    Sir salamat sa lecture, question lang po 17:00 bakit po ba yung x distance mo from point E to point C ay hindi (x-6) hindi ba midspan yung E?

      it's because that distance x-4 is from the cutting section to point B, being the starting point of the uniform load. Notice that there is no change in load from B to C therefore the equation of moment eill not chnage if you consider B to E and E to C... they only differ sa limits...

    Hello Sir, for example 2 may i know why we need 4 segments? if we have UDL we need to divide those UDL section into 2?

      oroginall, there are 3 segments...and you will stck to that number if the required quantity is slope of A, B, C and D or deflections of B and C....but what is asked is midspan deflection so you have to create an additional point because the equations for "M" and "m" ia different from B to C...

      @@besfrenjohny may I confirm that whether we move the cut position to analyse the longer length, or the cut will remain at its position but we just extend the segment to the desired length?

      dili pwd virtual work pg max .deflection...pwd ra DIM....just equate slope to zero to locate the lowest point...once makuha ang "x", substitute ra nimo sa equation....just see my video sa DIM..

      you just sum up moment about point C (roller support). you will get 8/5...and then sum up force along the vertical to get 3/5 downward.

      sorry....typo error....it's actually moment about A (not C) and then the sign of 240(6)(7) should have been NEGATIVE instead of POSITIVE...but the value is correct...

      dli na pwd sa virtual work ky i-locate pa man nimo daan ang lowest point...kung virtual work jud gamiton para sa maximum, i-locate sa daan ang lowest point using a different method.

    sir bakit po negative 15 ang Mab po?

      because when you sum up moment about the cutting section and equate it to zero, Mab and 15x are both counterclockwise so they have the same sign...so when you want to get the expression of M, you have to transpose 15x to the other side so it becomes negative..
