and they took the calculator 👍

ohh haha I saw the charity shop then woolwich and was like no way! top tip though that first charity shop regularly gets games dropped in so worth visiting again@@EdHunts
